My mother has been at Tracey House for 3 years and has been extremely happy. The staff always treat her with great respect and encourage her independence but always provide support when required and provide interest and entertainment. Always kind to family, welcoming and encourage visits. Can't fault the home or the staff/management.
My mother has been at Tracey House for the last 18 months and has just died, aged 97. She had been living alone unaided until her admittance but was given every opportunity to acclimatise to her new surroundings at a pace that suited her and she soon came to appreciate the friendship and facilities that were on offer. The premises are graciously appointed, warm and comfortable and the atmosphere is one of being in a large family home. Over the last 6 months, my mother has declined in health and has needed considerably more care to maintain her dignity and promote her wellbeing. The staff have been incredible in the imaginative and thorough way they have appraised her changing needs and have liaised with the local surgery to access all the extra medical support required to manage her care. The last few days of her life were gentle and calm, helped by the fact she felt she was able to die "at home" and amongst friends. We can't speak highly enough of Tracey House.
I recommend Tracey House very highly. Mother is so well looked after and is very happy there.
As a family of the former resident, I believe the level of care provided was very good/excellent. Management and staff have a good ethic and the level of care is friendly and personal.
This is a lovely residential home set in beautiful grounds. It is very clean and serves good food. There are numerous varied activities for the residents which are held most days. The staff are kind and very caring, welcoming families to visit at all times. My father aged 100+ was extremely well especially towards the end of his life. He died very peacefully and happy. He considered the staff a second family. The staff also extended their care to the family as a whole when we were with my father at the end.
Care and compassion given to my mother was excellent. This included palliative care until her death.
Tracey House was recommended to our cousin by a trusted friend. From the outset, it was clear that this is an exceptional place. They literally take care of 'everything'. All of the staff are first class and make you feel welcome. The house and grounds are beautiful and in a wonderful setting. For folks who cannot remain on their own, this is a 'home from home'.
I describe Tracey House as "the sort of place you hope to find". My mother moved there following recommendation from a friend of mine who's mother also lives there. It is an excellent place where my mum is very happy. In my job I saw many care homes and can honestly say this is the best I have seen.
Tracey House itself is in a delightful setting and the standard of the gardens is impressive. The premises is conspicuously clean and well-maintained. My mother took every opportunity to be outside when the weather permitted. We consider that we very fortunate to be able to place my mother at Tracey House and we send our best wishes to the staff and residents with whom we are still in contact.
Having known the proprietors for many years we have , my wife and I been to Tracey House in many guises.. as friends, supporters of their many charitable fund raising events, as visitors to many of the residents and as a witness to the are and attention given to the residents. At no time has there been anything but praise for the way Tracey House has been seen as the perfect environment in which to spend ones later days. It is a joy to listen to the residents comment on all aspects of their life and it sets a benchmark for all such homes it really is top of the tree!
