My mom has been looked after at Wordsley Hall for just over two years. At first mom wasn't happy as she didn't want to leave her home but her condition - Vascular Dementia led her to being incapable of caring for herself, and has started to wonder off making it unsafe for her on her own. Wordsley Hall staff have been incredible with their patience, and care, and understanding by making mom feel happy and safe. She is enjoying her life there now. She loved the activities organised, crafts, and joins in the entertainment, she's a different woman now. Thanks to the wonderful staff who have become her family. Its a pleasure to visit her. My aunt was welcomed into Wordsley Hall in February 2025 and was always cared for and provided for by a very caring team. I noticed that all of the residents were treated with respect, compassion and a sense of humour. Wordsley Hall is a very good home, and all the staff are very kind and caring. I have had two members of my family at the home. Mother and aunty and they were looked after and cared for till the end. My mother passed away 3 years ago, and when my aunty had to go into a home, we had no hesitation to get her into Wordsley Hall. We knew she would be well looked after. She sadly passed away on 9th October 2025.

Quite a few questions cannot be answered, as when we visit, we have not seen her room and we try to keep away from eating times. Seems clean enough from what we have seen. Never seen anyone doing activities, so cannot comment. When we arrive, we are shown to a room to see my sister in law. Some rooms are better than others. The train station is particularly can be very busy and sometimes doors are open and you can see people in bed etc. Staff and management are very good, always friendly and cheerful.

We cannot find the words to express how grateful we are to all the staff at Wordsley Hall, for the care they gave my father in law during his time with them. They treated him like one of their own. He was kept clean, well fed, entertained, and above all, safe.
It's a daunting task moving an elderly relative into a care home and their sensitivity and evident skill in caring for older people made the process so much easier.

We cannot thank the staff enough for the love, care and respect they have shown mum. We have spent many hours at Wordsley Hall and have nothing but praise for the staff. Everyone works together as a team and nothing is too much trouble. We did have one issue and upon raising our concerns we couldn't have asked for more understanding and the problem was dealt with immediately. It gives us peace of mind to know Mum is in such good hands, it feels like one big family and staff genuinely care. The meals smell and look lovely and the scones with cream and jam looked delicious. We will be forever grateful for all the kindness we have received at such a difficult time. I wish your wages reflected the hard work that this profession requires. My sister has been in Wordsley Hall for 5 1/2 years now and has never had a which is a miracle as two people passed away in there two years ago. They also shut down the home if any illness occurs or isolate them. If we have any queries they soon deal with them with no problem. The worry we have now is my sister's money is running out. She has paid in full all these years and could be moved to a cheaper home and and we don't want that.

My dad has been in Wordsley Hall for over six months. We as a family think we made the right decision in moving him there from a previous care home. We have found Wordsley Hall to be a very good care home, having experiences of other homes for relatives with stroke/dementia diagnosis in the past. The past homes have been a bit more "modern", and everything had to be "just so", with less freedom for residents to do as they please, within reason. Wordsley Hall, on the other hand, is a more "old fashioned" residence, which we think creates a better atmosphere as its more what residents are used to. The residents are allowed to do as they please as long as it's safe and within reason to do so. The staff are always friendly, and the care is "second to none" with very good management and housekeeping. Nothing is too much trouble for them.

We are extremely grateful to all the staff at Wordsley Hall that have looked after our aunt since January 2021. A special thank you to the manager, for all her support on what was an extremely difficult time for us. All staff are caring and hard working. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt happy having our aunt here as the communication was excellent. Big thank you to the member of staff who was amazing with my aunt, making her smile and two other members of staff, for keeping us updated on a day to day basis which meant a lot to us with not being able to visit, due to Covid restrictions. Also a massive thank you to the careworker at the end of her life, giving us support and keeping us in the loop and being with her, until her last breath. I would not hesitate in recommending this care home - all the staff team should be proud of themselves. For everyone who knew my aunt, she would say “Thank you” with a smile.
