Redlands House Residential Care Home is ideally situated close to local amenities in Hellesdon. There is a variety of shops just across the road at the Dixon shopping centre and a pub 200 yards away - all just 3 miles from the centre of Norwich.

Redlands House has undergone expansion and refurbishment to provide a new wing including rooms with ensuite shower facilities, and a new lounge and conservatory. The new rooms are light and spacious, with specially designed colour and furnishing schemes.

Redlands House provides a homely and welcoming service, treating people as individuals and encouraging personalisation of rooms and maintenance of outside connections and activities. Alongside this, the home offers high-quality support to maintain independence for those needing residential and dementia care, in a home from home environment.

The home provides a full programme of activities with dedicated staff to offer something for everyone and encourage a lively and stimulating environment, or quiet contemplation if that suits the resident better.

Long and short term residents and respite care welcome and the home have recently installed a new lift and remodelled the sun lounge and garden spaces. Pets are accepted by arrangement.

Mum is well cared for and treated with dignity. She enjoys her food. The staff are friendly and kind.
This month she has been taken out on several visits and lots of interesting visitors have come to enrich the lives of the residents.
The changes seem to be due to a new manager in the home. Mum now
has much more to tell us when we visit.

Our dad came to Redlands after being in the hospital and we are both so pleased and grateful for the care he has received in such a homely environment. Staff members have kept us up to date with any matters. We cannot thank the staff at Redlands enough for their care and support.

Visited Redlands House for the first time, to see my sister-in-law who's here on respite. She appeared very happy and settled very well. The management team are excellent, staff are great. Rooms are excellent, clean. Environment is really good and would love my sister-in-law to live here permanently.
I cannot fault the home as everything looks perfect.

My aunt came to Redlands House in a NHS planning bed in February 2023. I came to visit and was greeted by lovely, friendly staff. The home has such a lovely, warm feel. In May, my aunt decided to become a permanent resident. It feels like home and all members of staff go the extra mile; they chat, some
will give a hug, and all residents are treated with empathy and kindness. What more is there to say but thank you Redlands.

Sadly my mum died in Redlands recently. However, the care she got was next to none. Her face lit up every time a carer went into her room and spoke to her. Sorry but I am unable to comment on higher food/drink or activities. If I had to go to a home tomorrow - Redlands it would be.

We have nothing but praise for the wonderful care my mum received at Redlands, the staff went out of their way to ensure mum was looked after. The understanding and compassion were second to none. The food was excellent as was the room mum was in, nothing was too much trouble, they all came together
as a team, mum was happy in the six months she was there. The entertainment and decorations celebrating special times were also well thought out and arranged.


We were kept updated on any changes in mums health and her wishes were adhered to. All in all the staff were extremely pleasant, caring and thoughtful and could not do enough for mum or us as a family and would recommend anyone considering this nursing home.

I find Redlands House very good nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff, staff are very polite and always ready to tell how the resident is getting on. Her room is very comfortable and clean and cleaned daily.

Mum appears happy in this home and gets involved in all the activities. Covid-19 has not been easy for my siblings and me, as unable to see Mum as often as we would like.
This home appears to deal with the issue, putting the residents first. I haven't had much experience with homes, but from listening
to the media regarding care homes in other parts of the country, Redlands seem to be doing a good job.

My mother in law has just completed an extended respite stay at Redlands House.
The staff were brilliant, very supportive of her care needs and quirky personality. She has thoroughly enjoyed her time there and gave us the peace of mind that she was in safe hands until we could secure her new abode.

It was great to finally be able to meet my mum in person after not seeing her since February due to this pandemic. The visit was very well organised and mum was fully aware that we couldn't make physical contact but the meeting was 100% safe and the carer that needed to be present was very helpful.

I have put March as that was the last time I was allowed to visit, but it goes for all the time, I find all the staff very friendly and very helpful. My husband seems quite happy and content which makes me feel happier and not quite so guilty that I can't manage to look after him at home by myself.
They always welcome me whatever time I visit. I would recommend them to anyone 100%.

My wife spent the last few months of her life being cared for within Redlands House. In the last few weeks, her symptoms of Alzheimer's rapidly deteriorated. The care and compassion by all staff at Redlands was exemplary and thanks to their diligence and care our children were able to say their last
goodbyes to their Mum and I was able to spend our last few hours together. I cannot thank all of the staff at Redlands enough for the care, compassion and understanding of these last few months.

Since my mother became a resident in August 2019, the accommodation upgrade has steadily progressed. The staff are well trained and supported by senior staff. Everyone is knowledgeable, caring, considerate and respectful. Mother has a variety of social activities offered to her daily. She enjoys the
meals.
I am very happy that mother is accommodated at Redlands House where she is safe, secure and she is contented. Many thanks to all the staff.

I was recommended to Redlands House by a friend as my husband and I were looking for some respite care over Christmas for my mother in law who is in the early stages of dementia. We were very worried at how my mother in law would cope staying away from home but the manager and staff at Redlands were
so welcoming, kind and caring that she ended up enjoying her 2-week stay which made it so much easier for all of the family, knowing she was happy and well cared for. The room we were allocated was spacious and modern and every effort was made to make her feel "at home". We would definitely recommend this care home to anyone as it is clean, modern, bright and welcoming and the staff are all dedicated to the care and welfare of their residents. Thank you again to all the staff at Redlands.
