My mother-in-law stayed at Nova House for most of 2025, and we couldn't have asked for kinder care. The manager Tony assessed her in hospital and was warm and engaging, immediately putting her at ease and even making her laugh.
The staff were consistently friendly and compassionate, and it was reassuring to see familiar faces throughout her stay. The food looked very good with plenty of choice, and we were always made to feel welcome during visits, often with tea, coffee, and biscuits. We were also able to bring our dog, which brought her and the other residents great joy.
In her final weeks, when she was receiving end-of-life care, the staff showed real dignity and compassion. She was always comfortable and beautifully cared for, and we were able to spend precious time with her, even late into the evenings.

We would highly recommend Nova House as a caring and supportive home.

My father-in-law was discharged from hospital two years ago into the care of Nova House. There is an immediate sense of warmth and welcome when you enter, not least because of the delicious aroma of food cooking from the kitchen. The management, Tony, Mardoth, Petar and Carers, Kate, Jodie - to name but a few - have all made us feel welcome and indulged us with cups of tea and biscuits when we were there. The Summer Fete is a revelation - the raffle, compered by Tony - a saga that goes on and on, as the multitude of prizes are dispatched!
Sadly Dad passed recently and the compassion
shown to us has been genuine and heartfelt.

I know how worrying choosing a care home for a loved one is and would happily recommend Nova House for the dignity, respect, care and compassion they have shown Dad.

Our Dad chose to move to Nova House in October 2024. A decision he never regretted. Nova House was a real 'home from home' which was down to the exceptional care and support of Tony and the whole staff team. Nothing was ever any trouble, and Dad was able to carry on doing the things that meant so much to him. Dad enjoyed all aspects of his life at Nova but especially the entertainment and the scrabble games.

Sadly, our dad passed away in August but the exceptional love and care he received meant he could stay somewhere he felt safe and secure which meant so much to all his family.

The whole family want to give their heartfelt thanks for the love and care given to our dad and for the support extended to us at a very hard time.

Your lovely words are much appreciated. Frank was a smashing all-around Gentleman, who was a real part of Nova House, along with active involvement in our community, his multitude of visitors, some of the most difficult jigsaws ever seen by man! and his frequent trips out. I genuinely believed that he would be with us for many years, and he is sorely missed. Many thanks again.

I cannot fault Nova House. The staff and manager go above and beyond to meet the needs of the residents. My aunt's care was second to none. She was extremely content at Nova House. It's not a care home but more like a big family house, with it's homely decor and such a warm and friendly environment. I was so glad my aunt spent her final months at such a lovely place. I would highly recommend!

Nova House is a wonderful care home. The staff really do care.
My mother lived there for 6 years until she passed away recently. She was very happy there and called it "home". She loved the carers and would often tell us their names and something about them.
She enjoyed the food, weekly quiz and bingo. She had a number of friends over the years and enjoyed the lunches and chatting with them on a daily basis.
The home is also very well run by a sympathetic and caring manager and admin team.
In the last few weeks of her life, the staff not only cared for Mum but for family members too for which we are very grateful. We could visit any time to sit with her and nothing was too much trouble.

I highly recommend this lovely caring home.

My Father was widowed about a year ago and was in Nova House as a resident at the time, he spent the past year being cared for by what I can only describe as the kindest members of staff that I've come across. He suffered from dementia and was sometimes very confused and agitated, the Manager and his staff went above and beyond to give him the best care he could get. There was never a negative word spoken and they helped give myself and family members the confidence that he was always safe and cared for. The meals were lovely the rooms were great and the whole atmosphere was calm and loving. I can't speak highly enough of the people who I have come to view as not only staff but as friends.

I would and have recommended Nova House to any and everyone. It is homely with extremely caring staff, who are clearly happy to be at work and good friends with each other. The place smells of good home cooking and nothing is too much bother. The communication is excellent, management and staff top-notch.

Many thanks for your kind words. Given our efforts, and the many exploits to get your mum to Nova, I like to think that there was a very positive period, albeit short, where she was comfortable, happy and well looked after. You were truly fantastic, committed family, trying everything. There were genuinely truly some lovely moments.

I am Power of Attorney and friend of a resident at Nova House for 4 years. She was unable to look after herself at home following a replacement hip when she was 98 years old and we had to consider a care home for her. At Nova House, she was looked after so well that she thrived for 4 years until she was 102 and then required nursing care after a stay in hospital.
The manager and his staff come highly commended and I am so grateful to them for caring for her so well. I cannot thank them enough and I know she would thank them too. She felt quite at home there and loved the banter, the food, getting out into the fresh air, and the trips out. Through covid and beyond, the staff went over and above to look after her well and treat her as one of the family.

We were very fortunate to find a bed at Nova for her in her time of need and I can't thank them enough.

In 2018, my mother spent four months in Nova House in respite after suffering a fall at home. She returned to her own home and just about managed (with visiting carers) until December 2019. At this point, and without any prompting from any family members, my mum decided that she wanted to move back to Nova House as a permanent resident. Next month, she will be 97, and is totally content with her "home" at Nova House and doesn't regret her decision to move there permanently. She is now in a safe, caring and homely environment, which is a huge relief to our family. We can visit regularly, and the management and staff are all brilliant and always welcoming. I would highly recommend Nova House, a real "home from home".

We chose Nova House for my mother as it was clean, safe and welcoming. The manager took a huge amount of time to get to know Mum's needs and as a result, her time at Nova House was well catered for. The staff were kind, compassionate and treated Mum with respect and dignity. They kept the family well-informed at all times.

My mother’s words about this home really sum it up well..she says ‘ they cannot do enough for you. I get plenty of cups of tea and biscuits’. She is 96 now and up until the beginning of this year had lived on her own. Several falls meant she needed 24 hour care and she moved into Nova House. Her life changed instantly, she had company, health and personal care, good food, and entertainment. The current situation has of course meant that we could not see her but I was always kept up to date on what was happening. I knew that she was in safe hands. I don’t like to think what would have happened if she was still in her own home as she lived such a long way from me. We are now able to visit in person with social distancing which is wonderful. I highly recommend this home. Everyone is kind, caring and professional. My mum is happy and content so what more can I say?

My father spent the last few years of his life at Nova House. I live on the other side of the world and it was important to me to know that he was comfortable, safe and well looked after in this homely environment. Whenever I came to visit I saw that the staff cared so much, not just for him but for all the residents and I was made to feel welcome too.

My dad spent the last three years of his life at Nova House. During this time, he was very well looked after by all of the staff and was treated with great dignity and kindness. The staff were also very welcoming to his family and we were grateful that there were no restrictions on visiting times. The manager of Nova House is absolutely wonderful – extremely compassionate and wise and I always knew that with him at the helm, my father was in the safest of hands. I would have no hesitation in recommending Nova House as a caring and supportive environment for anyone in the final years of their lives.

For the entire period during which my mother was a resident at Nova House, I was completely satisfied with the care and attention which she received.
Never once did I see any member of the staff show impatience or anger at the residents.

I was always impressed with the cheerfulness and kindness shown by all the staff to all the residents. I believe the entire community was a happy one. I would certainly recommend Nova House to anyone.

Nova House is truly a home from home.
All the staff are polite, caring and helpful to everybody and treat my mother like family.
