Mum has been here only a week. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Activities are a big bonus but Mum is confused at times with so many names to remember. Nice to have a quiet room to sit and chat. The food is okay. A ground-floor room would suit Mum better.
Thank you for taking the time to review Earlsdon Lodge Care Home. We are pleased to hear how satisfied you are with the exceptional level of care your mum received. Our dedicated and kind staff offer person-centred care to each resident at Earlsdon Lodge.
Respond quickly to requests for help and advice. Confident that Mom is being well cared for.
Since arriving, everyone has been so friendly. Every resident seems happy, which extends from the staff. My grandmother only has good things to say, and she can be tough to please.
New management and a lot of new staff.
Everybody are very kind and caring.
They do a lot of activities.
Thank you so much for a lovely review on Melbourne House, our residents are put first always with intentions of nothing but the best for them. There is always plenty of activities for them here and they have lots of fun and joy from it. Our care is outstanding and has improved greatly since having a new manager on board.
Kind regards
I am very happy with the care my brother is now getting since the new manager has taken over. Staff have been excellent as well.
Thank you for sharing your review about Melbourne House, Your kind words are much appreciated and all of our residents are put first and foremost in everything we do. We believe at Melbourne House that we have plenty of activities going on for the residents to enjoy and the care here has greatly improved since we had a new manager on board with us.
Kind Regards.
My nan has been here 3 years now and has always been happy. There has been a change of staff many times, but the care has been good. There is one member of staff who has been here the longest, and as a family we have a good connection. Pleased to see an increase in activities being held now, which is great.
Thank you for your kind words. All our service users are enjoying regular activities on a daily basis.
Over the past couple of months the standards have improved. There are now daily activities that offer stimulation to the residents. New management have implemented positive changes, despite staffing difficulties and the atmosphere within the home is pleasant and welcoming. Staff clearly care for the residents.
Thank you for your kind words regarding the care here at Melbourne House, it's very much appreciated.
The staff were friendly and helpful and seem to have a good rapport with the residents. One improvement might be to turn off the TV in the lounge and replace it with some background music (carols this time of year)? Difficult to have a conversation against the TV.
Melbourne House always welcomes us when we come to visit. Staff are always friendly and we appreciate their help with our sister.
Thank you so much for your kind words on reviewing our lovely care home. Your words are very much appreciated. We are grateful that you took the time out to give us your kind thoughts.
Nice and clean, friendly evironment. We feel welcome when we arrive.
We appreciate all the safety procedures. We also appreciate the different activities for everyone.
Thanks for sharing this review with us and the community.
The home went out of their way to provide safe facilities for visits during COVID restrictions.
Thank you so much for your kind words and for reviewing Melbourne House. We always do our utmost for our residents here in respect to care, and for filling each and everyone who lives here with respect and joy and their happiness is first and foremost key.
Mom is very happy here and we always strive to keep it that way.
Thank you again.
Kind Regards.
My wife spent almost the last year of her life as a resident at the Melbourne where she was very happy and content and made to feel very special due to the dedicated support given by the management and staff who even went the extra mile as and when required to ensure her well being. As a daily visitor I and my family were always made very welcome with a nice cup of tea on arrival. Prior to my wife passing away the Staff managed to get me to the home where I spent the last couple of hours with her, an act of which I will never forget the staff who arranged it. I had a very good relationship with everyone at the home from the owners, management and staff from day one and have no hesitation in recommending this residential care home to people who need the type of love and support that they provide.
An act we will fulfil when the time comes for all our service users and loved ones.
It was very pleasing to hear my staff go above and beyond in scenarios like yours and pleased you had those final moments with your wife who is sadly missed here.
You are welcome as often as possible for that cup of tea still!
Take Care
My father has been in the Home since mid 2017. I am very pleased with the commitment of the staff and care they all give him. They are very friendly and do what they can to answer queries that may arise. Activities seem rare, however, there are well attended regular events by friends and relations through the year e.g. Christmas and summer (bbq) with singalong etc.
We are currently reviewing the activities within the home to ensure we have a diverse programme in place to cater to all needs of the home.
As tough as times are currently for all, we have a regular singer coming in, especially now the warmer weather we are...
I could call in anytime and always welcome.
Mum was very dependent during her last few months, and it would have been easy to have left her in bed, but the staff got her up, dressed and took her downstairs to maintain her usual routine.
She passed away surrounded by love and care, for which I will always be grateful.
Still do continue to visit Melbourne. I am sure everyone would be pleased to see you when it is safe to do so.
Kindest regards,
S Smith.
Now having a new activity coordinator my brother is enjoying new interaction at Melbourne House.
Many thanks for your valuable review Sue.
My father has been made to feel very welcome and comfortable after a few difficult months in and out of hospital. He already has a good rapport with all of the staff as do myself and the other members of my family who visit on a regular basis.
Many thanks Jill for taking your time to give us a feedback. I will pass it on to our team.
If you are thinking of a Care home for your loved one, I can’t think of a better place where the staff really do care.
Thank you for taking the time to give us a valuable review. Staff will be more encouraged when appreciated and I will ensure we continue to provide excellent quality of care. We have now employed an activity coordinator to ensure that activities are catered for our residents. We also have an exercise class every Wednesday delivered by a qualified private company.
I know staff (including the manager, who I found both very capable and very approachable) used to take her to church when she wanted to go, for example, or to the shops, and carers also read her chosen books to her, which I know she enjoyed and made her feel relaxed and calm. They knew her humour and her personality well enough to make her laugh and feel comfortable and safe, and I think that was very valuable.
