Hartlands Care Home

The meals are extremely varied and well prepared. Very nice small lounges with comfortable chairs. Any issues relating to the health of residents are dealt with promptly and efficiently.

I found Hartlands to be wonderful for my father. All the residents mixed nicely together and the staff were all so caring. It was a happy place to be and I would recommend and do to anyone.

As a family, we were extremely anxious needing to move mum into residential care. All the management and staff have been wonderful with mum and the whole family. We didn't think mum would settle at all, as her dementia is quite severe, however, she was settled within 4 weeks. We have been so impressed with the care and love she has been given as well and the support for the family at all times when we need it. I would highly recommend this wonderful home for anyone suffering from dementia.

Mum has been a resident for 4 weeks and settled well. Desire to roam/wander has stopped. All family members made to feel welcome when visiting. Keep up the good work.

Couldn't find a better home to send my father to. The staff are lovely, very caring. Excellent rooms and do a varied choice of activities. He is very happy.

Homely feel.

My husband seems very settled there and all the staff make me feel very welcome whenever I visit, which on average is about four times a week. I attended all the Christmas functions, the party, the visit to a hotel and Christmas lunch. Well done.

My mother is very well cared for at Hartlands. I thought she would never settle into a care home but Hartlands feels like being at home rather than ‘in a home’. The care is excellent and she is treated with kindness and dignity. It is good to see my mother so happy. She is also eating well again because the food is so good. I feel that I am also included as part of her care package and am consulted regularly.

I would highly recommend this care home. My mum has been a resident for many months and she has been treated very well. The care given is second to none and everyone there is always very helpful. They take very good care of her and also include many activities which she enjoys. The food is excellent and when we call we are always asked if we would like a cup of tea. Her room is always clean and tidy and she is always dressed very nice. We could not be happier with how she is looked after.

Mum has been here since December 2016. She settled in very quickly, which was pleasing as she was not at all settled in the previous home she was in. The staff are friendly and attentive and deal with all residents and visitors compassionately. They spent time getting to know her. They treat residents as individuals and ensure that their wishes are catered for as much as possible.

My mother came to Hartlands Care Home in December 2017. The staff have been so welcoming and caring. My mother has been helped to settle in so quickly. Staff communicate regularly with me so I am happy my mother is well cared for.

My aunt has been in this home for just over 12 months now and I couldn't be happier with the care she is receiving. The staff are all friendly and caring. Everything about this home is great and nothing is too much trouble.

Hartlands is an amazing care home that has exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff are superb and treat every resident as if they were their own family. They constantly strive to maximise the quality of life of every resident. The management team are second to none and their determination to provide optimum care for all is clear among all the staff who it's plain to see love their work. We would have no hesitation in highly recommencing the Hartlands.

I'm very happy with the way my mother is treated by the staff. They are very attentive, helpful and friendly. My mother is very happy there. The food is very good.

Apart from these two "grumbles", I am pleased with everything else.

We think we have been very lucky to find such a caring residential home and would certainly recommend Hartlands in the future, particularly to families who find themselves in the same situation as ourselves.

2) Activities (outside only) - These have been sparse this year due to staff movements but a new co-ordinator has now been hired.

From the moment my mother went into The Hartlands I was reassured that she was in very good hands. I have been more than pleased with every aspect of her care. The home is now being refurbished and every detail is warm and inviting. The staff are all so kind and understanding and nothing is too much trouble for them.

When my mum went in the home in Jan 2015 it broke my heart, it's not a nice thing to have to do but she wasn't safe at home on her own. It all looked so drab and gloomy but I got to find out the care was very good, all staff are lovely so the surroundings are not important. The home has recently been taken over and already you can see a big improvement, brighter, new carpets, cups and saucers, all looking much better.
