Dad has received great personalised care, all communication is excellent and we have both felt very supported during a difficult time. I feel confident staff notice any changes in Dad's health and respond promptly whilst keeping me informed. It feels like we're a team advocating for Dad and that has been priceless.
He's created strong bonds with staff and other service users so much so that he's decided to stay long term. The home has a warm and vibrant feel thanks to a wonderful staff team and I'm really happy for him that he's so settled.
Huge thanks to the Avenues team.

My uncle has recently been transferred to the Avenues Care Centre. I have been very impressed with all aspects of the Care Centre and its facilities and all of the staff are very professional, kind and caring. The care team were kind and very helpful.
And really tried to make our mother's time with them a happy and comfortable stay.
We cannot fault the care she received..and management team were very accommodating for our Mother's needs.
So many thanks to all the staff and management for the help our mother and ourselves received.

Nicky and her management team were fantastic with us and helped support us in a difficult period, and were kind and thoughtful about Mum's elderly husband on his visits too.
The care team do a very good job there, and Karen in particular is someone I'd like to mention as an outstanding person working at the home.
the building outside looks tired , but if you're doing 'drive- by' viewings , I strongly encourage you not to judge a book by its cover. What matters is the kindness and care shown by the people inside. We are very happy that our mum was looked after there .
Thank you for the feedback on the building and the Directors agree with your comments, It is in the care homes spring plan to update the outside of the building.
Always willing to assist and help.
A nice position in the area..
Overall the experience is agreeable.
Great team managing and running the home.
Hello and thank you for taking the time to leave a review for The Avenues Care Centre. Your thoughts and feedback mean a lot to us and I will share your positive thoughts with the team
Mum came to The Avenues earlier this year after being in hospital and I have been very pleased with the care provided. The staff are such a dedicated team and always welcome you with lovely smiles. As for the carers and management alike, nothing seems to be too much trouble, which gives me peace of mind that mum is being looked after so well. Above and beyond anything, mum's care is paramount. Everyone at The Avenues can be commended for all their hard work in achieving this. Thank you all.

The Carers were respectful, kind, gentle and infinitely patient with Dad. The environment is busy, but everyone took time to interact with him, make him feel important/safe/cared for, and to make him smile/laugh.
When Dad could no longer communicate properly, the staff still interacted with him perfectly, and anticipated his needs.
It is important to say that I visited most days, always unannounced, and spent most of my time in the communal areas with Dad. I consistently witnessed care, kindess, gentleness & positivity from the staff, even on particularly demanding days. They are a credit to their profession.
Management were always incredibly supportive to Dad, and to us as a family too
My Dad passed away peacefully at the Avenues with respect, dignity and care right to the end, for which I am very grateful.

During our frequent visits, we noticed the dedication and patience of the staff, who ensured they met the needs of all the residents. We were impressed by the friendliness of the home, with the staff knowing everyone's name and any special requirements. My mother enjoyed the food and the activities provided by The Avenues, which, along with the supportive environment, assisted her recuperation. She greatly appreciated everything that was done for her.
On leaving, the management expressed that they had loved looking after her, and that she would be welcome to return anytime for respite care, or to visit the friends she had made there. We highly recommend The Avenues Care Centre.

Mum moved into The Avenues 9 years ago after her advanced dementia made it impossible for me to look after her at home. Looking back I am very happy that the loving and individual care she has been receiving from the staff has confirmed to me that I made the right decision. So a big thank you from my family & myself to all the staff at The Avenues for the professional service and loving care that mum has received throughout these year.

This is my mum's second Christmas since she moved here last year. I can honestly say I've found the manager very supportive since my mum moved here. Management and staff have made every effort to make her feel welcome and included which I'm so grateful for.

My aunt never has any complaints or issues regarding her care or treatment by the staff. Normally there is always something to moan about but not here. It's not just a case of being polite, she is very happy here.

My sister has been at The Avenues for almost 2 years. The management and the staff have always been informative and caring. My sister has a lovely room which is decorated nicely and always warm. She also says that the meals are very good. I would like to thank everybody at The Avenues for their time and care for the time that my sister has been in your care. Many thanks.

Mum moved into The Avenues earlier this year after a deterioration in her dementia. When Mum arrived she was confused, worried and unhappy about no longer being able to live in her own home. All the staff at The Avenues have been wonderful with Mum since her first day, making her feel welcome, helping her settle in and showing patience and understanding on her bad days. Whenever I visit Mum the staff are smiling and take time to interact with residents, whether it be simply asking if they are ok or stopping to sit and have a chat. Mum has a lovely room, that my sister has made feel homely by adding some of Mum's belongings from home. There are activities that Mum can join in with if she wants to, or she can sit with other residents in the lounge or she can spend time in her room when she wants to. This flexibility makes Mum feel that she still has some independence. I cannot speak highly enough of The Avenues and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a care home to look after their loved one.

The Avenues Care Home cares for my Mother aged 90, she has been a resident there for three years, my Dad also used to share a room with her until he died recently. The staff care exceptionally for her above and beyond her needs checking she is looked after daily has coffee and sits downstairs with the staff in the community room. Would recommend the care home

My stepmother has been a resident since 2017. The work the home manager and the team do is excellent. They are always thoughtful and forward-looking. When my father died in the home in 2018 they were so kind and helpful.

I cannot thank the staff enough for their caring, tenderness and empathy with the residents. The home was clean with no nasty 'urine covered up with disinfectant' smells. My mother is in her 90s and has always been very independent and is still thankfully allowed to be but always watched and supervised when needed.
The staff didn't know when I was arriving so that alone told me everything. I was welcomed in, shown where she was and left to enjoy our visit. Security was very good with two locked and pinned doors before the front door can be accessed.
Thank you again so much, I will hopefully be back really soon.
