Hi, my name is Debi, and I joined the team as Home Manager at Nightingale Court in February 2026. As someone who has spent over 35 years working in health and social care, I can proudly say that it has been more than just a career for me; it has been a passion and a privilege. I qualified as a Registered General Nurse in September 1988 and still hold an active NMC number. I am a very present and hands-on leader. You will usually find me chatting with residents, catching up with families, or working alongside the team. Building real relationships is important to me. I want people to feel listened to, understood, and supported, whether they are living in our care, visiting a loved one, or working alongside us. The company's values and warmth, going above and beyond, align so closely with my own.

I am dedicated to ensuring the delivery of high-quality care by my team and endeavour to create a ‘Home from Home ‘environment for our residents to enjoy, based on our Company Values – Compassionate Care, Understanding, Respect and Dignity and accountability.

I am committed to the delivery of person-centred care and focus on what residents can do, not what they cannot. I promote independence and well-being.

Staff training and development is of the utmost importance to me, and I ensure that our team are up-to-date with the latest research, policies and best practices, so that I can enhance the quality of care delivered throughout the home.

My door is always open to staff, residents, and relatives. Whether someone needs advice, reassurance, a listening ear, or simply a chat, I want everyone to feel welcome, valued, and heard. Supporting others is not just part of my job; it is the reason I chose this path all those years ago.

My Name is Stacey Simester, and I have worked at Nightingale Court for 15 years. I am the administrator responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of the service. Through my experience here at Nightingale Court, I have developed strong knowledge of office systems, data management, and compliance requirements, particularly within a care-focused environment. My values align closely with the role, including professionalism, respect, compassion and integrity. I am committed to maintaining confidentiality, promoting dignity and supporting a positive environment for both residents and staff. I take pride in being reliable, detail-oriented and approachable, contributing to a supportive and well-organised workplace.

My name is Chloe and I am the Activities Coordinator at Nightingale Court, a role I started in April 2026. I have worked in care for over 12 years in a variety of roles including care, housekeeping, kitchen, laundry, and activities, which has given me a well-rounded understanding of supporting residents and their needs.

Care has always been a big part of my life, as my nan owned a nursing home and my mom has worked in the sector for over 35 years as a nurse and in various management roles. This background has helped shape my passion for care.

I am dedicated to creating meaningful and enjoyable activities, and I take great pride in seeing residents happy, engaged and smiling every day.

Hi, my name is Becky,

I am a General Assistant at Nightingale Court. My job role includes cleaning, laundry and kitchen assistant. I have worked here for 4 years. During my time at Nightingale Court, I have built up some amazing relationships with our residents, and I have enjoyed interacting with each and every one of them. They are always happy and thriving; each day is never the same, which is what I absolutely love.

We also have an amazing, strong, bonded team who all have the same goal to provide top-quality and person-centred care for our residents. We all come together and really are one big happy family. We all feel very supported and valued, and this is a reflection of the care provided to our residents.

Nightingale Court is certainly a safe space and a pleasure to be a part of.

My name is Cara. I have worked at Nightingale Court for around 3 years. I am a General assistant, and I work in the following departments throughout Nightingale Court- the main kitchen, laundry and part of the Housekeeping team. I love working at Nightingale Court. I have built some great bonds with the residents and their families. We have a brilliant and highly motivated team here that has become like family. We all work together creating memories with our residents each day, and I love interacting with them and seeing the smiles on their faces when we have made their day enjoyable and meaningful. I have been in the care sector since I was 17 years of age, took a short break, where I changed my career, but I found myself returning to care. It is the job I love, and it is the most rewarding job I have ever done.

My Name is Kerry Owen, and I work within the Dining room at Nightingale Court. I have worked at Nightingale Court for 7 years. My role involves assisting residents in maintaining their nutritional and hydration needs. I offer support to our residents, this may be through menu choices, likes and dislikes. Making sure that the presentation of the dining room is a pleasant and relaxing experience to enhance our dining service. The residents love ‘my treat trolley’ where extra snacks, usually of the chocolate variety, are shared. This close interaction with the residents allows me to ensure person-centred care delivery is of the highest standard, and I have the privilege of having the time to sit with the residents, chatting with them, along with the outcome of ensuring the diet and nutritional needs are met.

Hi, my name is Sharon, and I work as a chef at Nightingale Court Care Home. I have worked at Nightingale for 16 months, but have worked in the care sector for 10 years.

Along with my team, we aim to create nutritious and tasty meals for our lovely residents to enjoy. We work as a team here at Nightingale Court, and we truly focus on providing the best care, food and a happy 'Home from Home ' environment for our residents, which is, of course, what they deserve.

Hi, my name is Gue. I work as the Maintenance Man at Nightingale Court. I have a great sense of humour, and I love to interact with the residents and the staff here at Nightingale Court. My role is to ensure the environment remains well presented and meets all the statutory requirements for Health and Safety and the comfort of our residents.

Hi, my name is Lyndsey. I am one of the chefs at Nightingale Court. My responsibilities are ensuring I create high-quality dishes, as well as ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. I plan menus, prepare and cook meals, and maintain excellent food presentation standards. Alongside this, I manage kitchen hygiene, follow food safety regulations, and oversee stock control. Working as part of a team, I coordinate with colleagues to deliver a great dining experience for every resident at Nightingale Court.

Hi, my name is Sophie. I have worked here at Nightingale Court for almost 7 ½ years. I have held numerous roles in my time here at Nightingale Court, which have included care, housekeeping and overseeing the laundry- I have enjoyed all of the roles and responsibilities these posts have given me the opportunity to be part of the Team.

One of the things I love about Nightingale Court is that we all love and adore our residents here; they are the heart of the home, their home. Here at Nightingale Court, not only are we a team, but we are a family, a family in which we support each other, not only in good but also in difficult and challenging times.
