Lennox Lodge is a small family owned Residential Home situated in Bexhill. The management team have been running Lennox for over 20 years and have a well established staffing team, with some staff having been employed for over 10 years.

Lennox Lodge is a largely purpose built accommodation, with some of the most breath taking views over Bexhill, with some reaching over to Beachy Head. The team pride themselves on having a home from home atmosphere, which is provided whether a long-term stay or a short-term respite stay is required.

My aunt was placed in this care home in November 2022 for respite and continued on as a permanent resident until last month (sadly more complex nursing home needs now).
My family and I could not rate this home any higher!
All staff are exemplary and an absolute credit to the well-organised running
of this establishment. Professionalism, warmth, and genuine care for residents are at the very top of what made my aunt (and us in turn) so grateful for her experience here, from laundry, and kitchen staff to carers and management.
There are many activities for residents such as live cuddle animals, chair yoga, movie night complete with hot chocolate etc. Day events celebrating holidays and fundraisers, with family invited.
The rooms are very cosy and well thought out, and the delicious aroma of food at mealtimes is enticing.
Very well recommended to anyone considering a home that has a distinct cosy feel, without the feeling of a sterile hospital room as some care homes have.

My mother stayed at Lennox Lodge for a period of three weeks respite, due to me going on holiday. I felt at ease that my mother was safe and well cared for whilst I was away. I cannot fault the care and support my mother received and when the time comes for my mother to go into permanent care there
is no doubt that we will choose Lennox Lodge. The staff and management were friendly and attentive to all of my mother's needs, she reports that all of the food served throughout her stay was fresh and hot and she enjoyed it all. My mother joined in with many activities throughout her stay and stated there was plenty going on and she enjoyed playing bingo with lots of lovely prizes, well done to all the staff for their hard work.

My mum has been at the home for over eleven years, I couldn't have chosen a more caring place for her to live. Lennox Lodge is a safe, clean home from home where the staff are kind, attentive and the food is of a high quality. I highly recommend Lennox Lodge and can't thank them enough for everything
they do for my mum.

Very homely atmosphere and friendly staff. Residents are well cared for and are as happy as they can be away from home. Nice feel as you enter the home, and no nasty smells. The dining room has a homely feel to it with a welcoming feeling. Not sampled any food, but believe it to be good quality. Homemade
cakes look delicious.

My dad has been living at Lennox Lodge for the past year now. He was living independently at home but started needing more care - he initially went in for two weeks of respite but quickly became a permanent resident. Within days he was settled and asking if he could stay there. It is such a weight
off of my mind knowing he is being looked after 24 hours a day. The staff are absolutely amazing and my dad loves them all. The home has a really friendly/family feel about it there and the staff are always really welcoming when we visit. I cannot recommend the home highly enough, my dad is so happy there and the care he receives is outstanding.

This is a very special place. The staff are outstanding in every way, the residents always come first, and they are all treated with dignity and such care and thoughtfulness, I cannot thank them enough for the way they made my step-mums last few years so special and happy. She loved her room, the happy
atmosphere and especially the food and of course the company of the other lovely residents and all the Staff. Thank you all at Lennox Lodge you are all brilliant!

They became her family during lockdown and the care she received could not have been better. I would recommend Lennox Lodge to anyone and everyone. A massive "Thank You" to all the staff, you

My nanny has resided at this wonderful home for over four years and is happy and well looked after. They helped her settle in at her pace as she was not ready to leave her home but was also not safe living alone. They treat her as an individual with dignity, respect, humour and kindness. They allow
her the choice of whether to engage with other residents or to stay in her room. The staff treat my nan as a loved relative and keep my uncle updated about her care and health. The home is always clean and the food is of great quality. The staff work tirelessly to create a safe and happy home and many have worked there for many years. During the pandemic, the staff have done a fantastic job of protecting their residents and have only had a few asymptomatic cases during the last 15 months. They also purchased an IPad so families could FaceTime relatives and this has been a wonderful way to see my nanny’s face. I highly recommend choosing this care home to care for your loved ones.

I first came to Lennox Lodge in April 2019. The warm and welcoming atmosphere was immediately apparent and reinforced by the caring and dedicated staff. It is a happy place. Having witnessed the care given to a friend as he has deteriorated, no praise is too high for the staff and management.

Since my mum has lived at Lennox Lodge she is happier and healthier than before. Because she has limited mobility, the very lovely and caring staff help Mum to get washed and dressed, they put her compression stockings on which stop her from getting ulcers as previously. The cleanliness stop her from
getting urine infections as previously. The premises are well cared for as are the residents, who are treated as loved relations. The staff know her needs and likes and dislikes. They do so much more than basic care and that do it so willingly, they keep me informed which is so important.

I have been in Lennox Lodge as a resident for over two years and cannot fault the care here in any way. The food is excellent, hot and well presented. Any requests are readily available. The staff are willing and cheerful and it is a real homely atmosphere. Every comfort is provided. Born in 1927 and
a trained nurse and midwife. I have worked in India and Africa and seen many care homes.

I rang the home to arrange an extra visit to my dad for my mum and I, and was impressed with the friendly, polite staff member who immediately asked if we would like to join Dad for lunch. When my mum and I arrived on the day the home was strikingly clean and well organised. The staff were all very
friendly and attentive. We stayed for a very nice three course lunch made all the more special as the three of us were together. Most importantly my dad is happy and very well cared for at Lennox Lodge.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.778)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.778) out of 10 for Lennox Lodge is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 18 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 18 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.828 for Lennox Lodge is calculated as follows: ( (179 Excellents x 5) + (35 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 215 Ratings = 4.828
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.95 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Lennox Lodge is based on 18 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.95
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 30 registered maximum number of service users is 6, which has been reached with 18 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
