We were concerned and dismayed to read your comments. Your grandfather stayed with us for less than one month and we regret that we did not have the opportunity to discuss these with you during his or your grandmothers stay. Full disclosure of care needs is very important prior to admission, particularly with issues that may negatively affect other residents and staff, or put them at any risk. We responded to your grandfathers behaviours by initiating all necessary safeguarding measures to keep residents and staff safe. We consulted with the appropriate healthcare professionals for specialist advice but it quickly became clear that he required a different home with higher levels of security. We do take great pride in the quality of our staff, the care they provide and the environment enjoyed by our residents. These are frequently endorsed by families and healthcare professionals involved in the home. We sincerely hope that your grandparents have settled in their new care homes.
