Minster Grange Residential Home

My mum has been in Minster Grange since Dec 2025. When we were told it was a 'home from home' they were not wrong! Each time we visit, each staff member is warm and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The staff are always smiling and happy and are always offering hot drinks to visitors when they visit. It is a lovely family environment and we are so happy we have chosen Minster Grange. It is such a difficult decision for a family member to go into residential care but the manager was so lovely and caring and reassured us of the excellent care she would receive. When a medical problem arose, the senior carer immediately sought medical attention and she was promptly treated. As a family, we are always kept updated and involved with care. Most importantly, my mum is happy and contented and now realises that she couldn't live alone anymore. She says the staff are so kind and friendly. This care home deserves 10/10

I would not hesitate to use the home for respite again.

The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Helpful to my cousin who is a resident. Supposed to be temporary six years ago and still happily going on.

The staff are always welcoming and the residents are always well cared for and seem ok, Mum is happy there. The residents are clean and well-fed. The staff are approachable and keep us updated on the health of Mum by phone or when we visit.

Our mother has been a resident within the home for less than a year and there has been a big improvement in her weight and overall heath. Well done everyone at Minster Grange.

My husband has been at Minster Grange for 14 months. His care by all staff and management has been excellent, he has settled well, and any concerns I have had have been dealt with immediately. They have shown me a lot of compassion when I've been struggling. Couldn't wish for a better place, and staff credit to them all; they are diamonds.

The care home is so beautiful and has a lovely homely feel as soon as you walk in, and everyone feels like one big happy family there. The manager and the team are so lovely and go above and beyond to give the best care to the residents. My mom has settled in well and her health has improved since being there, I cannot thank the staff enough for what they do on a daily basis. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone.

This is a lovely, 'homely' care home with staff that really care. We are so pleased we chose Minster Grange for our mother.

Our experience with Minster Grange has been very positive. The home is of a very good standard in all respects but most importantly the caring and helpful staff have made my mother really happy. It seems like one big family and they really do care. This helpful attitude also extends to visitors. My mother's health seems to be better in general since arrival and she has put on a small amount of weight due to better eating which has really been good for her, but most important to us all is that she is much more happier than before.

This is a wonderful place, lovely staff who actually care! They looked after my mum fantastically well and every time I visited she was happy and in great spirits which can't be said for some care homes I have visited! Mum felt safe and secure and well looked after and cared for at all times which is a huge weight off my shoulders. If you have a relative or loved one that needs residential care I would highly recommend Minster Grange.

This is an excellent care home. The staff are very friendly and caring and my mother has improved drastically since I moved her here.

My mother has been at Minster Grange for 2 years now after a diagnosis of advanced dementia. Her physical state has improved considerably in that time. We visit weekly and always feel impressed by the friendly and caring staff. They are always busy doing something for the clients e.g making drinks, helping them to the toilet, giving manicures etc. There is always a display of posters which advertise the activities for that week, Visiting Singer, Excercise class. My wife is a registered nurse and is very impressed by the standards of cleanliness. There is no unpleasant smell (often associated with a care home). It may not be the biggest or most modern of homes but it is beautifully kept, very homely and extremely good value for money. We have found a real gem here!.

We have found the staff very helpful and caring in everything they do. They organised events very well to keep residents involved with daily life. Nothing seems to be too much trouble.

The team are very welcoming at any time and seem to work well together leaving us delighted with the care provided.

My husband went in for nine days respite care. He has dementia. This is the first time this has happened and I was very stressed at his coping with the situation. He did not understand where or why he was going. I need not have worried. The staff at Minster Grange were very kind. They looked after his every need. They even got him to engage in the activities.

I am so impressed with the home and staff. I am hoping to have more respite care and will ask for Minster Grange again if possible. I recommend it to everyone.

Our mum has been in Minster Grange only a few months in that time she has been very happy and contented. Something we thought she would be against has proved very enjoyable for her. This, of course, is a reflection on the staff and management who are very professional at carrying out their duties. It is a pleasure to visit and see everyone happy and well cared for.
