Hartlands Care Home is a care provider experienced in delivering personalised Dementia care for residents. Located in the town of Shrewsbury, the facility is within easy access of a bus stop, train station and local amenities.

The ethos at Hartlands Care Home is to provide a homely environment where residents feel valued and are respected in their independence, creating a family feel. Staff are encouraged to spend quality time with residents having a cuppa and a chat or watching TV together.

Spacious bedrooms, bathrooms and a large garden area await each resident offering relaxation and comfort. They have 3 lounge areas for residents to choose from also a spacious dining area where staff are encouraged to sit and eat their meals as a family.

Daily activities comprise of arts and crafts, music sessions and meals out. Local church and theatre visitors also attend Hartlands providing individuals with enjoyable entertainment and an opportunity to interact with others.

Nutritious and skilfully prepared meals are also available to residents which are cooked from fresh seasonal produce.

My mum has been very happy here. The staff deal with her needs very well and she always looks clean and well cared for. I am always kept well informed of any issues that arise. It would be good to see more activities/events being organised when the Covid situation improves. I feel happy that Mum is
safe and has constant support around her in a lovely, homely atmosphere.

My brother and I were faced with a very difficult decision to put Mum into residential care. The Hartlands, however, have subsequently made that decision the right one for most importantly Mum, but us as well. The staff have been kind and caring not only to Mum but also to us. Mum is receiving excellent
care. She is happy, eating well and looks better than she has in a long time, all thanks to Hartlands care.

Very happy to of found this friendly homely home! All the staff are very attentive and willing to help. The residents are happy too. My mother settled in within a week. I have worked in homes before and this is the very best by all counts. The home is decorated nicely and is very clean and no unpleasant
smells. We are pleased mum has settled down and we don't have to worry about anything as the home and staff have all things covered. A very nice small home indeed.

The manager and staff are very caring and understanding, my mother receives excellent care, the food is wonderful. The cook really cares about the patients and tries to cater for all palates. My mother can be very picky where food is concerned they have even got her eating things she would never try
before. She is very happy there.

In the short time mum has been at Hartlands Care Home she has been very happy and settled in well. Staff and management are always pleasant and willing to talk if you have any concerns. Both my sister and I have found that they have all made a very difficult decision to put mum into care far easier
and made us feel it was the right outcome for mum as well as us and couldn't have made us more welcome.

My Sister in Law has been at the Hartlands for 6 1/2 years. Her sister and I have visited twice a week during this time and we are extremely happy with the care and kindness shown to her. I have no hesitation recommending the Hartlands.

My mother passed away on the 11th of December 2019, but the care my mother had was second to none. I would recommend this home to anyone.

My father has been at Hartlands for ten days. I know it's early days, but he seems calmer, more pleasant and is talking to people again, and not just lying on his bed!
He was moved from another care home, where he was getting violent and abusive to residents and staff, but there has been none of that
at Hartlands (so far), as I said it's early days. But the staff seem to have a different way with residents, firm but kind and it just seems to have clicked with Dad.
The staff seem to be able to deal with issues almost before they have happened.
The staff have got professionals in to totally review my father, changed tablets and doses, creams, etc; so, therefore, I think maybe sorted some of the problems.
We had a Residents and Family meeting yesterday that I attended, and it seems residents will have a full calendar of trips and activities, I know this will make Dad happy and probably a lot of the other residents.

The care all staff show to the residents is very good.
The meals are extremely varied and well prepared. Very nice small lounges with comfortable chairs. Any issues relating to the health of residents are dealt with promptly and efficiently.

As a family, we were extremely anxious needing to move mum into residential care. All the management and staff have been wonderful with mum and the whole family. We didn't think mum would settle at all, as her dementia is quite severe, however, she was settled within 4 weeks. We have been so impressed
with the care and love she has been given as well and the support for the family at all times when we need it. I would highly recommend this wonderful home for anyone suffering from dementia.

Very pleased with the friendly efficient staff. They are always welcoming at any time. My mother is well looked after, always clean, well dressed and presentable. Her room is immaculate.

In addition to the crosses I've given below, I'm very pleased with the way the home deals quickly with any concern you have.
My husband seems very settled there and all the staff make me feel very welcome whenever I visit, which on average is about four times a week. I attended all the Christmas functions,
the party, the visit to a hotel and Christmas lunch. Well done.

My mother is very well cared for at Hartlands. I thought she would never settle into a care home but Hartlands feels like being at home rather than ‘in a home’. The care is excellent and she is treated with kindness and dignity. It is good to see my mother so happy. She is also eating well again because
the food is so good. I feel that I am also included as part of her care package and am consulted regularly.

I would highly recommend this care home. My mum has been a resident for many months and she has been treated very well. The care given is second to none and everyone there is always very helpful. They take very good care of her and also include many activities which she enjoys. The food is excellent
and when we call we are always asked if we would like a cup of tea. Her room is always clean and tidy and she is always dressed very nice. We could not be happier with how she is looked after.
