The staff were very easy to talk to and extremely accomodating. It was a quick turnaround to get my mother into the home. We were incredibly well supported with this. The room is lovely with easy access to the bathroom. The grounds are beautiful. A massive thanks to all the team.

Good pre-stay communication & tour of Home prior to stay. Choice of suitable room(s) & they went to a lot of trouble to prepare room. Very comfortable. Warm welcome on arrival & help with luggage. The promise of regular showers (only one in Home) was not forthcoming. Regular access to garden in good weather was enjoyed. Leaving Home at end of stay was a bit haphazard - had to find carer to help.

I could turn a room into a comfortable living space if I had to reside here.

The staff are truly wonderful - they treat her with such dignity, warmth, and genuine affection. Every aspect of the home is excellent, from the cleanliness and the quality of the meals to the engaging activities. Most importantly, it gives our family total peace of mind knowing she is in such a safe, supportive, and loving environment.

We couldn't ask for a better home for her; Ridgegate is an extension of our own home.

My sister is always comfortable and happy. The staff are very caring and are obviously very fond of her. She is well looked after. There seem to be a very good range of activities and although my sister is not really able to participate very much, she does seem to enjoy the music and singing.

Staff are very nice, kind and caring towards mum. There has been some issues with kitchen equipment which have caused meals not being quite up to scratch. Should the garden gate be kept unlocked? The building was easily accessed on 5th March via this route when I came to take mum out for the afternoon. Hence my lower ratings.

Mum has been in Ridgegate since December 25 and she needed help with her mental health as well as her physical health. The care team work hard with us the family and the medical team from the local surgery. And she is now very happy in her environment. Her room is always clean and fresh. The staff are all extremely friendly and very professional with mums needs along with the other residents in the home. We would fully recommend Ridgegate to any other family's looking for care.

Respite care for mum went well and provided opportunity for a much needed break. All staff were helpful and courteous and mum was happy with her experience. She was able to get her hair done whilst there and made friends with many of the residents. Thanks for taking care of her!

They have no problem with visitors turning up at the home at any time, and also being accompanied by family pets.

Mum has received excellent care and support from all the Ridgegate Residential Home team including her GP, hairdresser and the in-house activities. The home is kept to a high standard of freshness and cleanliness. Mum especially enjoys the food menu and really looks forward to meal times and home made treats. They respect Mum's choices and treat her with dignity. She feels safe.

I was in Ridgegate myself for 4 weeks after 5 weeks in East Surrey Hospital. I was well looked after and cared for by the dedicated and management team.

Ridgegate was home for my mother-in-law for nearly four years, and during that time she was exceptionally well looked after. We have only the highest praise for the staff who care for all the residents. The warmth and compassion shown to my mother-in-law was remarkable. The staff kind, thoughtful and very caring in their desire to meet her every need. They built a very strong relationship with my mother-in-law, and they made her feel safe and secure. We always felt that they knew her as a person, not just another resident. As family members we all felt very at home there when visiting - the management team do a great job in choosing a team of very dedicated staff. The activities and entertainment were always very good with huge effort going into marking special events - birthdays, Christmas etc, which is testament to the commitment of the staff. We have no hesitation in recommending Ridgegate, and feel very grateful that this was where we chose for my mother-in-law to be.

My mother received respite care on a number of occasions at Ridgegate. She always had a happy stay and was well looked after. The home was chosen after my grandad had been looked after 2 years prior.

Mum has lived at Ridgegate for a number of years and it is where she feels comfortable, it's home. Her care needs have recently become more complex and these changes have been met with compassion, dignity and patience. Many of the staff have formed strong attachments to Mum, she is genuinely loved as well as receiving expert care. This is particularly important to me as I live in a different part of the country and need to know she has a safe harbour. Lovely building and gardens, a good range of activities, careful and considered nutrition, extremely clean, kind and attentive staff, and clear communication pathways with the care team and management. The best place for Mum.

Mum originally was admitted into Ridgegate as an emergency admission five years ago due to intermittent bouts of illness, the home had been recommended to us as a family. At a time when we were all very worried about our mum's health Ridgegate provided a safe place for her to stay as well as providing the care she required at the time. We knew from the very first time we stepped into Ridgegate what a special place it was and still is, the management and staff are extremely kind, compassionate and caring, you could see why it was called 'A Home with a Heart'. The Manager, Deputy and senior care team were always approachable, professional and transparent and each time we visited Mum we were greeted and treated like old friends. Over the five years, Mum stayed at Ridgegate many times for respite, each time we experienced the same level of care and kindness. I would not hesitate in recommending Ridgegate to anyone.

I have always found the staff and management at Ridgegate to be very friendly and helpful in caring for my friend who is not always the easiest person to deal with. Members of management have at times gone out of their way to assist with matters which are not strictly their responsibility. I feel quite confident that my friend is receiving a very good level of care and is certainly much happier now they are at Ridgegate than when they were alone at home previously with carers visiting. There is a very homely atmosphere, and I have been told by my friend the food is good and that the chef is happy to prepare food to suit residents' requirements. There are regular activities, an excellent hairdresser, and a very pleasant garden room and garden.
