Mum loved Tudor Lodge from the moment she arrived, the outings and the entertainment. Everyone was so well looked after. Very much a family feel, nothing was too much trouble.

During the two years my mother was a resident at Tudor Lodge, my sisters and I visited many times and always found the atmosphere homely and caring, and the food was good. My mother was always treated as an individual, with understanding, dignity and respect. There was an overall feeling of care and
compassion.
Reply from Chris Arnold, Director at Tudor LodgeThank you for your review. We are so pleased that you were happy with the care your mother received at Tudor Lodge and as ever, will share your kind comments with all the staff.

My grandmother really enjoys staying at Tudor Lodge. We always receive a warm welcome when we visit. The management and staff are lovely and the activities provided are fabulous. We've visited during arts and crafts, pottery, painting, quiz time, various musical entertainments and even during a visit
from some beautiful owls. The residents are well cared for and happy. I would definitely recommend Tudor Lodge to anyone looking for a care home in the area.

Having cared for my elderly mother at home for a number of years my wife and I were very apprehensive about accepting her decision to move to a care home. We arranged for a few trial visits before deciding that her move to Tudor Lodge would be a good thing. That was 18 months ago and we can honestly
say that it was the best decision we could have made. She is so well cared for that we have no reservations about the care provided by the staff who all appear to be sympathetic and caring people, well managed by proprietors who are obviously fully engaged in the welfare of all of their residents. My mother has definitely improved since her move to Tudor Lodge where she enjoys the activities, the company and the facilities. She is quite simply happier than she has been for years. it would be difficult to suggest any improvement to the standard of care provided, it is such a friendly and inclusive atmosphere where there is always something going on to engage and interest the residents.

In the 14 years that 4 different family members have been cared for by Tudor Lodge, the care has continually been exemplary.
I can honestly say that the whole system works. The care, the food, the cleanliness, the interest in the individual's needs, the interest in family members, the decor. Everything
is thought about. Well Done Tudor Lodge. Not many like you.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.944)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.944) out of 10 for Tudor Lodge is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 19 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 19 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.969 for Tudor Lodge is calculated as follows: ( (220 Excellents x 5) + (5 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 226 Ratings = 4.969
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.975 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Tudor Lodge is based on 19 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.975
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 28 registered maximum number of service users is 5.6, which has been reached with 19 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
