My dad, David, came to Keneydon House for 2 weeks respite in June. We were nervous as this is the first respite stay he has had, but Keneydon House were amazing. They treated both my mum and David, with such care and kindness. Mum was reassured by the manager, Teri, when we dropped David off and listened to all his likes and dislikes, and even sent online messages in the first few days to show him settling in (a very welcome action). All of the staff have been very welcoming to us and David and cared for him exceptionally. Aswell as a respite for mum, it was like a holiday for David ... haircut, chiropodists and best of all the social interaction with the residents and staff. The staff in the home show kindness, respect and calmness to all residents and each other ... you couldn't ask for more. I have worked in Care Homes and Keneydon is the best I have ever visited. It is homely and full of exceptional care. Well done and a huge thank you to everyone there. We will be back xx

My Mum was admitted to to Keneydon House by Social Services on Christmas Eve 2025 with start of dementia and unfortunately passed away in the care home less than 3 months later and didn't get to spend any time in their beautiful garden.
The management and staff are wonderful, know the names and personalities of all the residents and genuinely care for them. On Christmas morning they had a Santa distributing gifts, they involve the residents with arts/crafts, baking, movie night's. They even painted Mum's finger nails for her which she loved. All food is prepared and cooked fresh.
More importantly for my husband and I, the staff were always available for us to dicuss what was happening with Mum as she declined over the three months she was with them. Doctors never had time and social services don't know about this. Good, professional, caring, home management and staff were invaluable to us as a support structure.

I have no hesitation in recommending Keneydon House.

I can't praise the staff enough at Keneydon House. So friendly & kind. My dad, suffering from Dementia & Alzheimer's went in for a weeks respite care, a shell of his former self. I am astounded how with their experience & caring nature he settled in so well, chatting, engaging, joining in the activities. It gave him a new lease of life. This home has a heart & soul, so important for our loved ones & peace of mind for the family too.

Mum moved to Keneydon House last April and although this was an anxious time for all concerned, we are pleased to say that the experience has been very positive!
Whenever we visit Mum, the staff are friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble and a hot drink is always offered. Mum is well cared for and always says 'how nice her room is, how amazing the staff are, that the food is fantastic and there is plenty of it!'
The Team are very professional, caring and compassionate. They always give us feedback on how Mum is, ensure Mum takes her medication correctly and let us know if they have any concerns.
The home is always clean, fresh and the residents seem very happy! Not an easy job and 5 Stars to the Management and Staff!

We would highly recommend Keneydon House and the care provided!

Pleasant visit to see mum. All the staff were very attentive to the residents and also us visitors. The property was clean and tidy, as were the facilities. My mother appeared happy and content and even joked with the staff. I had to speak to a member of staff and she was very helpful and open in relation to the care my mother has been receiving.

Amazing staff Terri and the team are wonderful. It's like home from home for my mother-in-law. Nothing is too much trouble food great and they care. Hairdresser chiropodist and nail technician goes in on a regular basis. Never have to worry about toiletries etc it's all looked after by the team. The cook and also the lady that does all the laundry are brilliant. Mum always looks so clean and bedding changed regular. We are invited for lunch and always offered a hot drink when we visit. Terri keeps me up to date with everything regarding her health.
Cannot thank all the team enough cannot even explain how happy we are. We are so lucky to have her here thank you keneydon house.

It has been such a comfort to me seeing my Dad so settled and well cared for. The staff are fantastic, so patient and caring with all the residents. I am welcome at any time, and always find my Dad's needs are fully met. The quality of meals is outstanding! No matter how busy the staff are they will always make time for any queries. I am incredibly grateful for the exceptional care and support given by Keneydon House. The staff are highly and professionally compassionate, treating each resident with respect and dignity. My wife thrived there, she made new friends and enjoyed a quality of life we hoped for, she often said that she liked it there, and it was happy and peaceful. Communication with the staff was very pleasant, and were always available to answer any concerns. I must also mention, the managerial team, who also treated me with care and compassion, and I will be forever grateful to them. I would recommend Keneydon House to anyone looking for a safe and supportive home.

I can only visit my sister every 4-6 weeks but I find management are very good and staff seem friendly too.
I have been concerned about items going missing in the past.

I do think also that a female should help my sister to wash and dress rather than a male but I guess that is necessary.

I feel it very necessary to address issues regarding the staff at Keneydon House. Two staff members have been extremely rude to me personally. Generally it has become obvious that the majority of staff (not all) their hate their jobs. I also believe that foreign workers are treated poorly. This is very worrying to me as both of my parents are residents. I am also aware that some residents are left for hours with no stimulation or interaction. There has been incidents where I have visited and my parents are wearing filthy clothes. I arrived on Christmas morning, my parents room smelled horrific, the commode was full to the brim and had obviously not been emptied recently. The smell was of ammonia was so strong I couldn't tolerate it for more than a few minutes. I actually dread visiting the home and am extremely anxious every time I do. This is completely unacceptable to me but when I've questioned particularly things I've always been given a brush off answers.

I would like to thank all the care staff for looking after my uncle so well whilst he stayed at Keneydon House. He was in for 2 weeks respite to get him back on track with his nutritional intake and taking his medication correctly. Everyone was extremely kind and understanding of my uncle’s memory problems as he has vascular dementia. I had regular updates on his well-being during his stay and nothing was too much trouble to meet his needs. Keneydon House would be the first place I would contact if my uncle needed respite again, knowing he would be safe and well cared for.

I have known this care home for some years. One of my parents was a resident some years ago. From my experience of visiting Keneydon House, I have certainly seen many positive changes. Since the current manager took over changes are now being implemented in a very positive way. The staff seem very happy in their work and interacting with the residents in a way that is improving the outlook for all.
