Hartlands Care Home

Mum has now been a resident for 18 months. I can't speak highly enough of the support care and commitment that she has received from the staff at the home. This home despite its size feels like a home and the staff genuinely care for the residents they support. They have also been supportive of both myself and my brother as it is difficult when you have to take the decision for your mum or dad to enter the care system. We are reassured that Mum is safe and well looked after 24 hours a day.

My brother-in-law celebrated his 70th birthday in the home this month (April). The staff made his day memorable and baked him a large cake, which I'm sure he enjoyed, having a 'sweet tooth'!

I am very happy with the care my husband is receiving. All staff members go above and beyond.

To my mind the big "plus" is the commitment and dedication of the staff.

My mother has been a resident of Hartlands Care Home for some 10 months. She settled in comfortably in a very short period of time. The daily care and attention she receives from the staff are outstanding in all respects as is the care other residents receive whether incapacitated, confused or frightened. The dedication and professionalism of the care staff cannot be underestimated and it leaves some reassured my mother is in safe hands.

I can wholeheartedly recommend the Hartlands to any relative who is looking for a care home in Shrewsbury.

Management and staff are very friendly, attentive and caring. Mum has settled in really well and receives excellent care. Hartlands Care Home has a very homely atmosphere and a lovely garden. Look forward very much to my visits to see Mum.

Atmosphere is relaxed. Only slight downside has been lower levels of activities but hopefully this will now improve post covid.

Mum has been looked after extremely well since moving into the care of Hartlands. The staff are lovely and have always welcomed us when visiting, nothing is too much trouble. I have no hesitation in recommending the quality of care on offer.

My mum has been very happy here. The staff deal with her needs very well and she always looks clean and well cared for. I am always kept well informed of any issues that arise. It would be good to see more activities/events being organised when the Covid situation improves. I feel happy that Mum is safe and has constant support around her in a lovely, homely atmosphere.

My brother and I were faced with a very difficult decision to put Mum into residential care. The Hartlands, however, have subsequently made that decision the right one for most importantly Mum, but us as well. The staff have been kind and caring not only to Mum but also to us. Mum is receiving excellent care. She is happy, eating well and looks better than she has in a long time, all thanks to Hartlands care.

Very happy to of found this friendly homely home! All the staff are very attentive and willing to help. The residents are happy too. My mother settled in within a week. I have worked in homes before and this is the very best by all counts. The home is decorated nicely and is very clean and no unpleasant smells. We are pleased mum has settled down and we don't have to worry about anything as the home and staff have all things covered. A very nice small home indeed.

The manager and staff are very caring and understanding, my mother receives excellent care, the food is wonderful. The cook really cares about the patients and tries to cater for all palates. My mother can be very picky where food is concerned they have even got her eating things she would never try before. She is very happy there.

In the short time mum has been at Hartlands Care Home she has been very happy and settled in well. Staff and management are always pleasant and willing to talk if you have any concerns. Both my sister and I have found that they have all made a very difficult decision to put mum into care far easier and made us feel it was the right outcome for mum as well as us and couldn't have made us more welcome.

My Sister in Law has been at the Hartlands for 6 1/2 years. Her sister and I have visited twice a week during this time and we are extremely happy with the care and kindness shown to her. I have no hesitation recommending the Hartlands.

It is a very comfortable place to be in.

My mother passed away on the 11th of December 2019, but the care my mother had was second to none. I would recommend this home to anyone.

We had a Residents and Family meeting yesterday that I attended, and it seems residents will have a full calendar of trips and activities, I know this will make Dad happy and probably a lot of the other residents.

Staff are always busy running around, sometimes not enough time for entertaining residents.
