The Dene Lodge is always warm and clean. Most importantly it never smells. The staff are welcoming and happy. My mum is well looked after and content. We travel 250 miles to visit and just drip in ad-hoc and it never seems any bother for the staff. Keep it up.

My father was here for twelve months. He was always treated amazingly, with compassion, patience and careful consideration of his needs which were complex. In his final days, The Dene Lodge exceeded every expectation in caring for all of us as a family. They were unbelievably compassionate to us all. Just a brilliant home.

When I was no longer able to care for my husband, who was frail and had dementia, he was placed at The Dene Lodge.
The care he received was outstanding and the kindness of the staff, both to him and to myself and friends, was reassuring at a time of huge stress.

I can't speak too highly of everyone involved in his care.

Due to circumstances beyond Dene Lodge's control, I could not visit during this four-week respite but daily phone calls were very informative so I felt 'in touch' and photos etc helped me. The staff were genuinely caring and very supportive of both of us. If I had been able to visit I would probably tend to 'excellent'.

My mother has stayed at Dene Lodge since July 2019. The staff have always seen my mother as an individual and have treated her with respect. They have respected me, as her daughter and I feel included as part of the team. They coped valiantly through the pandemic and I spoke to her on a videolink and was able to visit when restrictions were eased. The staff are caring, hard-working and cheerful. The food is delicious.

Management and staff are extremely kind, polite and helpful. We are always given a drink on arrival. They always update me before they put anything new into place with Dad. Dene House has put themselves out to help Dad with new, more comfortable chairs. Dad goes out in the minibus, which he enjoys. I haven't seen the rooms/facilities so I cannot comment. I can't say about value for money because I have nothing to compare it to.

We could not have found a better place for my stepmother. She has Dementia and Alzheimer's. They have transformed her. Always pleased and helpful. Due to covid, I have not been into the building. I could not recommend them more highly.

My mother has been a resident for 2.5 years and during that time, she has been treated with the utmost care and kindness. Due to her ongoing dementia and covid restrictions, the activities she used to be actively involved with are no longer appropriate. Mum, however, does still enjoy and respond to the happy, positive atmosphere around her, for which I will always be grateful.

My wife's aunt has been at The Dene Lodge for almost 18 months. We are very pleased with the care she is receiving. She settled in very quickly and is very happy and comfortable. She is well looked after and we have every confidence in the excellent staff.
We have had no complaints from her, in fact, she has said she is pleased to be there.

It gives us peace of mind that she is safe and cared for.

Staff at The Dene Lodge have always been very helpful and supportive of my father and his changing needs. When he had a fall when out with a friend, they worked extremely hard to get him mobile again.

Excellent management providing a good working atmosphere where staff are happy and secure. This then makes the residents (many of whom have dementia) feel safe and secure.

I visit my mother (from the other side of the country) about every 4-6 weeks. It's a long 600-mile round trip and the staff and management appreciate this - I cannot thank them enough for helping to make my own visits pleasurable which then helps me and my mother.

My mother, who has just turned 100, has been a resident at Dene Lodge for the past 3 months. The manager and staff are always extremely kind and considerate. They have taken a great deal of time and care in getting her settled in. It is a great relief for me to see her being so well looked after in nice surroundings as she had not been coping well in her own home for some time.

We have found all members of staff to be pleasant and eager to help both family and resident. They show respect to residents and appear to have the patience of saints. Staff are prepared to go that extra mile to ensure residents are happy in their environment.
The cleanliness is superb and the cleaners are very friendly towards residents.
The Christmas party which we attended, was great for all. Our mum even managed to dance although she rarely moves about.
There is a very welcoming atmosphere and residents are treated individually and their medical requirements are administered well.

The home is a place of safety for all.
