Mum has been at Framland for just 4 months, but my brothers and I have been very impressed, and Mum has settled well. The staff are always welcoming to us. They are all dedicated and caring. The manager is always ready to give her time to us when we have questions, and is very visible around the building.

Framlands has been a home to my mum for a year now and I cannot thank them enough for taking care of her so kindly.
Ever time I visit she tells me how much she loves the food and how kind the staff are. She sees Framlands as her home now, it is always clean and the staff always have a smile in their faces.

If you are looking for a caring environment for your loved one I cannot recommend this home high enough.

Our experience both in the lead up to my mum's move to Framland, and the settling in period following, has been excellent. The home has a friendly, caring, family environment, and the setting is lovely. Communication has been easy and efficient. The rooms are well equipped and homely. Staff are exceptional - everyone has been so helpful and welcoming, and mum is being extremely well cared for. I think what sets it apart is that it in no way feels like an "institutional" setting. It really feels like a home with an extended family. It's lovely for mum to be with others who share her faith, and some of whom she has known for years. I don't think we could have settled on a better home for her.

On 14th February, Framland put on an amazing Valentine's Day lunch and invited the relatives of residents. We were presented with a 3 course meal, all beautifully presented, followed by cheese and biscuits and tea/coffee. It meant so much to my mum to have all her sons and daughter sitting around the table together. She said it was such a precious time. The kitchen staff and others worked hard to make it happen. I believe it was the new manager's idea. It was the first time we have been invited so it meant a lot. Thank you.

My friend has dementia and he has not found the move into Framland easy and at times he has been quite difficult. The care staff have been wonderful so patient and understanding. They all make me very welcome which obviously helps. There is a very good "family" atmosphere which is very reassuring.

I would just like to say a very big thank you to all the staff at Farmland for taking such good care of my mother during the time she was there. Her physical health improved massively after she moved in, as a result of the care she was receiving; having proper meals, taking her medication, and generally being looked after. It took a little while for her to settle down but everyone worked hard to make her feel at home, and eventually, she was content to be there. We have observed the staff's kindness to Mum in many ways and have appreciated all the activities that have been organised for 'family members'. Particular thanks to the Maintenance Officer for his special care and attention towards Mum during a period when she was very low following a bereavement, and for encouraging her to continue solving crosswords for as long as possible.

Framland is not a purpose-built Home, but the pictures photos texts plus garden features give it a very comfortable homely feel. The Home is always clean in communal areas and rooms, and I have never noticed any unpleasant odours. The family members are treated with compassion and dignity and I am given to feel a valued presence as a regular visitor. The needs of each individual are met in a personal way with carers and other designated staff around to give company or attend to needs as they arise. Family members are encouraged to come to communal areas where they can join social activities which are both physically and mentally stimulating as well as fun! As it is a Christian Home I appreciate the opportunity to read the Bible/pray with family members as they wish, join in morning prayers or services, and then as volunteer to take part in outings to local Garden Centres etc.. The Manager is always available and if problems have arisen from visits they are dealt with straight away.

My move here was dictated largely by my wife's passing. A room was available, not ideal but ready. This affects my reviews. My problems are not life threatening but various and I have had to adjust and learn more than other people might have. Communication with the family is a problem but due to pressure on them and no criticism of the home.

I am extremely happy with the standard of care my Mother is receiving at Framlands. There is a peaceful, contented atmosphere in the home. The staff are very competent and caring, spending time interacting with the residents on a personal level as well as tending to their individual care needs in a professional way. Each person is valued and considered a member of the family. I highly recommend it.

Caring environment coming from management down demonstrating God's love! There is evidence of lots of activities but, because of severe hearing problems and age, Dad is not interested in getting involved in most of them. He really appreciates the Christian environment and the opportunity to talk to others about the Lord.

My father stayed at Framland for nearly 3 weeks of respite care. I observed that the staff were patient and kind and always willing to help. They took on board my father's individual care needs and interests and implemented these during his stay. This really gave me confidence that I was leaving my father in safe hands. The home is peaceful, the residents appear happy and there are thoughtfully planned activities to keep them occupied. Family members can visit at any time. The Christian ethos was an important factor in choosing Framland. My father loves having the bible read to him and was really touched when a young helper sat down with him to do this. It moved him to tears. As did being able to sing hymns and be a part of the devotionals each day. He returned home whistling in the car and was able to communicate that 'maybe I could go back there!'

Residents are kept occupied and cared for in a dignified and caring manner. The activities are varied and interesting, and there's plenty to keep them occupied. The resident's rooms are clean, and the food always seems good. Staff are friendly and helpful and take time to engage on an individual level. The level of care is exceptional.

This care home is a place of kindness and joy.
Nothing is too much trouble.
There are activities each day that encourages physical and mental health.
My sister, who struggles to communicate, is listened to, affirmed and encouraged.

My mother has been in Framland Care Home for over four years and is very happy there. The staff are caring, considerate and know the residents and their needs well. The home is well-organised, clean and orderly. The lounge is a lovely room with a great atmosphere where my mother loves to spend her time. The home ensures that there are a variety of activities going on, for example often people taking time to chat, play music, organise quizzes and fun exercises. This is a fairly small home and the Christian ethos is important with visitors from local churches contributing to life in the home. We have always found it welcoming when we have visited and often take my mother out for trips or to our house. We are pleased to be able to say that whilst she enjoys these trips, she is always happy to get back home to Framland.

I can’t speak highly enough of the love and care that my 97 year old Mum receives from all the staff at Framland. In the time that she’s been living there, I’ve observed the endless patience and respect shown to all family members and the constant drive to meet everyone’s personal preferences and choices. Prior to Mum moving in, she was asked about her interests, favourite foods and even the choice of paint colour for her room. Conversations about personal preferences are on-going to ensure that family members feel that Framland is their home. I am so grateful to the team in Framland that Mum has somewhere to live where I am fully confident that she is safe, cared for as an individual, given all the support that she needs, but equally is encouraged to be herself. Walking into Framland doesn’t feel like walking into a care home, instead it feels as if I’m walking into a large family home where everyone is valued and welcomed.
