My father is temporarily staying at Shire Oak Care Home House, and the standard of care has been very good. Staff are attentive, responsive, and professional, and they have taken the time to understand his specific needs, especially around mobility and safety. Communication with the family has been clear and helpful, which I appreciate as I'm not local.

The environment is clean, well-maintained, and feels calm. My father has been treated with kindness and respect throughout his stay, and the team have made a real effort to help him feel comfortable. Overall, Shire Oak has provided a safe and supportive setting during an important transition.

Dad has recently moved into care, so it's been a new experience for us all. The team have been so kind and clear explaining everything to us. They always welcome me when I visit with a cheery smile and Dad is full of praise and appreciation for all the care he is given. It's been a very positive experience for us all and mended many previously fraught and unhappy parts of our family relationship.

We were very apprehensive about mom going into a care facility but Shire Oak House soon put that to rest. We visit mom twice a week and are welcomed every time. The staff and management are very polite and welcoming. Mom's daily needs are met attentively and we are kept up to date either when we visit or via a telephone call. If we have any questions regarding mom the staff are happy to help and if they can't answer'will find the answer for us with no hesitation. Mom has been in the home for 18 months now and is very happy and in her own words, she feels safe.

Mum has always been happy and settled at Shire Oak House. All the staff members are professional whilst still being caring and approachable. In the last two years I have never once experienced anything that would raise concerns. Management are always available to speak to and seem to run a happy ship. Thank you from my sister and I for mums continued care.

A respite care place was arranged for my elderly relative after a series of falls and hospital admissions as they were unsafe in their own home. First impressions of both myself and my sister is that the all the staff and management are very good, with the care of their residents being the top priority. The senior staff member who met us on the day my relative arrived was very friendly and focused on making my relative feel welcome and likewise the home's manager made time for me to explain my relatives situation, which was reassuring. My relative tells me that the meals have been good and more than enough for him. The room my relative has all the basics you need but maybe looks a little 'tired' in places but meets my relatives needs. However the level of care and concern has more than compensated for any minor issues with the facilities. I cannot comment on the activities undertaken as my relative has been there a short time. Early overall impressions are positive!

I cannot praise the staff, the manager, or her deputy enough.
Despite many behavioural challenges from my sister who has mental health illness they treated her with dignity and patience and did their utmost to seek help/work with professionals and family to support her needs.
Although my sister has now moved on I appreciate how the home went above and beyond for her.

All the staff greet you with a friendly manner and it is lovely to see them caring for the residents. The food was excellent and the home was always clean. We couldn't have asked for any more from any of the team at Shire Oak. Thank you!

My father has been at Shire Oak for a few months now. The staff are incredibly kind and work extremely hard to ensure that residents are happy and receive the very best of care.
The rooms are clean and bright and there is a good choice of food. The residents are encouraged to participate in a range of activities, which are stimulating and fun!

We would definitely recommend Shire Oak.

My mother has been at Shire Oak for nearly 12 months.

She seems very settled and happy. She has dementia and is comforted by the staff being there 24 hours. The staff are excellent, very caring and welcoming to the rest of the family. The home is clean and the decor, although tired, is being updated. I am happy with the care my mother receives, as she is happy.

My father-in-law has been at Shire Oak House for over a year. The home is reasonably small so all residents are well taken care of. My father-in-law is happy at Shire Oak. Above all the staff are outstanding, they are kind, caring and truly love all the residents, the biggest asset for any care home.
