My mum has been a resident for 18 months and the care she receives is very good. She is treated with dignity at all times. The meals they receive are cooked on site and offer choices every day. It's not her 'home' but is as near as one could get.
Grove nursing home does all of that and more.
Really good staff who are well managed.
Keep up the good work. Thank you all.
Homely, fresh smelling, lovely day rooms, two overlooking a lovely, large garden.
I spoke to a resident there who said that the food was good - and it is!
The staff could not be more pleasant and helpful. Value for money is excellent.
Mum looks on it as a holiday (respite).
I get a break, Mum T.L.C. too - great!
My Uncle was discharged from hospital for respite care. On arrival he was unable to walk following a hip fracture, his condition was poor, and he'd been discharged with bedsores. The Manager clearly leads her team by example. They have been caring, supportive and helpful both to my Uncle and I. As a result he is now able to walk a little distance, (though at 95 it is unlikely he will ever walk unsupported). His skin is now in a better condition, and he looks so much more like his "old self!" This definitely is due to the care he has been given at Grove House.
Mum was admitted to Grove House for respite following a fall she had approx. 14 months ago. Unfortunately her recovery has taken a lot longer than expected and is still in residence, now awaiting a knee replacement. During her stay she has been very happy with the standard of care and the friendliness of the staff. Mums mobility is very limited and requires assistance with most aspects of her care, finding the staff really helpful & professional.

- Good - The service is performing well and meeting our expectations.
- Requires Improvement - The service isn't performing as well as it should and we have told the service how it must improve.
- Inadequate - The service is performing badly and we've taken action against the person or organisation that runs it.
- Not rated - we have not yet rated this area of the service, this is normally because the assessments we have carried out have been focused on other key questions.
