This care home isn't just a clinical care home full of people doing a job, it is a home from home for the residents who have genuine caring professional people there who look after the residents as if they were their own family. You can see the bond between staff and residents that makes you feel at ease that they are getting the best help possible.

They go so far beyond what would be expected of just a care home and the place has a warm vibe, they have regular activities and entertainment for the residents and if they don't want to take part, the staff always try to find something more to their liking. They take the time and effort to get to know the family and the resident and build a relationship with them, you cannot ask or expect more than you get from the staff here.

Our mum moved into Chrissians in Dec 2019. Our mum had dementia and needed 24-hour care. Our mum would have at least one of my 2 brothers, sister or myself visit her every day. We would call at variant times of the day and we were all made very welcome by the staff, nothing was ever too much trouble irrespective of the time of day or how busy they were. All was well with her stay, the dementia probably progressed a little over the next few months but my mother was very happy and we were all very content with her care. Unfortunately in March 2020 after coronavirus hit the UK all care home residents across the UK had to be shielded. My mother with her dementia and at an age of 91 fell seriously ill in early April. The care home were brilliant (with lots of precautions) we were given complete access until our mum passed away. A massive thank you to all the genuinely loving, caring staff from all of my family. You will not find a better care home.

The manager and all the staff are absolutely wonderful with their care and understanding of residents with dementia. Relatives are welcomed with open arms and communication is excellent no matter how small the matter is. The food is really good with menu varieties.

I have been living at Chrissian for several years. I honestly can not express how lovely it is. It's very homely, the staff and management- Everyone are so friendly and happy. The care I receive is - well perfect. The last few years have been so joyful, there isn't a day since I have lived here that I have not laughed even on the days when I have been unwell. I loved the recent Xmas party especially when the staff were singing.

The home is excellent, everybody is friendly, staff, managers and other residents. I am very well looked after, the care is always exceptional. The food is fantastic. It is very cosy here, like living in my own house. Lots of activities, I very much enjoy the Elvis singer and the zoo. I have had a lovely Xmas and even got presents from the home. It's really lovely here.

My mother lived at Chrissian from 2009 until her death in March 2017. She had been Matron in charge of nursing/care homes from 1946 until her retirement in the 80s, so had high expectations.
She was not disappointed and loved her life at Chrissian in all respects - particularly her accommodation and the food. She found the staff to be kind, considerate and caring at all times. Staff knew residents well, were sensitive to their needs and treated them with respect.
They encouraged her and supported her in a range of activities and helped her to interact effectively with other residents.
When my mother needed to go to the hospital, the home assessed her situation promptly, accurately and responded appropriately.
As a visitor, I always felt welcome and was offered a hot drink - staff had time to speak to me about my mother - they seemed to genuinely care about the residents.

I am very happy that my mother spent her final years in such a happy and caring home.

Can't say enough about the care of patients at this care home. Real home like atmosphere. The staff treat my mum with the upmost care and attention. They treat her like one of their family. I have the greatest respect for both staff and management.
