My mother has been at 'Hollymead' for just over 3 months. The care she has received from all those working there has been, and continues to be, excellent. Staff are positive, helpful, uplifting and always full of fun. Managers react promptly to health issues. The quality of food is excellent too. Staff are always most welcoming and I am frequently offered tea/cake etc. All the other residents appear to be very happy and content with life there.
Excellent standards of care.
My mother was a resident at Hollymead from April 2017 until her death in January 2018. She was in the most caring, special environment. The staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. The celebrations of special occasions ie Christmas are done with panache. I would recommend Hollymead to anyone. I can't thank them enough.
I am an advocate for a resident at Hollymead House who has dementia. Although she understands a certain amount she can not voice her views verbally but has the ability to show if she is upset by something. I visited the home everyday sometimes more than once at different times of the day and evening. I can honestly say that I would not fault a single member of staff for their care, courtesy and respect for all the residents even though at times their patience must be tried! Good activities provide a lovely homely atmosphere every time you enter the home. The food is good.
The whole family was treated like friends right from Day One.
A very friendly, clean, bright and cheerful place to live.
Absolutely wonderful.
All staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble.
All in all, you won't find a better home for care.
During some three years residence at Hollymead House my Aunt enjoyed first-class care in a welcoming, family-style environment. The Owner, Manager and Staff were unfailing in their professional yet friendly and patient attention to her needs and wishes. Celebrations of her 100th, 101st and 102nd birthdays were arranged at the Home's initiative, typifying the care and affection shown to residents. Thank you all.
My mother-in-law has been very comfortable here for nearly two years. She seems well-cared for & has opportunities for various activities. We find the staff friendly and helpful. Overall, it is a great relief to know that she is in safe hands.
My 102-year-old aunt is being well cared for. The staff are so caring towards her with lots of TLC. I have just returned from a birthday lunch put on for her by the staff with all the residents included and family made welcome.
Friendly home providing excellent care and home cooking, as well as activities for residents. Staff are always very helpful and efficient. Residents are allowed to maintain their individual independence, within the bounds of safety. Highly recommended.
Everyone has been very supportive to Mum and to us, her family.
My mother is very happy at Hollymead House and I feel confident that the care she is given is professional. She enjoys daytime activities especially the lady who helps them with crafts and needlework. Since she has lived at Hollymead House, I have moved away but I feel happy with the way she is looked after and she is always well and happy when I visit. She enjoys most of the food - occasionally she hasn't but there is generally a reason for this - new cook, cooker problem etc.
Her health is carefully monitored and relatives are quickly contacted if there are any problems. I have had one such call and the staff dealt with the problem in a professional but caring manner. I have found all the staff to be friendly, helpful and very thoughtful towards my mother.
I am very pleased with the treatment she receives and I'm confident that as the years go on, she will receive more help if it is required.
The staff without exception are friendly, polite and always welcoming whatever time of the day you visit. My friend has been in Hollymead House for about 10 weeks and is always well groomed, neat and tidy. The food he tells me is superb, always piping hot when it should be and nice and cool when the food is salads etc. My friend speaks very highly of the treatment and staff and wishes that he had gone there earlier instead of struggling at home.
The room is very spacious, light and airy with never a hint of smell which is so common in some homes.
The room is spotless and well maintained.
There is various forms of entertainment that can be enjoyed.
