Very good place to be. Food is good.
The care given was so kind, professional and patient.
Mum felt safe and was able to socialise or stay in her own room as she chooses. Lots of effort is made to make this a happy "home from home".
I will be forever grateful to all at Hollymead for their excellent care of Mum.
My mother has always felt safe and well cared for at Hollymead House. Her family have had confidence in the staff (day and night) and management. Communications with the home and between the home and medical services have been good. Above all the care and kindness of the staff cannot be faulted.
The care staff were wonderful, even though Mum's final days. They treated her with dignity and respect.
Covid 19 struck the home two days after a resident moved in for respite so activities were cancelled but staff were very attentive and made sure the resident was okay. LFT and PCR tests were regularly done to keep all safe. An excellent home I would give 10/10.
My mother had a nasty fall and was hospitalised. On leaving hospital she went to Hollymead House for rest and recuperation. Almost immediately she was full of praise for the establishment. The care given was excellent. All of her needs were catered for and she loved the food! The liaison with the staff and myself was brilliant and I was kept informed of all developments throughout her stay. I would not hesitate to recommend it as it was just wonderful.
I came for a week of respite after emergency surgery. All the staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. There was a really happy atmosphere. The owners came to check that everything was ok which I found was a really nice touch. I feel so much better after my week's stay and would fully recommend this care home.
Four weeks spent in Hollymead House with the intention of building up strength before the return to usual routine and chemotherapy modules. The lovely firm mattress is sorely missed as it really helped with support and posture. I could have benefited from more focused exercises but did some exercises from my "sink" exercise sheet. The wonderful staff and management work closely together to ensure an integrated experience for residents.
I have been very pleased with my fathers care; they are very caring and attentive. The home is very clean, and provides good food and appears very organised.
We put my 92-year-old mum in the care of Hollymead staff and soon realised we had found a real gem. As a one-owner-one-home care home, there is a real focus from the owners in doing the best they can, and treating everyone equally well for as reasonable as they could. Above all, the home is full of love. Not one staff member hasn't got a heart of gold. So many angels gathered in one place. Mum needed a lot of care as she had lost the use of her legs. Nothing was too much trouble; she was soon given any aid she needed and anything to keep her comfortable. With regular entertainment, bingo and Christmas parties, we could not have found a better place!
My mother has lived at Hollymead for over two years now. I can rest assured that she is happy and all her needs are met by friendly and professional staff members. All her care is personalised to her. Every time I visit my mother, she is happy and I am welcomed. She is like one of the family. The home has varied entertainment from singers to playing games, barbeques in the summer and Christmas parties. I am kept informed by the manager on every change that affects my mother. I receive newsletters and updates by email. The door is always open for visitors.
This is a fantastic care home. All the staff are extremely competent/friendly and very patient with my grandmother. She has a lovely, clean room and is well looked after. Bingo and quizzes, craft activities are laid on for the residents, and before the lockdown, singers or musician visits to entertain them. But personally, I loved the barbeque they hold in the summer when all the family can join together. Hollymead House has given me peace of mind, and I know she is in safe hands.
The manager and staff at Hollymead House care home are a fantastic team, always at the top of their game in every respect. Since my dear mum joined in October 2020, they have made her feel so at home and look after her so very well. Even when they had an outbreak of Covid-19, they kept everyone safe and kept me updated on the whole situation at all times. My mum is happy and content with their care, always singing the staffs praises, as I do myself. I am very pleased with the whole team there.
Contact home following a recommendation. We were treated professionally and with kindness. The manager visited us on her day off and was/is very helpful. We have always been contacted with any illness problems including hospitalisations. We, as a family, feel very confident to have our mum residing at Hollymead, that they will always do their best for her and us.
My mum was a resident at Hollymead House for 4 years and she truly felt at home. All the staff were always so caring and nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent and I even had Sunday lunch at the home on my Mum's birthday. It couldn't have been better and included wine. There was regular entertainment, including singers, bands and theatre groups. A wonderful lady came tin to offer arts and crafts groups and residents made things for the Christmas Fayre. I would highly recommend Hollymead House.
After a decline in my mother's health, she had to go into full-time care. I chose Hollymead, she went straight there from hospital. The staff welcomed her, showed her to her room and made her feel at home. The care she has received there is excellent. The staff meet all her needs with compassion, dignity and kindness. I would recommend Hollymead to family and friends, my mother has settled in well there and is very happy and content thanks to the lovely staff that look after her.
I found the staff to be most caring in his final days with palliative are on hand.
First class care home.
Brilliant level of personalised care - couldn't fault it. Interesting and stimulating activities offered every day, ensured mental well being. An opportunity to take part in a weekly church service held in the home looked after my mother's spiritual well being as well.
Every single member of staff whatever their role was warm, friendly and caring.A credit to themselves and the management of the home. I was recommended to look at Hollymead, I now do the same.
I am very happy with Hollymead House. They always make my husband feel so welcome. The staff are very friendly, kind and caring. I know I could talk to the staff if I have any concerns.
