Joining Somerset House in August 2025, Hollie is now Registered Home Manager for Somerset House. Starting as a young carer for her family, Hollie developed a deep passion and care for others from a young age. Hollie has been in the care sector since 2005 and qualified as a Learning Disability Nurse in 2013. She has a thirst for knowledge, enjoys personal development and training and has a passion for training and upskilling others. Hollie has a wealth of experience in both Nursing and Residential Care across a wide range of environments, including day care, home care, hospital care, prison liaison nursing and even a nursing secondment in Croatia, teaching and developing their nursing practice. She has a strong commitment to clinical excellence and creating person-centred care in a homely environment to create a meaningful life for those living here. Hollie believes that the key to a meaningful life is keeping the residents at the heart of everything we do.
In her spare time, Hollie loves spending time with her family and pets, travelling or heading off on an adventure, especially when it involves nature and (most importantly) animals! Hollie finds peace in going for a scenic drive or attending music gigs/festivals - soaking up good music and good company!
Giles has owned Somerset House since May 2011. A chartered surveyor by profession, he has been working with care businesses for many years and has owned and run several other small care homes in the past. Like Hollie, the manager, Giles believes that the secret to running a successful care home is to ensure that the well-being of the people who make it their home is always a priority.
