It has been very good experience after having had a care crash on the 26 July and how I live alone it has been a very happy stay. In my past jobs I'd been cooking in a Care Home at night for two and a half years, so I could relate my experiences with the time I have been here and knowing what the staff
have to do regarding all the residents care. I will come to visit them all of them and very happy to do so. Wished that my mother could have stayed in a Home like this one, more happy would have been. Thank you.

My dad was placed here after other homes 'fell through', how thankful are we. He has settled so much quicker than we anticipated. He has gained weight and not once uttered, 'When am I coming home?'. The staff and management are approachable, supportive to both Dad and us and downright marvellous. The
home is clean and inviting, no nasty smells that hit you as you walk in. The food is fantastic and plenty of it. But what makes this the best place for my dad are the staff, they are all diamonds.

Leighswood is a lovely care home, the home is nicely laid out with communal spaces and has a calm, homely feel. There's always something happening with staff engaging with residents, and staff are extremely person centred and kind with their residents and are very welcoming to visitors. There is a lovely
calm atmosphere when you visit. Communication with families is open, honest, and reassuring. We are always kept informed, involved with my mother's care and health. I feel It's a place where residents are respected and supported, after visiting many care homes I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for compassionate and kind, person-centred care.

The staff at Bescot Lodge overall are friendly, hardworking and caring towards those using the facility. I'm kept updated on any incidents which require them to inform me, I'm also greeted by name by most of the staff which is nice. I feel Bescot would benefit from having additional staff, due to its
capacity I creasing significantly since my father arrived. I would like to give special a mention to 4 members of staff, in particular, and admin Thank you.

I find Bescot Lodge Care Home to be very good for my aunt, she feels comfortable and cared for. She enjoys her walks to the local park and to the local church coffee morning. She is also taken shopping. The staff treat her kindly and joke with her which she enjoys very much. She is well taken of care
in my opinion. Please note - value for money question - I don't pay the bill, my cousin does, so she'd know better than me about value for money!!

mom became a resident at bescot Lodge in April, she was moved here from the local hospital on a D2A This was her 2nd care home in 3 months, & due to past experiences in the former home we were feeling apprehensive about her level of care in this one, but almost straight away the difference in mom was
amazing.
The staff at bescot have been wonderful, mom is eating and drinking better, she is using normal cups and cutlery again, she is being engaged with all the time and encouraged to do what she is able to the best of her capabilities, we as a family feel that the care given at bescot is just fantastic, they are onto any health concern from the off & keep you 100% informed and involved,
All the staff are always polite & welcoming & it has a really family atmosphere, they do daily activities & also have a mobile hairdresser available for the residents.
Mom is now a permanent resident and we feel this is the best decision for her and us.

My mum has been in Thornton Lodge for 12 months. She suffers from Alzheimers and
the staff are lovely with her. They do their best to get her involved in activities and reassure her when she is feeling anxious.
Whenever we go to visit we are made to feel welcome but are not made to feel bad if
we haven't been for a while.
I love that they are dog friendly so I can take my dogs to see mum as i knew she'd miss them.
There are some amazing carers who appear very invested in the staff - obviously some are better than others. I'm also happy to see that in the year my mum has been there there has not been much of a change of staff providing consistency for the residents and family.
On first glance the home does not look as luxurious as some I have been in but it always seems clean and the murals on the walls are lovely and cheerful.
I would have given the home 5 stars if there was more staff which to allow more 1 to 1 time or activities but I know this is not the fault of the carers.
