I just wanted to say a big thankyou to Danielle and her team for taking care of my Dad during his stay, making him feel happy and settled. It made me feel comforted knowing that he was in safe and caring hands.

The team at Oriel Lodge have cared for mum for a year and she is well settled and in good health as a result of their efforts. Dad visits mum most days and the care team make a big effort to include him and make him feel welcome.

My uncle was in very poor health and had not been well looked after in the past. After moving him to Bath we have been delighted with the care he has received at Oriel Lodge. Over the last year he has put on weight and is looking healthy again. He seems very happy in the home, and we can see that he is being well looked after. He has certain dietary requirements which the lodge takes care of very well.
It's always a pleasant experience visiting him, and the staff are always very friendly and welcoming to us as his family. We are very grateful to everyone at the home for taking such good care of him!

My mother in law has been a resident of Oriel Lodge for the past year and before that her husband had been a resident.
The care that they both had/have is absolutely brilliant.
The communication with us as a family is always punctual and exact. A point is always made when they ring to say that there is nothing to worry about but then go on to give us relevant information about for example a doctors visit and change of medication, letters that have arrived, any requirements for toiletries needed.
The attention to detail in the documentation of her care is excellent. As she has dementia , the understanding and inclusion of her in daily actives is great. We get a monthly news letter of events that are happening that month so that we can go and join in. Fantastic celebrations of relevant events with barbecues, tea parties, bingo, trios out.

This is the second member of my family that has been cared for at Oriel Lodge under the management of Danielle.
The care that my mother gets now is as good as when my father was a resident.

They will contact us if there are any changes in her plan of care however minor it may be.
Always very quick to say at the beginning of a phone call that there is nothing to be worried about before explaining the reason for the call.
The way that they assess my mothers needs and ensure any need for medical assessment that is required is done swiftly.
This has meant that assessing her skin during getting her ready for the day helped save her life.

My wife has been in Oriel Lodge for over 2 years with Dementia. In that time, in spite of the good care she receives, she is steadily declining. It's a managed decline which they are handling with affection and attention. I couldn't wish for more.

The staff are attentive, friendly, and genuinely caring. I've watched my mum settle in with ease and happiness, and I'm reassured by how the team listens, observes, and responds to her needs. We cannot speak highly enough of Oriel Lodge. From the moment my nan moved in, the staff have been incredibly kind, compassionate, and accommodating, always going above and beyond to ensure she feels comfortable, safe, and well cared for. Their genuine warmth and dedication are evident in everything they do, and it provides our family with great reassurance knowing she is in such capable hands.
The level of care and attention she receives is exceptional, and it is wonderful to see how happy and settled she is living there. The staff treat every resident with dignity and respect, creating a welcoming and supportive environment that truly feels like home.
We are extremely grateful for everything the team at Oriel Lodge does, and we would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for outstanding residential care for a loved one.

My Mum was a resident at Oriel Lodge for 8 years. She went in when she could no longer manage living alone with Alzheimers. As a family we were grateful that Mum was well-cared for & comfortable in a small homely Care Home environment.. Over the years we always found the staff cheerful, caring, friendly & helpful, the facilities homely, clean and bright, the food home-cooked, delicious & nutritious. As visitors we were always made welcome whatever time of day we called in. It is a testament to the care of the manager and staff that Mum was never distressed and was settled for such an extended period of time at Oriel Lodge. It was her final home. My Mum passed away in October comfortable and cared for in her own bed looked after by the staff and with her family at her side. I couldn't speak more highly of them if I tried. Thank you Danielle and All the Team at Oriel Lodge for the years of care. Rose

First my Sister seems happy and well cared for. We went to the homes barbecue on Saturday 6-8-22 and we were well looked after and all the clients seemed to enjoy the day and had smiles on their faces plus some of the staff gave up some of their own time to help out. Well done all the staff
