My husband suffered a sudden brain injury and could no longer live at home with the family. Our home borough found it so difficult to accommodate him due to no physical disability. He spent many months in inappropriate old people's homes. Since finding Steatfield, his life and ours have taken a significant
upwards turn. He is happy, well cared for and participates in lots of imaginative activities. A true home-from-home.

It has been really beautiful to finally get to see my friend over the festive period. I'm so grateful for the staff keeping them safe and well and maintaining as normal a life as possible during the Covid-19 pandemic.

I was lucky enough to be in a position to volunteer and do some crafts and activities with the residents for a good chunk of 2020. While I was there, I got to witness the outstanding level of care and compassion the staff have not just towards the residents but to each other. Every one of the service
users was so happy, and I really enjoyed spending time with them and getting to know them.

During this difficult time in the midst of Covid-19, I have been very impressed with the care my friend has had. I have also been given access to talk to my friend on Skype calls over the last 4 months. The residents are really well looked after and cared for. The staff took the time to address the
needs of my resident in care. The activities that the team put on were very entertaining and, obviously, well planned. I haven’t seen my friend look so happy and contented. Keep up the good work, very impressed with the Streatfeild house team.

My mother was living independently, but after a recent hospital stay, her care needs increased dramatically. While searching for a skilled care home, I've come across Streatfeild House.
Staff have all been really friendly, caring, and take great notes for one another. I speak with the manager quite
often because of my mom's increasing needs and her changing behaviour. She is compassionate, professional, friendly, and a joy to work with. I would absolutely recommend this home without any question.

First impressions always count and this care home really feels so warm and welcoming every time we visit our friend. The care and love received are above exceptional and especially in the last few months during the lockdown, we were able to see our dear friend via Skype.

I have worked at Streatfeild House since 2011. In those years, I have built relationships with the residents that will last a lifetime. I have worked in various roles in those years, but my passion is for activities and making a difference to individuals' lives and their well-being.


I ensure the activities are meaningful and tailored to the individual's needs, planning engaging group activities to bring people together, and facilitating person-centred outings in the community. Constantly striving to improve the residents' quality of life by promoting their independence, supporting them to set goals and aspirations and supporting them in achieving them.


I feel privileged to be able to truthfully say I love my job, I’m fortunate enough to be in a role which enables me to enhance and enrich the lives of others, it's truly rewarding.
