The contract terms are clearly outlined and were agreed and signed at the time of making the decision to remain at Netherwood beyond respite. We appreciate that making decisions during stressful times can be difficult, and our team is always available to explain any aspect of the agreement before or during a resident's stay. Read less

We are sorry to hear of your concerns. During periods of warmer weather, we implement a range of measures to help keep residents comfortable, including increased hydration, the use of fans, regular temperature monitoring and adapting activities where appropriate. Your father's room also benefits from patio doors, which can be opened to improve ventilation whenever appropriate and in line with his wishes and safety needs.

We note your comments regarding staffing. We can confirm that no nursing staff have left the home recently, and we continually review our staffing levels to ensure we provide safe, effective, and high-quality care. We are disappointed that these concerns were not raised directly with the management team at the time, as we would have welcomed the opportunity to discuss them and provide reassurance.

Although her time at Woodgreen Nursing Home was relatively short, we are truly pleased to hear that both you and your wife felt supported, cared for, and treated with kindness throughout such an emotional and difficult period. Providing compassionate care and ensuring families feel welcomed and supported is extremely important to us, particularly during end-of-life care and final visits with loved ones.
