In June 2023, I joined the Court team as Registered Manager, bringing over 21 years of experience in social care across a wide range of specialisms, including Learning Disabilities, Autism, Dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s disease, and physical disabilities.
I hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management and previously managed a care facility that achieved a GOOD CQC rating.
As Registered Manager, I oversee the day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring staff adhere to health and safety standards, complete mandatory training, and comply with CQC regulations. I also work closely with external professionals to tailor our services to the individual needs of our residents.
Being part of the Court team is incredibly rewarding, as we all share a passion for delivering exceptional, person-centred care in a warm and welcoming environment.
I became part of the court team in early 2023, starting as a senior care assistant. Recently, I transitioned into the role of Team Leader, where I not only fulfil my senior care duties but also supervise the senior care staff, ensuring adherence to regulations and maintaining high-quality work practices.
Additionally, I oversee medication compliance and audits within the facility, along with various other responsibilities.
In 2022, I joined the family business, following my parents’ acquisition of The Court in 2002. In my role, I oversee the facilities team, which encompasses activities, events, housekeeping, the kitchen, and maintenance, ensuring that every area of the home runs smoothly and contributes to a welcoming, comfortable environment for our residents.
Alongside this, I manage all financial operations, including staff salaries, budgeting, and invoicing for residents, maintaining careful oversight to ensure the home operates efficiently and sustainably. I work closely with the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager, supporting them in delivering high-quality care while ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
Being part of the Court team allows me to combine my passion for operational excellence with a commitment to creating a warm and supportive home where residents, staff, and families all feel valued and connected.
I have the incredibly rewarding role of arranging person-centred activities tailored to the needs and preferences of our wonderful residents. I aim to provide social interaction, mental and physical stimulation, engagement, well-being, and a genuine sense of purpose and joy to their daily lives.
In my role, I organise a wide range of meaningful activities to ensure residents lead active, happy, and fulfilling lives. The position requires creativity, organisation, flexibility, proactivity, and strong communication skills to deliver the best experiences for everyone.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is building strong relationships with residents, getting to know their individual likes, interests, and personalities, and creating activities that truly enrich their lives.
