My mother loves life at Villa Adastra! She is very fond of the staff, who are kind, caring, patient and professional. She enjoys taking part in a wide variety of activities such as supervised cake mixing and decorating (later eaten by residents), singing together, seated games, Easter egg hunts in the
garden, visits from a therapy dog, lambs and ponies, and trips out locally. The standard of care is very high and I would highly recommend Villa Adastra.

My dad has been at the Villa Adastra for about eight years now and loves it there. He has recently broken his hip and has gone from being very independent to bedbound and completely dependent on the staff for all his needs. They have been so incredibly wonderful with him throughout these years, I cannot
fault them in any way. He has very little quality of life now but they always do their best to make his remaining time happy. All the staff are kind and caring and treat all the residents with such respect. There are so many amazing and fun activities if residents care to join in, the house is very bright and cheerful, lovely gardens, inviting dining room and food is excellent. I cannot recommend this place enough.

What an incredible place Villa Adastra is! It was my mother’s home for 4 1/2 years before she passed away in December. The staff are caring and professional and it was such a comfort that she was being so well looked after, especially during Covid when visits were limited. The facilities are good and
staff are always looking for ways to improve. Although my Mum didn’t always take part in the activities, there were always exciting things going on and she was able to join in or just watch if she preferred. The food is excellent and the staff knew Mum so well; towards the end of her life when her appetite declined, they knew what to offer her to keep her eating.
I would highly recommend Villa Adastra!

My mum has been a resident of Villa Adastra for just over a year. She is 91 and has dementia, (as do most of the residents I believe)
The staff have been so kind helpful and understanding, and Mum has settled in really well.
They have a busy social programme with lots of fun activities and entertainment.
The garden is also lovely and mum enjoys being out there every day.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Villa Adastra to anyone looking for safe, caring care for their loved one.

My mother was a resident at Villa Adastra for more than 4 years, including 18 months during the coronavirus pandemic and I cannot fault the exceptionally high standard of care that she received throughout her time in the home. I never had any concerns for her well-being and would highly recommend this
home to anyone.

I would totally recommend Villa Adastra. My mother has been there a year and has dementia and my father-in-law was there for daycare and then about a month residential last year, again with dementia. It's a wonderful home and I can do nothing but praise them for the way in which they care for their
residents. It's a lovely facility inside with a beautiful garden, good level of activities, lovely rooms and the food is brilliant. The staff are so very caring and it has a wonderful family feel to the place. Its also lovely for visitors too.

Moving into any care home is very stressful for all the family and particularly the service user, however, I would like to say how impressed I have been with the care and understanding shown by the staff at Villa Adastra in helping my mother make this transition. They have made her feel valued as an
individual, she feels part of the home and has gained greater autonomy since moving in - in fact her health and fitness has improved.

Whenever we visit Villa Adastra there is always activities and exciting things going on. My Nan is very relaxed here and very well cared for by happy and friendly staff who clearly enjoy their jobs and take a real interest in the residents needs and personalities. It is a very welcoming and inclusive
setting and so different to any other care home I have visited.

We have known Villa Adastra for 6 years. The hospital recommended their daycare centre to aid rehabilitation following a stroke. Mum attended 1 or 2 days a week for 4 years and when the time came for full-time care in late 2016 there was no question that Villa Adastra would be her home. The house is
spacious, light and secure with a lovely lounge, a communal dining room, a cinema room, a tearoom and a tuck shop. Mum's en-suite room is bright and warm. In the summer the residents can enjoy the patio, landscaped garden, greenhouse and raised beds where they grow veg and salad. The facilities are excellent but more importantly, the house is full of fun and love. The staff are brilliant, patient and caring; they treat residents with great kindness and respect their individuality. Every effort is made to provide daily activities which engage and entertain the residents - and visiting family members. I know that Mum is safe, well cared for and that the staff will keep me well informed.

Excellent home, the staff are so caring. The care manager takes time to listen to any worries you have. Everyone is so friendly. Lots of snacks and drinks and food. Sunday roast is great. Really happy with the home and mum is doing so much more and is enjoying life.
Go see for yourself it's really
worth the visit.
Looking forward to my time there as they show that older age is not the end but is still full of fun.

Having visited 5 care homes in the area, our enthusiasm was somewhat waning, then we visited Villa Adastra. What a blessing that was. We were welcomed with open arms into a lovely, welcoming home. Large, airy building with spacious rooms, bright with large windows, a lovely lounge looking out to a beautiful
garden with a vegetable plot and raised flower beds so any residents in wheelchairs can touch and smell the flowers.
All the rooms have an ensuite and are of a good size (the best we had seen).
Our 92-year-old mum has settled in extremely well and joins in all the very well organised activities and even enjoys having a dance with her walking frame!
All the staff are very friendly and could not treat the residents any better, caring, supportive and so lovely.
You will be hard pressed to find better.

My mum moved into Villa Adastra in March 2016 having been in hospital for 3 months. A lot of care was taken in settling her in and we, her family, were also treated with warmth. This made a difficult transition for us much easier. My dad visits every day and is welcomed wholly by the staff. My mum is
happy, settled, nurtured and I would say loved by the staff. She is able to practice her faith which is very important to her (but this is not forced on those living there). I am very happy with Villa Adastra and highly recommend it for those with Dementia/Alzheimer's.

From first walking in to Villa Adastra and initially meeting members of management and the care team I was comforted in the way they talked and explained things to me. My mother has been there over a month now and seems to go from strength to strength. All the team leaders and carers seem to have a
genuine concern for the residents and this seems more than evident. All I can say is "Thank God"" that we found this truly amazing home.

I was very hesitant about visiting my aunt as I have experience of a number of care homes, which I know would never have suited her. I left Villa Adastra content my aunt would be treated with respect, love and care that an affectionate 99 year old deserves.
The surroundings are superb but most importantly
the staff were wonderful. Everyone was treated as an individual and appeared valued.
Nothing was too much trouble, I cannot thank everyone enough.

Villa Adastra is a light, bright home with lovely well kept gardens both at the front and back (not depressing like some homes we visited). The staff are all really friendly and helpful. They all know the residents by their first name and treats them with dignity and cheerfulness. My mother is quite
a fussy eater but enjoys all the food. She has alzheimer's and gets lost easily- having trouble finding her room, so they asked her to choose a colour for her door. She now has a bright green door which makes it easier to find!!
