Dad went to Ashley Lodge in June 2025, as it was unable to live on his own anymore. He was made very welcome from the start. The staff from top to bottom are very caring and work to provide a safe environment. Dad's bedroom is ensuite - shower separate. 3 meals a day plus other drinks etc throughout the day. Washing and ironing done. Back up medical care from GP - paramedics, district nurse are fantastic. We're kept fully informed about Dad's condition and progress. Always relaxed and calm when we arrive - Thank you.

Mom has been in Ashley Lodge since October 2025, and I have to say we have been extremely happy with the care and attention mom has received. Also when we visit the staff are very friendly. We feel really comfortable while we are there, and we feel comfortable and happy when we leave as we know mom is in very good care.

My mother has lived at Ashley Lodge since 2023. She moved there from a long way from Birmingham to be near my sister who visits regularly. Both my mother and my sister have been well accepted by Ashley Lodge. They have provided excellent care to my mother and adjusted this as her condition has deteriorated. They have accepted her at times not that easy behaviour with kindness and understanding.

They have provided practical support to my sister taking her out e.g. wheelchair and into her care. They are increasing the activities for residents which is good. Xmas is delightful. The home is clean, comfortable and homely. I have no hesitation in recommending it.

Very individually suited to each resident.

There is a nice homely feel to the place and it doesn't feel commercialized, a great independent feel about the place.

Since my mum has been at Ashley Lodge she has brightened up, made friends, looks so well, clean and nicely dressed. The staff are most helpful, friendly, caring and professional, they keep me up to date with any health issues. Each resident is treated as an individual and their specific needs catered for there are activities by outside people most days and stimulation in the form of puzzles, building blocks, colouring, magazines. The home is very clean, well furnished and smells lovely. My mum's room is airy and well-equipped. The manager and her team are always on hand and make visitors feel welcome. I would certainly recommend Ashley Lodge, I am very pleased with the whole package.

My mother moved into Ashley Lodge in August 2023. She is happily settled there now. Ashley Lodge is located in a lovely quiet conservation area and the building itself is old and full of character. The atmosphere is always cheerful and relaxed and the staff are extremely caring and sensitive to each individual resident's needs. The manager and many of the staff have been working there for a long time and their years of experience are extremely valuable in answering any of our queries or finding solutions to any issues that arise. We feel we are extremely lucky to have found such a gem of a residential home for my elderly mum.

This is a lovely care home. The carers are conscientious and friendly and my relative who is very choosy is very happy there. She says the food is delicious and that there is plenty of it. Each resident has their own room which is kept clean, bright and tidy. The home is warm and welcoming. It is an elegant building full of character with a lovely wooden staircase. There are plenty of activities including singing, exercise and regular visits by children from a local nursery. Festivals such as Christmas and Easter are great fun with visits from Santa and his elves. They also have fetes with tombolas to raise money for residents. The manager is very experienced and hugely aware of resident's needs.

Since our father was accepted as a resident with Ashley Lodge Care Home, our family have been highly impressed with the excellent care provision he has received.
The staff are brilliant and have gotten to know him as a person, encouraging him to be social and spend the majority of his time out of his room and with other residents. He looks so well-kept and well-groomed, the food is great and his needs are met exactly as we always hoped they could be.
The residence itself is charming, warm and welcoming, set in lovely surroundings. As there are a fairly small number of residents, the care feels more personal.

In all, we would highly recommend Ashley Lodge to anyone looking to have their loved ones looked after with great person-centred care in a homely setting. It is well-led and highly respectful of the residents and their families with a consistency that stems from the brilliant managers right through to every staff member we've had interactions with.

I couldn't have asked for a better care home for my mum. From the day she arrived, the care has been amazing. I really thought she would find it hard to adjust, but nearly every time I see her, she says how much she likes it. All the staff are friendly and helpful, lovely room and always spotlessly clean.

Her room is warm and comfortable. Mom is very well cared for and we are grateful that she now has all the help that she needs, provided by such a wonderful and caring team.

Ashley Lodge Care Home is a welcoming, friendly home and clean, lovely and friendly staff who show a lot of care and love to their residents. The food is exceptional and of a high quality, good choices for residents. Each resident has their own room which is made very homely for them with their personal things. Staff are always welcoming and friendly to you when you visit and an awfully a lot of effort is put into events for the residents at different times of the year, Christmas being especially lovely. A lovely care home.

I can't speak more highly of Ashley Lodge. It is exactly what we were looking for for my 92-year-old Mum. It's homely, warm, and comfortable. The staff are all exemplary and know all of the residents, their lives, dislikes, and various quirky ways. The staff without exception are - above all - kind - always helpful and willing, nothing is too much trouble. After my mum having been at 2 other homes, on entering Ashley Lodge I knew this was the place for her and it certainly is.

After looking at several care homes, this was our first choice. I was reassured that the right level of care could be provided for my mother, and more importantly, she could have visitors during Covid. The staff are friendly and attentive, and my mother is happy with the care she receives. Medication is administered properly. She is brought drinks as required, and her visitors also. There is a choice of food which she likes. The room and ensuite are cleaned daily, so there are no bad smells in the place, and laundry is frequent. We are very satisfied, and the cost for self-funders is very reasonable.

Over the 2 years that Mum was cared for at Ashley Lodge I couldn’t have wished more for her. The staff were amazing and consistent, you didn’t see new faces every time you visited, all friendly and attentive, they knew mum, how she was, what she liked. The rooms are clean and the setting beautiful. The gardens are well kept and mum enjoyed sitting outside in the summer. The last year was very difficult with covid but whenever lawfully permitted we were able to see or speak to mum whenever we wished. I’ve already told my children, this is where I’m going when my time comes.
