Care Homes Owned by Bescot Lodge

All staff are always happy to help in any way they can, all in all my experiance has been a good and happy one. I would gladly recomend Bescot Lodge to any and all who may ask that Bescot Lodge is a perfect home to place any resedent whatever there needs may be.

Mom has been a resident here now for almost 18 months, she has been truly loved and cared for by all members of staff everyone doe's their upmost best to make her happy & comfortable and any issues are always delt with ASAP. We as a family are really happy with the care at the home. If we had any other family members that needed care we would definatly try here 1st to accomodate them.

My dad was placed in respite and Bescot Lodge in April and continued on to be a permanent resident. The manager and staff guided us and advised us all the way through and still do keep us up to date with everything we need to know. All the staff are caring and friendly, make you feel very welcome when you visit. The main thing my dad is happy and we know he's safe and being cared for by lovely carers.

Dad has been a resident for over twelve months and he is very happy with the service and care he receives.

I would like to thank all the staff at Leighswood and management for taking care of my mother for the duration of her stay, she is now in a routine of waking up and going to bed at reasonable times. She has gained weight and she is where she needs to be with her apetite and eating her food. Thank you for all you have done for her socially and her mental health.

The environment is clean, well-maintained, and feels calm. My father has been treated with kindness and respect throughout his stay, and the team have made a real effort to help him feel comfortable. Overall, Shire Oak has provided a safe and supportive setting during an important transition.

I am a resident of Shire Oak House I visit someone and made welcome, I have lunch sometimes. Staff and management love.

All the care staff I have met seem to be incredibly committed to their jo. They are always attentive and caring with the residents. The managers couldn't do enough for us, very helpful and put us at ease.

We are very satisfied with the care that is given to my sister. She is always very happy and looking good. The food is nice and she looks very well. We enjoy visiting here, and go home happy knowing she is in being looked after well.

Dad has recently moved into care, so it's been a new experience for us all. The team have been so kind and clear explaining everything to us. They always welcome me when I visit with a cheery smile and Dad is full of praise and appreciation for all the care he is given. It's been a very positive experience for us all and mended many previously fraught and unhappy parts of our family relationship.

My mother moved in Leighswood in May 2025 after she broke her leg in two places at her previous care home and was not doing very well there. She has dementia and is incontinent/ can't walk since May it has been a long process but I believe had she not moved she would not be here nearly a year later waiting the birth of her great-grandson. Leighswood are very caring and it's a very homely environment, not clinical as mums previous home. She has gained weight and is now eating meals herself which is thanks to staff for excellent care and patience. Amazing.

We were very apprehensive about mom going into a care facility but Shire Oak House soon put that to rest. We visit mom twice a week and are welcomed every time. The staff and management are very polite and welcoming. Mom's daily needs are met attentively and we are kept up to date either when we visit or via a telephone call. If we have any questions regarding mom the staff are happy to help and if they can't answer'will find the answer for us with no hesitation. Mom has been in the home for 18 months now and is very happy and in her own words, she feels safe.

I cannot begin to extol the virtue of this care home, its management and staff. - words are not enough. The love and compassion given to my cousin in his last few week of life was fantastic. There was a genuine warm feeling whenever I visited, not just to him but to other residents also, nothing was too much trouble for the staff and management. All I can say is that if ever I need care home, I hope it would be this one or one like it.

A very nice home my daughter and mums daughter on visiting mom both agreed it was the best home they had been in very homely and all staff are really nice and helpful. Mom is very well looked after we are really pleased we chose this home. Thank you for all you do to make mum happy (as she can be).

Mum has always been happy and settled at Shire Oak House. All the staff members are professional whilst still being caring and approachable. In the last two years I have never once experienced anything that would raise concerns. Management are always available to speak to and seem to run a happy ship. Thank you from my sister and I for mums continued care.

I found the staff at Bescot Lodge to be very caring to the residents. They were attentive and interacted with them throughout the day.

The staff at Thornton Lodge do a fantastic job at what must be a very challenging situation. They are always super friendly and seem happy in their work. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for them.
