The Rock

This is a wonderful Care Home. All the staff are kind, considerate, friendly, welcoming and professional. There is a warm, family atmosphere, and whenever l visit l am never made to feel that l have come at a bad time. My cousin, who lives there, is content and secure. It has high standards of cleanliness, and access to excellent medical care.

My mum went into The Rock care home in Feb this year. Myself and family find it very homely, very clean, and all the staff are lovely to all residents at all times, they are kind and considerate at all times (and I'm sure at time they are pushed to limits. The food is home cooked and looks delicious. There aren't a lot of activities going on that we see, but am sure things happens. Mum even had her nails painted!! Thank you everyone for making her safe and cared for.

My Mum couldn't be anywhere better. The Rock isn't just a care facility, it's a home from home full of warmth, care and dignity. The well-being of the residents is paramount and every member of staff takes great pride in their work, while being friendly, professional and efficient. Nothing is too much trouble. The staff also care for the relatives and I'm always asked how I am and whether I'd like a cuppa! The staff carry out their duties with good grace, cheerfulness and they are a credit to The Rock. I would recommend this outstanding and spotlessly clean home to everyone who needs personalised care.

I have been meaning to do this for a while My mum was at The Rock for 3 years until she sadly passed away in August 2025 Mum loved her stay at The Rock she always said it was home from home .The staff are amazing nothing was to much trouble .Home-cooked food Mum used to say it never felt like a Care home but home from home Christmas time was Mum favorite time at the Rock .I would highly recommend The Rock for your love ones they become family as well as dear friends

Sadly, two years after he arrived, Dad was rushed into hospital to discover that he was at the end of his life. He was desperate to get home to The Rock to die and was thankfully welcomed back without hesitation. He was gently looked after to the end, with patience, dignity and humour. I was able to be with him throughout and will never forget the kindness and warmth to the manager and two other staff members in particular and the team showed us all. Thank you so much to the beautiful people at The Rock.

The staff here are all very kind and caring, they strive to be as helpful as they can something that my family really appreciate as we live some distance away. Whenever I have asked for some help they have been most obliging and I can't thank everyone there enough for this. I know my father appreciates all the help too especially the little trips out and the chats he has with the team. Thank you.

My aunts came to the Rock together as they’d been all their lives sharing a home since birth, they were kept together here from 2017 until 2018 when one of my aunts passed away and the other is still in the Rock receiving the very best of care possible. All staff and management are so kind and caring and really get to know each resident to such an extent they have become family to both my aunts for which we are so grateful as they have needed and still do that intricate care delivered to them with fondness. Thank you to all of you.

Every aspect of my father's care is catered for, even if he sometimes does not appreciate that, but no change there in his character. The staff are always helpful and give care and understanding. The home is just that, a home rather than an institution as some large care homes seem to be. The small number of residents gives a genuine feeling of being at home I could not want anything more for him. So I would recommend The Rock to anyone looking for a safe and pleasant place for a loved one to live.

What a lovely care home. Beautifully decorated, scrupulously clean, and staffed with experienced, caring, and dedicated people who always have time for the people in their care and their families. Although not a topic any of us likes to dwell on too long, I must tell everyone how compassionate, devoted, and dedicated the managers and all The Rock staff were in the final stages of my mother's life. She was a resident at The Rock from January 2022 until she died, in her room at The Rock, in September 2023, surrounded with kind and caring staff who had become her dear and loving friends. She was 98 years old. She loved every minute of her time there. Towards the end of her stay, even when her health deteriorated significantly, requiring the provision of care around the clock, every effort was made to make my mother feel comfortable, protected, and loved. I can't recommend this care home more highly.

I love it here, the staff are very helpful for my needs, nothing is too much trouble for them. Food is all homemade. It is very warm and welcoming. We have an activities afternoon. Plus a sing-song afternoon as well.

If you have to use a care home this is the one.

The management and staff are always welcoming and accommodating with visits at short notice and always take time to discuss my mother's condition.

When we were called for Mum because she was so poorly, the home carried out our family's wishes by not having her put in hospital. Find all the team very professional caring and friendly. Always keeps us informed of any concerns they have for Mum and will answer our questions. Mum needs care and I know that she is receiving the best care from all the staff.

The home is always clean and tidy and is nicely decorated throughout. The staff are friendly, attentive and professional and I feel my mum has a good relationship with them all. They do their best for my mum.

All aspects of my aunt's care are excellent. The staff are always welcoming when I visit and I am kept up to date with my aunt's health and other needs. Staff are very professional and very responsive to caring for people with dementia. I can thoroughly recommend this home.

The owners and staff are caring, kind people who do their best to make sure my mother is comfortable and if there is anything the matter, our family is always kept informed of the situation and of any developments.

I have always found the home to be well managed and the residents receive personal interaction and care from all the staff.

My mum was placed at The Rock Care Home for rehabilitation after a stroke. We could not have wished for a better place, all the staff were very friendly. The home itself was very clean we could not fault it in anyway.
