Mum has only been at Netherwood for a week. In that week the whole team have been brilliant! From nurse visits to eye tests, they have given her a full MOT whilst showing her gentle kindness and care that she needs.
As a daughter, you worry constantly, but I've had daily calls with updates from members
of the care team - they are all upbeat and compassionate..
the place itself is positive and vibrant, every member of staff regardless of their role is friendly and approachable.
It's only been a week, but Netherwood has already exceeded any expectations.
Thank you.

This care home is exceptional. After looking at many care homes in Shropshire this one stood out for us. Exceptionally clean with beautiful gardens which residents use in the warm weather. The staff are very friendly, approachable and empathetic. My mother is extremely happy here, always laughing and
having a smile on her face when we visit. There are lots of daily activities that keep the residents happy which my mother really enjoys. There is a cinema and a hairdressing room which are excellent. The food is amazing and the kitchen staff and chef always cater for her needs. Highly recommended.

My mother-in-law has been a resident at Netherwood for just over 6 months. During that time, we have come to know a lot of the staff and without exception they are all friendly and approachable and a definite positive is that there does not appear to be a significant turnover in staff.
All the staff
know the residents as individuals and treat them accordingly with dignity and respect. The rooms and shared areas are clean and well maintained. We have not actually sampled the food, but the menus appear varied and drink and snacks are provided on a regular basis throughout the day.
Any issues are listened to and dealt with by the appropriate member of staff albeit care staff or management/admin. Any delays are usually outside their control eg waiting for appointments with the appropriate NHS professional.
We now feel we are able to go away for a few days safe in the knowledge that my MIL is safe and well cared for.

After visiting, a few care homes for my mom we chose Netherwood. It was apparent from our visit, the surroundings, accommodation and facilities would suit mom and the staff provided the care residents needed.
After several months residency our initial thoughts about Netherwood have been reinforced
from the manager to the maintenance team. We visit mom regularly, staff are always friendly, cheerful and attentive to the resident's needs. The management are always approachable and willing to speak to you keeping you informed regarding health issues etc. The care staff are friendly and caring towards individual residents, conversing and addressing each resident by name.
The kitchen staff provide a varied menu, catering for individual needs. Rooms are clean and tidy, the laundry is washed and returned to the residents' rooms regularly. Clothes can appear in the wrong room. Residents items can go missing but every effort is made to try and find them.
I would recommend Netherwood Care Home

Mum has been a resident for 18months. Overall care and facilities are excellent. Care is very much personalised to each resident's needs. The staff are long term employees - you always see familiar faces. The management team responded quickly and flexibly to a recent request to host an online mental
capacity assessment in relation to selling Mum's former home. They accommodated the request at very short notice while remaining professional.

Netherwood management were very quick to respond to an urgent need in accommodating my Aunt when hospital wanted a quick discharge.
All my Aunts needs were assessed quickly and her transfer to the care home facilitated
efficiently and also helpful to the family to ensure this stressful process was
conducted professionally.
The staff have been brilliant in helping my aunt to get used to her new surroundings which is crucial in helping her to settle.
Early days I know but we are comforted that she is in a safe, warm, comfortable place being looked after and cared for.
The staff and management are very friendly and a seemingly nothing is too much trouble attitude.

Netherwood is clean throughout and the rooms are spacious and welcoming. All the staff are pleasant and helpful and keep you fully informed and many of the staff go the extra mile. The quality of care is first class and the residents are treated excellently and cannot speak highly enough of the care
home in general. There are always different activities and entertainment to keep residents who want to partake occupied and happy.
I can't thank all the staff enough for looking after my father-in-law and the care and respect he was given in his final days.

Princess Lodge have been caring for my Mom for almost three years, in which time she has received excellent care. The staff treat the residents like family and go above and beyond to make them feel at home. Since December, my Dad has become a resident thanks to the staff helping to facilitate a transfer
from a different care home. He has been made to feel welcome and safe. We chose this home because of the positive experience we previously received with my Mom.

Mum has been at Netherwood since June and she has settled in well. Physically her mobility has improved massively and she has gained confidence walking with her frame. She eats really well and loves a cooked breakfast. The staff are all hardworking and friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
It's a huge comfort to us knowing Mum is safe especially as we live in Berkshire.

Nethermoor really does have a homely feel. The building is old, probably listed, and so the facilities aren't very modern, but the staff do their best to brighten the place up with decorations for every season.

Before she arrived, Mum was in a newly built care home for respite care; it was huge,

and she was like a fish out of water. When she moved to Nethermoor, all the staff were so friendly and caring. They understood she needed to be involved and made sure she had plenty to keep her occupied. After 18 months, Mum is part of the furniture. She has friends, and all the care staff know her by name. There are regular activities, crafts, games and live entertainment. There's also a lovely summer fete for staff, residents and everyone's families.

The garden is amazing, but sadly, most residents can't make use of it due to access issues. Some sort of path or patio would be fabulous. Trips out are very rare.

The care given to our dad was outstanding throughout his time at Nethermoor House. Every single member of staff treated him with kindness, respect and humility. They got to know him so well and he was well looked after and enjoyed the activities that were organised. We received regular updates about
health and the monthly newsletters were appreciated. He was very happy there and that meant the world to us. We couldn't recommend this care home enough.

In the three years my brother has been in the home I have never had cause for any complaint. I think the staff do a really good job in very difficult circumstances. I have always seen residents treated with kindness. My brother can be cantankerous as I'm sure many elderly people there can be but he
has had very few grumbles. My family are grateful for the care that he is given.

Mom has been living here for nearly 2 years. She settled in quite quickly and tells anyone who asks that they look after her well, and that the food is very good. Mom has dementia, so her remarks cannot always be relied upon for accuracy, but she is doing better than I expected when she first moved
in, and far better that she was when she lived alone.
