My friend has been at The Court a little under a year, the home has been nothing but wonderful.
The staff are so caring and respectful, not just to the residents but to their friends and families too.
The management team are also wonderful, always available and seen around the home.
Well done
to The Court, highly recommend.

After two years of visiting my mother on a regular basis, I cannot praise the staff enough they are so kind and caring. Residents are treated with dignity and respect. Always something going on for the residents to get evolved in. A very friendly atmosphere, very clean throughout and has a good selection
of menu choices.
Can’t fault the care home on anything.

My mother has been a resident at The Court for just under 2 years. In that time she has been looked after really well. We haven't had to worry about anything. The regular postings on social media provide us with an insight into the range of activities and trips that she is doing. All the staff are great,
they treat her with care and respect, but also make time to talk to us whenever we phone or visit. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. It was a difficult decision to move Mum from her home, but moving her to The Court was the best thing we could have done. I can't recommend it too highly. Thank you, to the manager and everyone at The Court.

My mother has been a resident here for over 7 years. During that time we have been incredibly impressed with the quality of her care and the attitude of management and staff to all residents' well-being. Bottom line is that we could not be happier.

My brother-in-law became a resident at The Court about four years ago and we have never seen him so happy and settled. His dementia means he can't hold a conversation for more than a couple minutes but all the happy smiley pictures we see on social media, more than make up for that. Well done and a
huge thank you to all the staff

The staff at The Court feel more like family than anything else and yet they are professionals carrying out their duties to a high standard. I don’t have to worry about my mother in the sense she is cared for with love and looked after in a homely, fun, and attentive environment.
Leadership at The
Court is caring, friendly, and genuine and this is reflected in the attitudes of the whole team. The Court is a very special home from home.

My husband came to the home for respite care and is now a permanent resident. He is happy here and being very well cared for. The staff are all friendly and welcoming to all residents and visitors, which puts everyone at ease. He was encouraged to join the regular activities and now participates most
days, which is very good for his morale.

An exemplary service has been delivered by the Manager and staff at The Court. My mother has been incredibly well looked after following an acute illness in hospital. Kindness, positivity patience and a “can do” attitude has been shown in abundance by her carers. This has helped her and her family immensely
during a worrying time. Thank you!

My mother has been at the Court since just before Christmas 2022 due to worsening dementia. I have nothing but praise for this residential home, the staff there are wonderful and caring and do everything they can to support the residents. My mum is very happy with the lovely food and is always pleased
to join in with the activities arranged most days, including the occasional trip out with staff. I can certainly recommend The Court.

My Brother-in-Law moved into the Care Home just before Christmas last year. We really thought we were going to lose him as we felt he was going downhill fast. But moving him into the care home was just what he needed. They do so many activities and go out on trips when they can (because of covid). He
is like a new person, with a new lease of life. Looking at the photos, everybody is always smiling and looking so happy. He looks so happy and smiling all the time. They are so well-loved and taken care of. I would love to live there.

When my father arrived at the Court during Covid we had been unable to view prior to his arrival, but I now feel that we could not or would not have chosen a better place.
When my father first arrived he had lost his appetite due to an extended hospital stay but with the care and perseverance of the
staff his appetite and well-being have improved immensely.
Whenever we visit he is clean and well turned out. He had enjoyed many days out and nothing seems to be too much trouble for the staff. During our visits, we look forward to seeing not only Dad, but also the staff who are all friendly and we have grown to know and become fond of. This is a home, not just a care home.
During these challenging times, they have done their best to keep us up to date with regular calls and emails.
We have found the management extremely knowledgeable and helpful, he has helped with paperwork and always pointed us in the right direction whilst we navigated the transition for Dad.

We cannot wish for a better care home with such caring staff to look after our dear Mum; thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
It makes it easier for all the family knowing Mum is safe and looked after, as it’s been such a difficult year for Mum, the other residents and all the families.
But
The Court has keep our Mum and everyone safe and well and continue to do so, until we can all come and visit again soon.

I have recently lost a very dear friend at this wonderful home where she had been for the last two years. In all of this time, she had been looked after with the utmost care and love. On her arrival from a previous home, she appeared very different almost to the point of looking as if she had come from
somewhere that had given up on her. This home gave her 2 glorious years where her state of health and dignity greatly improved.

Compared to Nan's old home at another home - Nan was always in dirty clothes and half undressed. When we took Nan to The Court and she was very well looked after and always looked smart and nothing is to much trouble. The manager is an awesome carer and all the staff are very helpful and caring. The
home is fantastic and the food is a good quality aswell. There is always something there for everyone.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.808)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.808) out of 10 for The Court Retirement Residence is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 15 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 15 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.933 for The Court Retirement Residence is calculated as follows: ( (166 Excellents x 5) + (12 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 178 Ratings = 4.933
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.875 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for The Court Retirement Residence is based on 15 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.875
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 21 registered maximum number of service users is 4.2, which has been reached with 15 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
