On every visit, the care provided has been excellent. There are activities always available at an appropriate level. My mother is very happy with her choice and is settled well into her new home. The staff are attentive and show genuine concern for her wellbeing and care. The home is well run and maintained.

Mum first went to Moor House for respite care following a hospital stay, and was immediately made welcome. She very quickly felt very comfortable and cared for. The staff took time to tend to her needs, and it was a simple decision for her to become a permanent resident when it was clear that a return
to the family home was not viable. Friends who visited her at Moor House were impressed by how well she was being looked after, and as a family, we were very confident that living at Moor House was the best decision that could have been made for mum’s safety, care and well-being. Activities were numerous, varied and frequent, and included trips out, interesting visiting speakers and many different sessions of carpet bowls, quizzes, flower arranging and bananagrams. After being very restricted in social interaction during lockdown, Mum enjoyed just over 6 months at Moor House until she passed away. We could not recommend Moor House highly enough.

Our family have been delighted with the welcome our Mum has received this last year, at Moor House. We feel she has joined a family, and the fears we had her leaving her home, have been allayed. The warm and welcoming atmosphere has enabled her to settle in easily and to begin to enjoy life. The communication
we have with all the staff is very good, and their readiness to listen to any concerns we have and act on them is very reassuring. Moor House, itself, is a lovely facility, in a beautiful setting, it would, however, benefit by being updated in parts, such as the resident's bathrooms.
Under the current situations, the staff have done a magnificent job keeping the resident's spirits up with the ongoing organisation of a variety of activities and assisting the families to keep in touch with their loved one with photos, video calls and regular updates to how they are. We are incredibly grateful to them all for caring for our Mum, going above and beyond.

My mother has lived at Moor House for over 3 years and we have been very happy with the care she has received. Mum's room is pleasant and spacious. The manager and staff team are dedicated, friendly and welcoming. They have worked particularly hard to keep the residents safe during the current pandemic.
The activities manager has been especially helpful in facilitating socially distanced visits and finding ways for us to communicate with mum who is totally deaf. I would recommend Moor House very highly.

I am so relieved we found this care home for my mother, they have been marvellous from the beginning, but they have excelled during the current situation with the pandemic. Kept the residents safe, cared for them when no relatives could visit and kept them entertained to relieve boredom. There was constant
contact via, Whatsapp throughout too.

My mother has been a resident for two years and in that time her mobility and overall health has improved with the excellent care and facilities that Moor House offer. Management and staff alike go above and beyond to make residents feel at home and are always available if I have any concerns.
Moor
House provides a home from home atmosphere, when looking at the home initially I independently spoke to residents who said they were happy with their decision to be there, and my mum has felt the same. Mum, who had left her home of over 50 years, now calls Moor House home. Staff treat all residents with dignity and the day is full of activities and entertainment, which are provided with thought and care.
Since the lockdown, staff have continued to support both residents and families to make the situation more bearable, and despite the difficulties relevant staff have successfully kept residents occupied and happy. I have full trust in the care provided. The best home I have ever seen.

A wonderful community where every resident is valued and cared for. Each and every staff member goes above and beyond the call of duty to keep the residents safe, happy and well. I cannot praise it highly enough.

When searching for a suitable home for my mother, I visited all within a 15-mile catchment of her home. My father had passed away and after 71 years my mother was reeling. From the first visit and subsequent respite, my mother was impressed. The home is very well run and staffed and small - 25 residents.
Every issue has been dealt with to my satisfaction, the staff listen and have made my mother feel at home again. Social activities are excellent. The staff show dedication, compassion and treat my mother with respect. I feel thankful to them all, not forgetting the unsung heroes.

My mother-in-law has been resident at Moor House for two years. It was (and still is) the best care home we have seen. Very comfortable. Extremely friendly. Superb care. All in a relaxed environment.

My father in law is a full-time carer for my mother in law as she is immobile and suffers from Alzheimer's along with other medical needs. He needed to undergo a hernia operation and we realised that they would both need full-time care for a few weeks after the operation. We approached Moor House
to talk about respite care so that they could both go in together and my father in law could get the rest he needed whilst my mother in law could receive the care she needed. Moor House was amazing. It was like we had taken them to a family home. Nothing was too much for any of the carers, they accommodated everything that they needed and made sure they stuck to the routine that my mother in law was familiar with rather than imposing any of their regimes on her. The food is freshly cooked and very nutritious. They have activities every morning and every afternoon for the residents to engage in if they want to. Moor House comes with a high recommendation from us!
