‘The Friendly’ Inn was a closed down public house in 1998, which was bought with the intent to convert it into a Quality Residential Care Home. The Friendly Inn is now the founding member of the family-owned Friendly Care group of homes.

The care manager is a dedicated and experienced member of the team and together with other members of staff ensures that all residents are happy and receive individual personal care.

The Friendly Inn enjoys a large garden with lawns, delightful flower beds and plants. They have a more private courtyard with mature plants. They also take pride in their numerous summertime hanging baskets.

All meals are home cooked and special diets are catered for; freshly baked cakes are a specialty for residents.

The home is friendly, staff are kind and helpful. Rooms are very nice, clean and tidy. Good choices of food. Management are very approachable and try to deal with any problems.

I often find the resident in another person's clothes and I see other people in the resident's clothes. Clothes and objects go missing. I have asked for them to be found, some have not been returned and it takes weeks for the items to be returned. I feel the resident is not washed, showered regularly
and has dirty hair. I have given up with asking to shave, I do it each visit.
There are visits where I feel the care staff are very overstretched, mostly at the weekends. Maybe the management should help more and the manager should work weekends.

A really nice place, helpful staff.

Mom has settled in very well. I felt all her needs are being met and the staff are very kind and patient with all residents. We are informed when anything is different with mom we are very lucky to have mom in this home.
