My daughter has been at Davids Close a long time and is being well looked after. The carers are very caring towards the residents, and management does their very best to help everyone with the things they need to help them. I feel confident that my daughter is well looked after at Davids Close.

Our daughter has received residential care at David's Close over the past 12 years. During this time we have been delighted with her progress, care, protection and well-being. Our daughter has complex needs including occasional behavioural issues, which are managed correctly under the guidance of her
psychiatrist. The staff are appropriately trained, welcoming, supportive and respectful. We are always included or kept informed regarding changes and decision-making. We thoroughly recommend this care provision...

My daughter has lived at David's Close for over two years and in that time has received excellent care. her dementia is sadly progressing but the staff ensure she has as much fun as possible. She loves singing and she has several musical activities. I have enjoyed time in the garden with her and am
always made to feel very welcome when I visit. I couldn't ask for a better place for her to live. Thank you.

I am always made very welcome. It is a lovely place with lovely staff. My niece is always well cared for and seems very happy whenever I visit. I would always recommend this place to anyone. Lovely place.

Our whole family are impressed and so appreciative of the wonderful care our sister is receiving in this care home. The level of expertise from management and all the staff is commendable. In the 18 months since our darling sister moved in here, we have seen her physical health improve 100% all due
to the levelling attention and stimulation from all the staff, her emotional and cognitive well-being has clearly improved enormously. We are so grateful that our sister has such a safe and loving forever home. The interactions and updates provided to all our family and close friends are open, clear and respectful. Thank you!

Me and my wife are very pleased with the way that our daughter is cared for the staff are wonderful. Management is very good, the staff takes our daughter for walks, swimming, and ten-pin bowling.
We are very happy with the care and support.

My friend requires a lot of care. When I visit her she is always smartly dressed, her nails trimmed and her hair neat. She is fed a healthy diet with an occasional treat and she enjoys her food. Her room is always clean and tidy. Despite her disabilities, she takes part in many activities. This is a
wonderful home, with very caring staff. I am very grateful she lives here, and cannot thank them enough.

We have been very happy with the care received while my sister has been a resident at Alan Aitchison Care Home. Her room is always clean and warm in the winter. Her appearance is always good, she is always clean and well-dressed. The staff are welcoming and always have time for a chat. But even more

I visited before Christmas. With the covid rules, they have lots of new rules. We sat in a disused bedroom with boxes of covid tests and people kept entering to get supplies. Mask wearing made it very hard to talk. I am sure things will get better. Hopefully, we can sit outside next time.

We have a room where visits can be facilitated which is also our testing room when visitors are not in the home. My son is at the home permanently due to covid-19. We get regular updates, including photos by email of how he is and the activities he is doing. He is also brought to the phone to chat. My son is happy and contented; he enjoys living there and gets on well with the other residents, and the excellent

Overall, David's Close provides good service to its clients. There seems to be a lot of medication, which we would like to know more about. This is a downside of info from David's Close.
In general, the food and the staff meet all that is required of a good provider.

Residents all have their own Doctor and where required a consultant, who will visit on a regular basis, health needs are closely monitored and reviewed by health professionals. When necessary medication is prescribed to meet the needs of the individual resident and strict protocols are in place.

Very happy with standard of home and the staff. Home has a lovely family feel and is a safe environment. My son enjoys his time there and is always happy to return there after the weekend. He also enjoyed his holiday - thanks to the staff who took him.

My uncle has complex needs and the staff are able to meet them professionally and with much care. My uncle has been at Davids Close for nearly 3 years and I have been able to relax in the knowledge that he is safe, well cared for, I know the staff go that extra mile for him. He is vulnerable and so
it is important that his family are 100% confident about his care and we are. My uncle spends a lot of time asleep so when I visit on a weekly basis, I have really got to know the staff and feel happy that he is in the correct environment.


The staff ensure he has the best quality of life he can, considering his complex needs. For example, visiting his old workplace to see his friends, going to day centres where he needs much support, but still going even if he is asleep in his wheelchair in case he wakes and can enjoy some of the visit.


A lot of thought goes into the lives of each resident, to ensure they enjoy life as much as they can and they are not just left around the house.
