The building is always clean, smells of flowers and there is always the offer of a cup of tea or coffee for visitors. I strongly recommend the home for any person who needs assistance or even good company.

I can't fault the service they give my sister that keeps me up to date on any decision large or small she has a supportive network around her to help her with her complex needs.
Lovely staff
They support her to ring me every evening to talk to me about anything they don't miss a day.
Highly recommend Wood House.
Thank you for leaving us such a lovely review about the care of your sister. Your kind words will be passed onto the rest of the wonderful team.
My son is very happy with Wood House. The staff get him to help out with things, he also is taken out bowling to Cardiff, he has also been to Gloucester and other places. The staff give him as much help as he needs. I ring him up every evening and on their phone to see how he has got on that day and I take him out most Wednesdays. I highly recommend Wood House.

Thank you for your feedback. We are so pleased that your daughter is happy here at Wood House making you happy too.
Everyone very helpful and informative. My brother's accommodation was well maintained and his carer was attuned to his needs.
He is encouraged to join the other residents and join in as much as possible
From the transition to this care home, I feel the staff have been very caring and compassionate - have made the resident comfortable and done their best in all ways they can. The family are very happy with her care and do all they can to accommodate the resident's needs. The staff are very helpful in relaying the family's messages when it's not possible for me to visit. We couldn't ask for more.
From day one, all of the staff have been kind, caring and knowledgeable. Communication with them as a family member has been five stars! Nothing is too much trouble for them! Me and my mum feel safe and happy!
It would be difficult to find anything negative to say about this care home.
As a family, we are very satisfied.
My contact with members of the staff has been excellent.
Since my sister has been at Wood House we have found it to be excellent in every way for my sister. The care and patience from all the staff are A one in every way. We say thanks to them and Woodhouse as her home.
Very nice people, here on respite and staff supported and catered for all my needs and helped me with anything I needed. Staff have been kind and friendly and very approachable when I need support with anything. Would highly recommend this service.
Very good. All the staff have helped if needed and the manager has been available to help if needed.
All staff work very hard to provide the best experience and meet the specific demands and needs of the service user. This is the best home he has had during 60+ years of being in care. They review and adapt care to respond to changing needs. Communication is good.
Good home, good care.

My Name is Jacqueline and I am the manager of Wood House.
I have worked at Wood House for 21 years now. I have had the opportunity to progress through the roles and then to become the registered manager at Wood House for the past 6 years. Shaw Healthcare have supported me to gain qualifications and training to support me within my role.
My Passion is to ensure we give the best possible life, opportunities and access to the healthcare they deserve. I absolutely love my job and ensuring the Service users we look after receive the person-centred care and support they need and deserve. We are a team and we are one big family.

I’ve worked at Wood House for just over 6 years now.
I’ve always enjoyed working in an admin role, but working here at Wood House has given it an entirely different look.
The residents come in for a chat, not just when they want money. The bonds you make when you give the resident the time make working here feel worth the work, worth the 2 hours travel to work and 2 hours home.
I wouldn’t travel the amount of time I do for this job if Wood House wasn’t worth it.
The support from the manager is next level, no other job I’ve had has had such an understanding manager and one you can feel relaxed around can talk to about any and all problems.
Wood House has a relaxed and fun approach to work-life but is still efficient in getting the job done correctly.

I'm Analyn Miranda, I have been working at Wood House since 2007. I consider Wood House as my second home because it feels like it.
The service users and staff are like family, we share our goals and inspirations for our home and we all work hard for it.
I'm very proud of being part of our team and continuing to serve our service users with our very best to meet their needs and help them to reach their maximum potential as much as possible in all aspects of their lives.

I previously came from 20 years of working in the Mental Health field and decided to switch care sectors.
I am pleased that I found Wood House.
Wood House has taught me so much regarding caring for people with Learning Disabilities.
Jacqueline the manager is always finding ways to improve the team and improve the quality of living for the service users.
My role as a Team Leader stretches my ability to serve the team and service users.I love the home feel that Wood House has.
It is so nice to see that the service users go out to the Pub for a pint and mingle with the general public. Or that they have parties within the home to celebrate birthdays, funerals, national holidays as well as football.
Wood House is a community within itself.
Whenever we have outside resources come to the home, they are all pleasantly surprised as to how welcoming, warm and clean our home is.
It is my privilege to work in such a lovely home.
