The Steppes is located in the pretty Cotswold town of Nailsworth, in a peaceful corner of Cossack Square and is situated close to local amenities including a post office, library, doctor's surgery and shops.

The family-run residential care home was established in 1981 and continues to provide quality care of the highest standard.

The Steppes is a charming Cotswold stone building which has been converted sympathetically into an attractive, comfortable accommodation for older residents.

Trained carers are committed to offering residents comprehensive and continual care to ensure their physical, mental and spiritual needs are maintained. Individual care plans are carefully tailored for each resident, detailing how The Steppes can provide the best possible care.

An on-site cook prepares a choice of delicious, nutritious home-cooked food and caters for any specific dietary requirements residents may have. Arrangements can be made for family and friends to join to residents to dine if they wish.

My mother has been living at The Steppes for six years. She's now ninety and has had dementia for about ten years. She's very well looked after by the staff, she's safe and her physical needs are all met.
Unexpectedly, her state of mind has improved while she's been living there. She enjoys the company
of other residents and takes part in the various outings and activities.
With her dementia, she's not always aware of her situation but she's commented to me on the kindness of the staff. I've seen this myself on my regular visits. I'm very happy we found The Steppes for her.

My mum has been a resident of The Steppes Care Home for a number of years. When her previous sheltered accommodation closed she chose The Steppes after visiting and being impressed with the welcome and atmosphere in the home. We have never regretted her choice. She is happy, comfortable and feels safe
there. The staff are always friendly, welcoming and helpful with personal attention for all of the residents. Mum enjoys life in The Steppes and it really is a home in the best of senses. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a warm and friendly environment with a true family feeling and individual attention.

This home is a warm, welcoming and caring place.
The staff are exceptionally kind, patient, friendly and cheerful.
The manager is to be congratulated on the lovely atmosphere here and a lot of the carers have been in post for a considerable time which speaks volumes, they are happy in their work.

Mum was made very welcome from the moment she arrived. She is very happy, well cared for and pleased to be in a home with such caring, friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble and the optional, regularly organised trips, quizzes and singalongs all help to keep mum mentally stimulated and giving her
an opportunity to interact with other residents.
The food is always good and varied, with alternative options always available. As a family we are always made welcome, often with a cup of tea and can drop in at any time.

The Steppes has a friendly, homely feel to it. The staff are lovely and caring and approachable. My father has been well cared for over the 3 years he has been there. I feel part of a partnership with the staff who are happy to include me in the various social events organised during the year.
