Dove Court

My Uncle has only just moved into the home, he has settled in well. l feel this is due to the staff, they have been so kind and supportive with him giving him time to adjust to his new environment, understanding that moving into a care home can be difficult.

Our mum, Janet, has called Dove Court her home for the last 4 years. Our dad made the difficult decision due to her dementia as he could not cope with her at home they are both in their 90's. Dove Court is close to my Dad so he could visit Mum, the staff always made him welcome and would invite him at Christmas to join in the activities. Nicole, the manager, would phone my sister regularly. Staff were with her and we know well looked after. Big thank you from us all.

Mum loves going to Dove Court for respite.The staff are always loving, caring and supportive with her. The manager of Dove Court also gives mum all the support she needs. Also gives me a lot of support too and help with lots of advice for me to care for my mum at home. Mum has always said if she has to go into a care home she will only go here. We love everything about Dove Court. Management, staff, rooms, entertainment, food and drink. Thank you everyone.

My 89-year-old mother has been living at Dove Court for five years and is thoroughly enjoying her stay. The home is bright and cheerful and there are social activities to engage with residents and have fun. The staff are friendly, helpful, and professional. My mother's carers are kind and compassionate and take care of her everyday needs; she has a choice of delicious drinks and meals throughout the day. My mother has a lovely comfortable room with sunlight beaming through her window; it is beautifully decorated and is peaceful. My mother is safe and secure, and I am very happy with the service provided.

Mum has been in Dove Court for a few years now, first arriving during Covid. From the start, and in difficult circumstances, the care home staff have shown great care and compassion to both Mum and us, her family. The staff engage well with her despite her dementia and associated communication difficulties. Mum is well fed, and her health is well-cared for. Clear effort is made to include her in the communal activities arranged for the residents. Overall, Dove Court provides a very positive experience for us all.

Very caring staff, a very skilled and caring manager. My Mother has been in now for almost 2 years, and the day she went in, Dove Court immediately accommodated her when it was quite an emergency at the time. She is well looked after and all of the staff I have met are a credit to the home and the manager who also works tirelessly.

Wonderful team at Dover court, I have always felt that my grandmother has been well looked after and I've always been kept up to date with information. So grateful to the wonderful staff there. Thank you

The best thing I have done in my life - went in using a wheelchair and came out with no walking aids. Eating disorder no problem - menus changed just for me! The staff are wonderful all had great sense of humour which you need while getting better and better. I did thanks to everyone at Dove Court.

My brother has been at Dove Court for several years now, but to my shame, I have only now come to write a review. From his first day at Dove Court, the Manager and all staff, have always taken time to get to know his every need; and notice the smallest of changes in his demeanour, They react to these changes with immediacy, patience, kindness and understanding. They treat him with dignity and have a great rapport with him, using humour appropriately that he loves and responds well to. Communication is excellent and staff inform me immediately of any changes to his personal needs or anything that he requires. The home is clean and well furnished and I have always received a warm and hospitable welcome on my arrival, having travelled a long distance. He really enjoys the food and always tells me that he's very happy. He wouldn't want to be anywhere else. There is no greater recommendation than that! I have always felt very happy that he is well cared for - just like a family member.

I found Dove Court to be extremely warm and welcoming for my mother from day one. The staff are very warm and friendly, and the manager is always available for both feedback and support. My mother was taken and looked after there, the day after my father (her carer) was taken to hospital after suffering a stroke, and she was content and happy from the first day, looked after and cared for very well, and my mind was put at rest while dealing with my father's incident.

My mother is always clean and presentable having previously been concerned over personal hygiene, this was really important to me. Her room is basic but generally clean and affords her basic needs. the staff are always visible and available. Very pleasant and polite. My mother seems settled and happy and the staff engaged with her which is important.

My father is a resident, he has been in a few homes and Dove Court is by far the best he has been looked after.

The staff are always friendly and courteous. Any problems are resolved quickly. Mum has thrived since she has been here.

The staff are very pleasant and helpful. My mother is happy living at Dove Court which gives me peace of mind. We find the staff are quit patient (which they need to be with my mother).

My mum has only recently come to stay so it's early days for us but so far we are very pleased with the care she has been shown by all the staff and they way she has been treated with dignity.

The staff are very polite and kind. Always make me very welcome, treat mum-in-law with respect and kindness. The home is always very clean. mum-in-law is always in clean clothes and always dressed for bed when I visit in the evenings. Most days some entertainment and when well enough mum-in-law loves trips to the cinema and coffee and cake. The food is a high standard, I often get offered treats such as home made cakes when I visit.

My mum has been staying in Dove Court for five months and has received the most wonderful care. The manager and her team are all so warm and caring and also welcoming, going out of their way to make me feel at home as well. The staff establish a lovely rapport with the residents, sharing a few laughs and creating a real family atmosphere.

Dove Court is a very friendly home. The staff are very helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them to do anything. The food is excellent, good variety. My aunt loves being in the home. The activities are excellent.

Mum has been well taken care of when kept occupied as she has been no problem at all. I would highly praise all staff for the wonderful job they do.

I had concerns about Mum going into a care home as the family had cared for her over many years. I am always reassured by the kindness and care given at Dove Court. She is treated as an individual and shown respect.
