Whenever we come to visit our mother, she always seems very settled and as happy as is possible, considering her mental health. The staff are all very friendly and willing to help. Her bedroom is always clean and tidy and she is very well fed.

The care home was more than just a place of residence, it provided a genuine caring service to not only my mother but all residents as we were frequently in the home.

This caring, concerned, helpful, attentive and dedicated attitude by all staff was reflected by my mother who was also happy, relaxed, interactive, slept and ate well. I could not rate the whole home more highly and given the difficult situations that sometimes occurred were always professional.

I am very happy to review Quinnell House Care Home. I have visited my Mum - in -Law on a regular basis over the last year while she was a resident there. Sadly she had advanced Alzheimers and passed away on the 17th December 2018 at the grand age of 97. My visits were always pleasurable and on different days and times so I quickly built up a picture of how well all the residents were treated, always happy and the staff genuinely cared. The meals looked appetising and anyone struggling to eat was fed. The family were always informed if Mum was unwell or needed anything. The room was spotless as was the en-suite bathroom. We would be offered a cup of tea and often cake. It felt as near to home as it could be. On Mums last day with us, we were treated with kindness and Mum was made comfortable and passed away with dignity. I would recommend this Home. Thank you to all the staff that looked after our Mum.

What a lovely home! I was so surprised at how homey it is and how lovely the staff are. A brilliant manager that goes out of her way to accommodate. Staff help the resident settle in well and always ask what more they can do! A breath of fresh air.

My mother has been in Quinnell House for 18 months now. In the early days, her behaviour was challenging in the extreme.
Now she is happy and well looked after.

Quinnell House has done a great job and you should be proud of yourselves.

My husband and I are very impressed with the wonderful attitude and care that all the staff give to the residents and relatives. This home is a wonderful example of what care is all about. A lot of homes could well do to follow your excellent example. Well done and thank you.

When my very elderly parents could no longer live safely independently, we were fortunate to find Quinnell House who were able to accommodate both of them. Their different needs were met (mum has vascular dementia) and both of them settled in well. The family are welcomed to visit at any time and are always pleased to find our parents content and well cared for. A comprehensive review system has been introduced to allow for the opportunity to discuss any issues with their key worker, this is very welcome and reassuring. Meals are prepared on site and the current cook works hard to provide nutritious and appetising food. Rooms are cleaned and serviced regularly and thoroughly and laundry is done daily by a core team of regular staff who have all contributed to the welfare and comfort of our parents.

There is a good core team of regular carers and when agency staff are used, we are satisfied with the standard and continuity of care.

My mother-in-law has been a resident of Quinnel House for over a year. Although there have been a few changes in management the care she has received has been consistently good. I cannot praise the carers enough. They have the most challenging job but always make time for all the residents. They treat them with such kindness, patience and with such dignity. We have always found the staff to be very approachable and even when they are over stretched they will take time to talk over any concerns the family have.

Settled in well, found mum not up in the mornings, had no breakfast, dinner lukewarm and just left. Spoke to the manager and the situation was resolved immediately. No problems since, mum always up, dressed and washed. Going down for breakfast etc.

The staff here treat everyone with utmost respect and genuine love like they were looking after one of their own. My dad is so loved and cared for, it makes the illness so much easier to bear. The home is spotless, well equipped and well run but the love and caring inside the home is second to none. We were so fortunate to find this place.

An excellent caring home. Clean and bright and the staff treat each resident with dignity. Lots of cuddles if upset, lots of patients in sometimes difficult situations. I have peace of mind that I know my Mum is being well cared for. If I ever have a problem, they sort it straight away and the biggest bonus for me is they ask how I am when feeling low.

The home was spotless and the staff were so friendly. The first thing on entering I was asked would I like a cup of tea or coffee. The patience of the nurses was unbelievable, while we were walking around (and that was for an hour) we met many of the staff and everyone made a fuss of my friend and showed me his room and the garden. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them. There are no words to express what a wonderful place it is.
