Head and shoulders above the other care homes in the area. So impressed with their service, care and love that they give to each resident. Beautiful surroundings overlooking the South Downs. Could not recommend it more highly.

Since the moment Mum arrived in this unfamiliar environment, at a very difficult time for us all, a year ago, not only has she received excellent support, mindful of all her individual needs but so have we as a very concerned family. The road of ongoing care of an elderly, vulnerable and much loved relative can be very bumpy and unpredictable. We have found that the communications of management and staff have been helpful, caring and professional throughout, always with Mum’s best interests at heart. Day to day care and attention is very good with sensitive touches throughout, from personal care to catering to maintenance to gardening (beautiful) and the well-being activities which are superb. Housekeeping is thorough and professional with a high level of attention to cleanliness and hygiene, vital in these unprecedented times. I have the highest respect for the way in which all at Barlavington have and are handling the pandemic and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it as a home.

We cannot thank all the staff at Barlavington Manor enough. They are all amazing and have changed my brother's life for the better. It has been such a challenging time in this sector and what these people do is underappreciated. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. This is such a fantastic care home!

It can be very difficult to decide on a care home, but since my mother moved into Barlavington Manor in early February 2021, I have continually been delighted with my choice. I trust the staff implicitly with my mother's care and they do anything and everything they can to make my mother feel safe and well looked after. She repeatedly tells me how lovely the carers are and I can see this for myself too, they are simply amazing. I have frequent communication with the manager and her staff and am kept very well informed of my mother's needs and issues. The situation for care homes during the Covid pandemic has been awful, but everyone at Barlavington has done their utmost, within the regulations, to enable visits and to make me feel welcome. Barlavington Manor is not only a grand building with the character that goes with that, but it is also very well maintained, elegantly decorated and truly feels like a home from home.

These amazing people do not get the credit they deserve. They did such an amazing job making my husband’s final years comfortable and filled with joy. Always have a smile on their face and are there to help in any way possible.

Our mum spent the last year at Barlavington Manor. All the management and staff showed her great kindness, patience and care. The staff have shown 100% dedication to all their residents especially in these difficult times. As well as an idyllic setting overlooking the downs, the overall care at Barlavington Manor is second to none.

My wife has dementia and is very well provided for at Barlavington. I visit her all day every day. She is well-fed and I eat with her most visits. We are very well supported by the staff and happy with everything and we can come and go as we please.

Everyone at the Manor from the gardeners to the chefs work incredibly hard to maintain what is pretty much a five-star hotel with care. Barlavington Manor is definitely not your average care home, as soon as you step inside it is immediately clear you have stepped into somewhere special.

Transitioning a family member into elderly care is often difficult. However, Barlavington Manor has brought reassurance to the family and comfort to our aunt. The facilities are beautiful, the staff offer a nurturing disposition, and the degree of dignity provided is heartening. The activities offered provide communal spirit, which is especially important during these difficult months. Barlavington Manor is a remarkable care facility and experience for all involved.

My mother is at Barlavington Manor and I genuinely couldn't be happier. I am so glad I came across them, they are leaps ahead of other care homes local to us. The staff are fantastic and the facilities are amazing - highly recommend.

I have visited many care homes and Barlavington Manor really impressed me the most. The staff are very caring and attentive and offer a wide range of activities and services to support residents. In the short time that my mother has lived there, she has been well looked after and has really come out of her shell. It has been great for her to be able to get involved with her passion of gardening. Rooms are clean and fresh, food appetising, and relatives are welcomed and made to feel part of the community that has been created there.

The staff and the management are just so kind and go the extra mile. We have never felt that we were compromising by placing my aunt here and the most important thing is that she doesn't feel that way either. I can't tell you how much of a relief it is to know that she's in such good hands.
