Grange Hill House

My Auntie was very happy during her time at Grange Hill House. She got on well with the staff who were always very considerate and caring towards her. She enjoyed the activities and built good relationships with people coming in and out of the home. Much praise goes to the staff for their good care of her.

My friend stayed for 2 weeks respite and enjoyed it greatly. We have already recommended Grange Hill House to 3 people.

We cannot fault this home.

As you can see how I scored the home, I cannot fault it in any other way. It was in my opinion, excellent.

Mom moved to Grange Hill after living independently prior to a life-threatening fall. The staff at Grange Hill did everything possible to make the transition as easy as it could be. During her time at Grange Hill (June 19-Aug 20) she was really loved and cared for. During her final few days, I could not have wanted better care for her. Also, all family members were made to feel welcome every time we visited.

Our auntie was treated lovely by all staff and management, nothing was too much trouble. When she passed and prior we were allowed to hold her hand and sit with her, dignity was maintained at all times. This care home is a lovely place, friendly, good food and varied entertainment. I would highly recommend it. The staff and management are excellent they listen and actor on what you say and any concerns you may have.

Also, very good communications at all times.

Mom was in Grange Hill House for 4 and a half years and although leaving her own home was a huge wrench, she settled into her new home with the help of her family and the support and care of the staff. On the whole, we were very pleased with the standards maintained at the home and the activities provided which Mom enjoyed until her mobility and mind deteriorated. We always found the home to be warm, welcoming and comfortable. When Mom had a stroke two weeks before she died she remained at the home and we can't speak highly enough of the care and attention she received from all the staff.

Also, the meals were of a very high standard, and the surroundings and activities were excellent.

My mother lived ay Grange Hill House for four years. During that time she was always well cared for and made to feel at home. Staff and management made sure that I was always aware of any changes in her condition.

After fracturing wrist and leaving the hospital, I moved myself to Grange Hill House care home for a short stay. During this time, everyone involved, both management and carers, gave me very good care and interest.

It was reassuring to know that my moms care and her well being were in safe hands. The family never had any concerns with that aspect and felt we made the right decision to place her in this residential care home.

Mom spent the last four months of her life at Grange Hill House. From the day she arrived, she was made to feel welcome and part of the family. It is like a family home. All the staff could not be more caring and attentive. This always comes from the top, and the manager is the best.

My father became a resident of Grange Hill House in August last year and we could not have chosen a better place. From the outset, the management team were very helpful and have continued to support us in all aspects of the process. Dad was warmly welcomed from his initial visit and the staff all made an effort to get to know him well. The friendly, family atmosphere ensured that he settled very quickly and easily adapted to a new style of living. The setting of this home is enviable, beautifully maintained gardens with wonderful wildlife which adds to the overall atmosphere. Visitors are made very welcome, this extended to being given the opportunity for several family members to visit for Sunday lunch with my father when it was his birthday. After a relatively short few months, I feel that my father is settled, cared for and safe, in an environment which could not be bettered.
