Eastbury House is a privately run residential home for the elderly. It was established in 1974 and is situated in the centre of Sherborne within a few minutes level walk of the shops and the Abbey.

The house, parts of which date back to the early 17th century has twenty rooms available for residents together with a dining room and sitting room. The large enclosed garden offers a peaceful and secluded spot to enjoy the sun or the shade of their many trees.

The home is registered as a residential care home by the Care Quality Commission. They also advise that if assistance from public funds is required, then you should contact your local Social Services department prior to any arrangement being made.

My mother moved into Eastbury House after suffering a stroke and she has settled in extremely well. I cannot fault the care she is given. The staff are without exception kind and patient and she appears to be well looked after with all her needs met.
I am very happy with the level and quality of care
given.

My mum had a truly wonderful weeks stay, she was very happy and loved the excellent food. The staff each and every one of them are totally amazing. The love within Eastbury oozes out. Mum has said she would love to go again. I felt as her carer normally that she was 100% plus safe and extremely well
looked after in every aspect.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Eastbury House.
It doesn't feel like a care home.
My mother has been looked after with compassion and expertise throughout her time there.
The staff are caring, competent and reassuring.
I always feel that my mother is in the very best of places.
There
is always an ambience of "home".
Everything possible is done to make the residents feel comfortable and part of the family.
It is simply wonderful!

Stacey Witt

Job Title: Registered Manager Joined: 1998

Stacey started work at Eastbury House at 15 years old and has since obtained a degree in Business Management and a Level 5 Registered Managers Award. Stacey has specialist training in Dementia, End of Life and Nutrition and saw Eastbury House through our initial GSF assessment (The Gold Standards Framework) and continues to strive to ensure exceptional End of Life Care for residents.


Stacey has also recently qualified as a Trainer for Moving and Handling and so can train individual staff as necessary.

Laura Sargent

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2002

Laura started her career in care at Eastbury House at the age of 14 and has been with us ever since - 2 babies and 20 years on she has completed her level 4 in Care and has worked her way up to the position of Deputy Manager, Laura also has specialist training in dementia, End of Life and oral health.


Laura is very hands-on and passionate about caring for our residents. She can turn her hand to anything and may be found in the kitchen cooking lunch, working on a care shift, or on a trip out with residents.
