Moor House

Specifically my sister and I would like to thank them for their extra care and support over the last 2 months where my dad was on end of life care. We will miss visiting Moor House, now our dad has passed, but will make sure we try and pop in when they are holding one of the family events. I would thoroughly recommend this care home.

Mum has been a resident at Moor House for the last 10 months, both mum and I are delighted with the decision we made for mum to move in. The care given is professional and very friendly. There's always engaging activities organised and fun outings arranged. Moor House has given my mum a new lease of life, new friendships and a safe secure home.

My father has been here for a year now, the care has been fantastic during that time and the staff have been outstanding during that time very attentive to my father needs and the rooms are nice and bright.

Since my mother has been there which is 2 years I can relax & not worry about her knowing she is well cared for.

My friend has been staying at Moorhouse for respite care, she has settled in very well and it is great to see her looking so good. All the staff are very friendly and the home is very welcoming with great facilities. I would definitely recommend this care home.

Marvelous place, with lots going on, great food and staff. I really recommend the home in Staines, worth a visit to have a look around if you need someone who needs care, could go on and on if you want but do have a look.

When family roles are reserved, it's devastating. That's what happened to my mother and I last year, a home had to be found. Moor House was recommended to me. The manageress was very helpful about the move as my mum was coming from the county council. The home had a lovely atmosphere, small, cosy, light and airy with a pretty garden, of course, my mum was furious, but with the help of happy, smiling staff, she soon settled in. The entertainment ladies are brilliant, the effort they put in to keep the residents occupied is amazing e.g visits to the garden centre, small country walks, parlour games and arranging many musical performances, singing all the old songs. Pamparings hair, nails, chiropody, dental care and GP visits for all. Not forgetting the brilliant chef! A truly wonderful team.

Finding Moor House has been a blessing. My mum moved into Moor House in September 2022 and she found a loving and caring family there. All the staff is absolutely amazing: they are competent, professional and truly care for the residents. Being Italian, my mum's use and understanding of the English language has never been great and her suffering from dementia didn't make it any better. Despite that, the entire staff went above and beyond and my mum felt the love and care from everyone there. Entertainment is great and I've been amazed on what my mum was able to do and how much fun she had doing the various activities. The building and facilities are top notch as well. It's simply an outstanding place where you can rest assured your loved ones are in safe hands.

The staff can never seem to do enough to care for all the residents. They are always cheerful working tirelessly to create a caring, friendly and welcoming environment. I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home and my mum is very happy as a resident.

My mother is the most precious person to me and I am reassured and safe in the knowledge that Moor House is outstanding in its care and activities for mum.

On every visit, the care provided has been excellent. There are activities always available at an appropriate level. My mother is very happy with her choice and is settled well into her new home. The staff are attentive and show genuine concern for her wellbeing and care. The home is well run and maintained.

Mum first went to Moor House for respite care following a hospital stay, and was immediately made welcome. She very quickly felt very comfortable and cared for. The staff took time to tend to her needs, and it was a simple decision for her to become a permanent resident when it was clear that a return to the family home was not viable. Friends who visited her at Moor House were impressed by how well she was being looked after, and as a family, we were very confident that living at Moor House was the best decision that could have been made for mum’s safety, care and well-being. Activities were numerous, varied and frequent, and included trips out, interesting visiting speakers and many different sessions of carpet bowls, quizzes, flower arranging and bananagrams. After being very restricted in social interaction during lockdown, Mum enjoyed just over 6 months at Moor House until she passed away. We could not recommend Moor House highly enough.

Under the current situations, the staff have done a magnificent job keeping the resident's spirits up with the ongoing organisation of a variety of activities and assisting the families to keep in touch with their loved one with photos, video calls and regular updates to how they are. We are incredibly grateful to them all for caring for our Mum, going above and beyond.

My mother has lived at Moor House for over 3 years and we have been very happy with the care she has received. Mum's room is pleasant and spacious. The manager and staff team are dedicated, friendly and welcoming. They have worked particularly hard to keep the residents safe during the current pandemic. The activities manager has been especially helpful in facilitating socially distanced visits and finding ways for us to communicate with mum who is totally deaf. I would recommend Moor House very highly.

I am so relieved we found this care home for my mother, they have been marvellous from the beginning, but they have excelled during the current situation with the pandemic. Kept the residents safe, cared for them when no relatives could visit and kept them entertained to relieve boredom. There was constant contact via, Whatsapp throughout too.

Since the lockdown, staff have continued to support both residents and families to make the situation more bearable, and despite the difficulties relevant staff have successfully kept residents occupied and happy. I have full trust in the care provided. The best home I have ever seen.

A wonderful community where every resident is valued and cared for. Each and every staff member goes above and beyond the call of duty to keep the residents safe, happy and well. I cannot praise it highly enough.
