Overall Experience
All my family like Albany House because it is small and intimate with excellent care.
Everyone including many of the residents is very welcoming and they all care for each other.
It is more like a guest house than an institution.

Staff are all quick to respond to requests and my husband has improved immensely since going there in July 2017, post-stroke.

I am very happy in this excellent residential home.
The care, help and advise given to me for all my individual needs is carried out with kindness and patience.
I receive an excellent choice of food and quantity, alteration to diet was taken into account on my arrival at the home. Regular cleaning and hygiene is carried out. Any questions I ask are given every consideration.
My family and friends are given a warm welcome to visit and my doctor and next of kin are informed if it is necessary.

Regular safety and security checks are carried out.

Overall Experience

By her own choice, our mum recently moved to Albany House from another care home. The atmosphere at Albany is homely, caring and inclusive and our mum is glad she made the move. Our mum has impaired sight but retains her mental capacity; she has found several residents at Albany with whom she can interact and develop friendships which has made all the difference to her experience of care home life. Albany has a conservatory and an outside terrace, both popular gathering spots for the residents, and ideal for our mum who, because of her poor sight, needs to be in plenty of light. She also enjoys some of the activities Albany provides, especially the singing, where her sight is not an issue, and because Albany is right in the centre of town the shops or the coffee shop are only just across the road so she can still feel connected to the world outside. All the staff are wonderful to her, kind, cheerful and caring. We are confident she is getting the best possible care.

Overall Experience

Albany House is a gem of a residential home, right in the middle of Tisbury with it's wide range of facilities. The staff are mostly (if not all) local people who are friendly and caring to both residents and visitors alike. Nothing is too much trouble, care is taken to treat residents as individuals and all visitors are made very welcome. My mother is happy at Albany House and recognises that she is very well cared for. Thank you to all the staff.
