The Moorings team understand that making a decision for your loved one is a difficult task especially when Residential Care sometimes receives adverse publicity. The Moorings is owned and managed by a local family who live in South Norfolk. They pride themselves on always looking to improve the service they offer and making sure the Resident comes first in whatever they do. The family is involved on a daily basis with each home supporting the Managers to ensure an ‘excellent’ service is maintained to all Residents.

The Moorings is situated overlooking the beautiful Waveney valley surrounded by beautiful gardens close to the market town of Bungay and is a home for elderly people with dementia.

Cygnet Care are proud of the homes they offer, careful to make sure they feel like a home rather than a hotel, using good quality furnishings and making sure they are well maintained inside and out.

Danielle, the long standing manager, is supported by a well trained team of staff who proudly deliver person centred care, daily activities, and lovely traditional home cooked food.

The staff are very caring and professional at all times. My mother was made to feel very welcome from the start. As she approached the end of her life, she was treated with dignity and compassion by everyone.
Consequently, she decided to remain at 'Moorings' rather than go to hospital. A great place
for the many visitors she had to visit also - they were very impressed!

I was extremely lucky that The Moorings was able to look after my mother with care, compassion, love and dignity. They provided a safe and loving environment for the last 2 years of her life. In all the time she was there I did not have any cause for concern. A big thank you to the wonderful staff.

Sadly my mum only spent a few weeks at The Moorings before she died. I cannot fault the care and compassion shown both to Mum and to me. Every member of staff was the true definition of a "carer".

I have visited here many times in the past couple of years. I have always found the staff to be very polite, considerate and caring to both residents and visitors. The accommodation is always clean and very well decorated and maintained. Food seems to be very adequate and all residents I come into contact

My mother has been living at The Moorings, Earsham for six months. She seems to have settled very well and says that she is happy. She has nothing but praise for the staff. She is enjoying her food and replacing the weight she lost while at home. It is a huge relief to myself and my two brothers that

My mother has been in The Moorings for just over two years and in all that time has had very comprehensive care from all the staff, with a few of them forming particularly close relationships. The building itself has been undergoing a major refurbishment and extension to the facilities which has made
the work load difficult and stressful for staff, but they have never wavered in their dedication to their charges.

My Mum has been at The Moorings for nearly three years. The first year was very difficult but the staff and management were amazing and worked very hard and compassionately to help us all through a bad time. The home has recently been extended and refurbished and is a lovely place for our Mum to live.
I cannot praise the staff enough, especially as Mum considers it to be her home most of the time, with "very nice people" there.

Mum has been happily living at The moorings for over 7 years, consequently that makes me very happy. There's a really friendly family atmosphere there which is lovely for the residents and family alike!! The recent extension to The Moorings is really well thought out and with beautiful furnishings etc.
They've thought of everything. The staff are extremely kind, thoughtful, and respectful of each individuals needs.They are a very good team.
