I have never been into the home because of Covid; Dad went into the home in May and is awaiting his assessment. I have not been able to review food or value for money. Dad has told me his rooms is small; it would be more dignified for the room to be ensuite, so he does not need to use a commode. All staff friendly and helpful, have not had many dealings with managers. The home is coping really well with the Covid situation. Activities and extra care (eg chiropody, hair cuts) starting again. All staff supportive both to me and Dad. I have been able to visit Dad regularly. I speak to him through his window or through open patios doors in one of the lounges. I am very pleased with Dads care.

We have had a great experience from start to finish. What was an upsetting and stressful situation leading us to find care for our grandad, was made easier by the lovely, caring staff. Lansdowne has a homely community feel, food is great quality and nothing is too much trouble. As a family, we really appreciate all of the support given to us over the last month and would recommend Lansdowne to anyone.

Although mum has only been a resident at Lansdowne for a short time, we've been extremely happy with the thoughtful and compassionate care she and our family have received. After being at the home for a month, mum suffered a mild stroke and spent 2 weeks in hospital. When discharged, her needs increased significantly, due to being poorly from a secondary infection. However, nothing has been too much trouble for the staff and we believe her continuing recovery is largely due to the attention the carers have given to ensure mum has been comfortable and her needs met, both mentally and physically. The staff are warm and friendly, extremely hard working and very caring to the residents, their families and to each other and always make time to update us. They have been professional throughout and supported us through what has been a distressing time. I know I speak for my family when I say we are extremely grateful and appreciative of the care and support mum has received so far.

My mother-in-law moved into this care home at the end of September. Since moving, she has been encouraged and helped to do things she has not done in a year.

Our Dad was discharged from GWH to Lansdowne Hill Care Home and was made welcome from day one. The staff were amazing and treated him with so much respect and dignity. Nothing was too much trouble during his stay. Our family was kept up to date constantly and always felt at home during our visits. Dad was always comfortable, had lovely nourishing food, constant checks and someone to chat to. The manager worked hard to ensure all the residents were looked after to the highest standard. All the staff from the handyman to the cooks, cleaners, carers and entertainers were brilliant. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Lansdowne Hill.

From the moment my nan arrived, she was made to feel at home, we are a very close family and this was something we never wanted. The entire staff are committed to providing a caring service for all and you only have to step inside the door to feel the warmth and care they provide day and night.

Putting our nan in a home was the last thing any of us wanted and of course, choosing a home was something we had to do as a family. We all feel that Lansdowne Hill Care Home is the best place for nan as she is cared for beautifully. As "nan" said once "It's not the home but it's the closest thing!" and that says it all!
