Silverleigh Care Home

I did not witness any care given or food served but at first look I am pleased my friend is there.

Both parents have settled in and appear happy. This month they have particularly enjoyed the 'travel days' and the singers/musicians that have played at the home.

I cannot thank the carers and staff enough.

Being so far away from our dad, he has only been in the home since July, we visited him in September and feel he is so much happier and healthier, the staff are amazing, and always update me often by telephone, and have video calls with dad when possible .

Dad has been at Silverleigh for a few weeks and he's very happy and contented. Had been in hospital 6 weeks. The difference in him is so noticeable. Family are pleased with Silverleigh.

All the staff are more than helpful and caring. Mum was treated with respect and dignity. Everyone is very caring. Mum enjoyed her stay and was very complimentary about her stay.

All of the wonderful staff at Silverleigh are truly excellent. Nothing is too much trouble, and they regularly go above and beyond to enrich the lives of all residents. There is always a friendly smile from the staff and the residents really do receive the best care possible , with compassion and understanding. The food is excellent too ! My Father has been a resident since May 2025 and he is very happy there, having settled in extremely well. I am lucky to be able to visit every day and it is very reassuring for our family to see him looking so well. All of our family are extremely grateful to all at Silverleigh. You are all stars!

My wife came to Silverleigh in mid July after a spell in hospital after a heavy fall. Since she has been here all staff have been kind and very helpful and very easy to talk to. Also they have aided her with getting back on her feet again. They also keep me posted on any things I need to know. Well done. Also she is on a special diet so food is special done for her to swallow easier.

My dad was admitted to Silverleigh for respite care (dementia) and the Centre could not have been more helpful/ friendly and organised. They made everything super easy for my mum until we could get dad home. The staff were genuinely happy and friendly. Dad loved the food and the entertainment. It's great to know he can go here if mum needs a rest

Very supportive since the beginning which was Aug 2022. Very helpful with the transition of Mum coming to the home. Communication around my mum's care always communicated to us. Always kind and considerate when I phone the receptionist asking to visit.

Every time we come to the home, we get a very pleasant welcome from all the staff who are exceptionally happy and friendly. My mum is very content and comfortable in her surroundings. We know she is very well cared for, so do not worry about her, which is very comforting. We are so glad we found this home and would recommend it to anyone.

Dad came in for respite care which lasted 8 weeks and in that time I was delighted by the car & attention he received from the manager and the team. Silverleigh is spotlessly clean and tidy and Dad enjoyed the food.

From the first day she moved in (31/03/2025) to the day she died (21/06/2025), my mum received excellent care from every member of staff at Silverleigh Care Home. Welcomed by all, and staff tending to all her needs with care, thoughtfulness, calm, generosity of spirit, friendliness and humour. The home was always clean, bright & cheerful. Visitors were met promptly and looked after with equal care and attention. Everyone made her time there easy, relaxed, well-catered for and gave her great respect.

Whatever their needs, each resident is always given excellent, expert and caring attention with respect and dignity. Visitors are welcomed by friendly staff at all times and relatives kept well informed of their loved ones wellbeing.

Silverleigh is a first class home with first class staff. My Mum spent her last few days at Silverleigh and was looked after and cared for as though she was a member of their own family. Their skills, knowledge and professionalism is amazing and the genuine caring nature of all the staff is incredible, they are true angels. They even cared for me with as much passion as they did for mum. Nothing was too much trouble. Mum said "We were so lucky to find such a nice place to be with such wonderful staff, and at short notice too". A car was sent to collect mum within half an hour of making our initial phone call. Thank you Silverleigh staff.

My mother was here for a year until her death in February 2025. Over that time she was treated extremely well by the lovely staff, backed up by caring management. She had dementia, but her last months were as happy as they could be, given that condition.

My mother has had a wonderful experience in Silverleigh. She has only positive things to say about the staff and how well the home is run. I would rate her care 10 out of 10. I thank the staff for their kindness and care.

Silverleigh is an excellent care home with a warm and homely atmosphere. There is a large team of hardworking staff who are well-led by the manager. They are always smiling, kind and helpful, whilst treating residents with respect and understanding their needs. The nursing team are excellent having many years of experience. They are kind and compassionate, the residents well being is at the heart of everything they do. Meals are well presented and appetising. There are several choices for each meal served by the staff. Snacks and drinks are readily available throughout the day. There is a very encouraging activities team who manage to stimulate the residents by keeping them entertained. The residents like listening to music or to hear volunteers singing. There are also quiet rooms where you can talk to family and friends or where you can read a book. The receptionists are always pleasant and welcoming. The cheerful laundry team ensures the resident's clothes are washed and ironed and the kind housekeeping team keeps the care home very clean and tidy. The maintenance men are very helpful and available if their expertise is needed. I visit Silverleigh regularly and I am always made to feel welcome. I know my husband is safe and well cared for by the staff at Silverleigh Care Home.

They are considerate and caring but attempt to bring aspects of joy into both our lives.
