Even before we got to see the home we were impressed by the contact with the staff: their close communication with us and sense of partnership, attention to detail, and sharing of information across the team. Seeing them in person just confirmed this sense and exceeded it. Not only were they very warm and caring to Mum and us but also helped us navigate some crisis moments, speaking kindly and supportively to Mum when we felt somewhat overcome by events. Special thanks to Rakesh who is dynamic, responsive and warm and really on the ball, reaching out at all hours as needed. Thank you to all of you for what you do, including providing lovely food so caringly. So many of you go to extra lengths we know, taking Mum on special outings, helping family connect when they can't get through and partnering with us so closely. We only wish she had a bigger room she liked more without the worry of stairs.

It has been a pleasure to visit Lorna House, which is spotlessly clean. Every member of staff has been welcoming, happy, kind and extremely caring. The chef has prepared delicious meals and cakes, which Mum has thoroughly enjoyed. I can't thank them all enough.

We always found the management and staff to be excellent - Sympathetic, helpful and accomodating on visits and on the phone. The rooms are nice and homely and the garden and sunroom are nice places to sit with loved ones. I live overseas and knew that my father was in excellent hands - with them going the extra mile to me updated on his health and well-being. I was very happy with the choice we made for him.

My brother moved to Lorna House in October 2023 after leaving the hospital following a stroke. This was intended to be a relatively short-term placement, but it took longer than we expected for us to be able to complete a purchase of new sheltered accommodation for him. In the event, he stayed until March. The facilities at Lorna House were excellent and the staff were always so helpful and friendly. We were particularly impressed by the range of activities that were provided during his time there. Our grateful thanks to everyone at Lorna House.
