Princess Lodge was purchased in August 2009 and after an extensive refurbishment reopened to accommodate residents of Sandwell and neighbouring authorities in January 2010.

In 2011 the home was extended to provide nursing care for up to 36 residents in a truly first-class environment.

We couldn't be more pleased with the care that Dad receives. All the staff are friendly, approachable, helpful and professional. Dad is treated with respect, and dignity and as he has a good sense of fun, this is taken into consideration, and he the carers are wonderful with him, making him laugh and
smile again.
When we last visited, Dad told me that he never thought he could be happier anywhere but home, but he is happy at Princess Lodge, and he speaks highly of all the staff there.
Everywhere is clean, and well-maintained, with memorabilia, photos of events etc in the corridors. Dad's room is lovely, and family have been allowed to put up photos, an electronic photo frame etc, to make it homely for him. He also has a tv. The meals smell and look delicious. Dad is also asked what he would like to eat, and is kept topped up with hot and cold drinks. Mum is also made very welcome, at any time of the day.
It gives us peace of mind, to know how well Dad is cared for every day.

My dad loves it here and has been made to feel like part of their family. Everyone has been so kind and friendly, as a family we couldn’t have got him in anywhere nicer. It’s great we can take our dogs in to visit as well. Spotlessly clean and the food looks amazing. Great activities as well to keep
them occupied. Would recommend it.

What an amazing care home, the staff go above and beyond. The food quality is amazing and an amazing variety. How they treat and respect my mom is 100% and need to be given the credit they deserve. Keep up the good work.

They take care of my dad very well and the staff are very helpful and friendly they always call me if dad has a bruise on his arm or hand they look after him well and I don’t have to worry when I go back home.

Princess Lodge is an outstanding nursing home and the team of staff there are amazing. It is clear to see that they truly care about the residents, through the level of attention to detail, the kindness and sensitivity shown, and professionalism. The environment itself is pleasant and visits are enjoyable,

My mom was bought into the home last March and has been welcomed with open arms. It has been a difficult time and, initially, she was only there for respite, however, she was made a permanent resident after health difficulties. We feel the home is ideal for her and all staff we meet are friendly and
patient and treat my mom like one of their own family members.

My stepdad has been here for a few years now and he loves it there we, as a family, don't have to worry about him anymore as he was living on his own before moving here. The staff from all departments are fantastic, they go above and beyond and keep me updated with everything regarding his care. It's

My auntie organised, with the care home, an 80th party for my nan. It was amazing, the staff were so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Every time we visit we never have anything bad to say and the care from the staff is amazing! (Coming from an ex-carer!) 10/10 from me! My auntie
couldn't of picked a better care home!

My mother has been a resident at Princess Lodge for just over two years. The level of care and compassion for their residents has been exceptional from day one. Whether it be from the owners, managers, nurses, activity coordinator, carers, cleaners, cooks or the handyman the professionalism and genuine
care shines through. The varied range of activities providing daily stimulation for residents deserves a special mention, as does all the managers and staff. Special efforts every time a resident has a birthday. The home is very well run reflected in a recent CQC good rating and the major strength that raises it to a standard over and above the norm is the attitude and genuine empathy of all the staff. I can highly recommend Princess Lodge based on my observations and experience over the last two years they have cared for my mum!

So, my mum as been here for 9 years now.
On the 8th of January, Mum was 80. I approached the home to ask if we could have a party for Mum and they agreed.
It was totally amazing and they sorted it all (we gave them a budget to do it).
They totally excelled my expectations. Mum was surrounded by
her family, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother and her sisters-in-law.
They made it a totally amazing day for her.
This home is amazing. Truly love their residents.
If I was ever in a position where I need to go into a home, this would be the one.

My mom is currently at this home, on a temporary basis. However, we are praying that this will change to a permanent stay.
All the staff are lovely and caring.
There is always plenty of activities to keep the residents occupied and they always make visitors very welcome.
The Christmas party in December
was a great event and the kitchen staff and chef went above and beyond.

Would highly recommend this nursing home, the staff are always so welcoming and go above and beyond in their care for our mother and the other residents. My mom came to your home from hospital for end of life care and your staff were amazing, they could not do enough for us at this terrible time. They showed us compassion and love they were there every step of the way with us. I can't thank them enough for the care they showed to my most precious thing
to me and that was my mom, nothing was too much for them even to the very end they showed how much they cared they only knew her for a week and it was like they knew her longer. Can't thank them enough.

My mother-in-law had the best end of life care. All staff were very accommodating. The care they showed and gave in a short period of time was second to none. The staff are amazing, nothing was too much trouble for them. They were supportive to us too as a family. There are a lot of us and never once

My partner was accepted into Princess Lodge around four years ago after her last home lost its contract. We have never regretted the move. The staff are so friendly and caring. Nothing is too much trouble. I don't class them as carers - but as caring friends who really do their jobs well.

My mum was transferred here from hospital. this was the facility available at the time of discharge. The care here has been exceptional. The management, nurses, staff and carers are remarkable. They have provided love and support to both the family and my Mum. I can't praise them enough.

Mom has been a resident in the home since leaving hospital in May. The care and consideration shown to Mom and the family has been of great comfort during a time when visiting has been restricted. We always feel well informed and that Mom is having excellent care.
When Mom was discharged from hospital
she had a badly ulcerated foot which the staff at Princess Lodge have addressed and updated us with images and reports on. We really do feel she is treated as an individual and given a high standard of personnel care which we will be eternally garateful for.
The staff always appear happy to talk to you and comment on how happy and smiley Mom is and staff are always available to advise if needed.

A friendly atmosphere where the staff know your name. Any issues or queries are dealt with immediately. It's a real home from home. Management and staff are all approachable and always have time to discuss any issues or problems, or just to have a chat. My friend has been in a few homes, none of them
treated my friend as well as Princess Lodge have. Would highly recommend this wonderful home.

It is always difficult in making the right decisions for a family member for help and care. Unfortunately, my father had been in 2 care homes before going to the Princess Lodge Nursing Home. His experience prior to going to Princess Lodge was shocking and I cannot go into detail on here.
However, after
spending a day riding around care homes to find my father a suitable care home I visited Princess Lodge.
From the first steps of entering Princess Lodge the atmosphere here was completely different.
The staff were very friendly and all of a very caring nature, totally different to what he had experienced prior to this.
So, in my opinion, I had struck gold and my father moved in. If you are in the same position I cannot speak highly enough of the staff at Princess Lodge Nursing Home, it's the best!
