Silverleigh Care Home

My dad has been in Silverleigh since November 2019. I cannot speak highly enough of the care dad receives. The staff are all incredibly empathetic towards the residents. I love how daily activities keep the residents stimulated. It is such an amazing home and I feel forever grateful that dad is here. Dementia is a harrowing journey, but with staff like the Silverleigh crew it cushions the blow.

My father has been in Silverleigh for 18 months. He is treated with great care and dignity. The staff respond to all our needs in a very caring way as we all need to be part of this dreadful disease. It is not easy but we are all treated in a caring way. I have not given excellent to staff and management as it covers a large employment base.

I cannot believe the fantastic care my aunt has had since being a resident. She arrived in December 2016 not expected to live. She was hospitalised in January 2017 and it was touch and go. She went back to the home after a week and is now a happy healthy 96-year-old, 97 in September! She has a lovely room, the home is always clean and welcoming, as are the staff. They are as concerned with us relatives as they are with their resident. Brilliant. A wonderful place for my aunt to spend her last years.

My wife and I visited Silverleigh the week prior to my mother's death and were highly impressed with the efficient manner in which were shown around by someone obviously very proud of what Silverleigh had to offer. 5 Star facilities without a doubt! The meeting with the manager at the conclusion of our tour confirmed in our minds the facility was being managed by someone whose heart was well placed. If ever we came to live in the area and were in need of the best care available it would be Silverleigh Nursing Home without question.

A real home from home, nothing too much trouble. Very responsive staff with a great understanding of residents and relatives' needs. Very active activities team who achieve very much.

The staff treat people as unique individuals with their own set of circumstances, an ethos which is entrenched and comes naturally to the caring, compassionate and joyful staff. The activity coordinators are exceptional people and must be ‘hand-picked’. Mum is always well turned out and clean thanks to the marvellous housekeeping staff. Home cooked meals are laid out for sight and smell and choice, of which there is plenty. Staff are very astute at noticing if there is a change in my Mum’s condition and they act accordingly, keeping me updated where appropriate. I have great faith in their ability and I am learning to relax a little and leave her care in their capable hands. The superb management of the manager and her administration team are always thereabouts and they know the people and their visitors as well as the rest of the team do. I have no hesitation in recommending Silverleigh for their excellent care in all departments and for their support to myself and my Mum.

The staff and facilities of Silverleigh are simply outstanding. Nothing is ever too much trouble. As a visitor, you are always made welcome. Drinks and cake are always made available.

I can not put into words the amazing care my mother gets in this care home.

My mum is always clean and dressed with such care. Food is fabulous and to a high standard. Very clean, well-kept home.

I have now spent a few hours with one of your patients and would like to thank you all for the wonderful care you are giving him. What a wonderful place you run. I wish I had been able to find somewhere for my mother like this. I was so impressed I will certainly be talking to people in my area about you I only wish you were in this area the north west of England.

Our family have been pleased with the way the staff at Silverleigh Nursing Home manage my husband's complex needs. He needs nursing care and because of his dementia, is unable to express himself most of the time. We are very relieved to feel that he is being well cared for by competent, experienced and kind people.

I visit my wife on a regular basis, usually at lunch time, (12noon - 2pm). The care and attention given to all residents in my humble opinion is second to none. All the carers and general assistants are most helpful in aiding people who, in the most part, are totally reliant on their assistance in their everyday needs. I am eternally grateful to know my wife is warm, safe and content in Silverleigh Care Home.

My dear dad recently moved to Silverleigh Care Home, I cannot praise the staff enough, he's settled very well. Everyone has a smile while carrying out their duties with great care and compassion. Even though it's a large building, it feels very homely, a great deal of thought has gone into the décor, and it's spotlessly clean.

My mother has been a resident at Silverleigh for nearly two years. The staff are friendly, helpful and caring. There is no shortage of carers and the home has a lovely peaceful atmosphere. I have been very satisfied with the standard of care.

Every time I visit my Mum she is well turned out, dressed smartly and obviously well looked after. The staff are very approachable and friendly in what is a demanding environment. I always get offered a drink and sometimes even a meal. Special occasions, like Birthdays, they always make a fuss of her.

Our relation has been resident at Silverleigh for 5 and a half years. We visit at least twice a month and have always been made welcome to a lovely, well run home. Staff are very on hand at all times and plenty of activities take place daily, and regular events ie. tea party, dog show, xmas party. We've made many friends here. Our relative had been to 5 homes until we found Silveleigh and is so well settled and regards this as her home. Thank you all so much.

A very warm, homely and caring group of staff, making the residents feel like home. A great deal of time, thought and effort has been put into the decoration and systems of the home.

Very pleased with mums care and she is very settled and happy. Staff are always very welcoming and always offer tea of coffee. Lots of activities for mum to join in.
