Hartlands Care Home is a care provider experienced in delivering personalised Dementia care for residents. Located in the town of Shrewsbury, the facility is within easy access of a bus stop, train station and local amenities.

The ethos at Hartlands Care Home is to provide a homely environment where residents feel valued and are respected in their independence, creating a family feel. Staff are encouraged to spend quality time with residents having a cuppa and a chat or watching TV together.

Spacious bedrooms, bathrooms and a large garden area await each resident offering relaxation and comfort. They have 3 lounge areas for residents to choose from also a spacious dining area where staff are encouraged to sit and eat their meals as a family.

Daily activities comprise of arts and crafts, music sessions and meals out. Local church and theatre visitors also attend Hartlands providing individuals with enjoyable entertainment and an opportunity to interact with others.

Nutritious and skilfully prepared meals are also available to residents which are cooked from fresh seasonal produce.

Professional and experienced staff are committed to ensure the highest standards of personalised Dementia care are maintained to meet the lifestyle needs of individuals.

Mum has been here since December 2016. She settled in very quickly, which was pleasing as she was not at all settled in the previous home she was in. The staff are friendly and attentive and deal with all residents and visitors compassionately. They spent time getting to know her. They treat residents
as individuals and ensure that their wishes are catered for as much as possible.

My mother came to Hartlands Care Home in December 2017. The staff have been so welcoming and caring. My mother has been helped to settle in so quickly. Staff communicate regularly with me so I am happy my mother is well cared for.

My aunt has been in this home for just over 12 months now and I couldn't be happier with the care she is receiving. The staff are all friendly and caring. Everything about this home is great and nothing is too much trouble.

Hartlands is an amazing care home that has exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff are superb and treat every resident as if they were their own family. They constantly strive to maximise the quality of life of every resident. The management team are second to none and their determination
to provide optimum care for all is clear among all the staff who it's plain to see love their work. We would have no hesitation in highly recommencing the Hartlands.

I'm very happy with the way my mother is treated by the staff. They are very attentive, helpful and friendly. My mother is very happy there. The food is very good.


I have two complaints,
1) The staff do seem to get the washing mixed up as my mother sometimes ends up wearing other people's clothes.
2)

The home does smell sometimes of urine.
Apart from these two "grumbles", I am pleased with everything else.

The care and communication that Hartlands provide is excellent. My mum-in-law moved into Hartlands in October 2015. We have been very pleased with the service provided by them. We live many miles from Shrewsbury and are not able to visit on a regular basis. Hartlands keep us informed regularly of any
changes in Mums health.
We think we have been very lucky to find such a caring residential home and would certainly recommend Hartlands in the future, particularly to families who find themselves in the same situation as ourselves.

My wife has been there for almost 3 years. She is very settled and happy there, and is popular with both staff and residents, with her amazing conversations and friendly nature. I see this for myself on my regular visits to her - always laughing.
I personally find the home a friendly place - the staff
and management are very understanding, caring and regularly keep me informed if any problems arise with my wife. Contact with her doctors and their response, has been very good.
My only complaints are;
1) Facilities - Although her clothing is always marked by me, my daughter and I regularly find other residents clothing in her room or her own items missing. This is a regular occurrence.
2) Activities (outside only) - These have been sparse this year due to staff movements but a new co-ordinator has now been hired.

From the moment my mother went into The Hartlands I was reassured that she was in very good hands. I have been more than pleased with every aspect of her care. The home is now being refurbished and every detail is warm and inviting. The staff are all so kind and understanding and nothing is too much

When my mum went in the home in Jan 2015 it broke my heart, it's not a nice thing to have to do but she wasn't safe at home on her own. It all looked so drab and gloomy but I got to find out the care was very good, all staff are lovely so the surroundings are not important. The home has recently been
taken over and already you can see a big improvement, brighter, new carpets, cups and saucers, all looking much better.

Absolute angels. Time, compassion, care, attention in abundance. Every sensitivity to her requirements and needs, night and day. Every member of staff was exemplary.
Consummate professionals.
Mother-in-law was placed here to care for her after suffering a stroke and they were wonderful.
Everything
about the place was a model of how things should be done.
The emphasis is upon 'caring' as it should be but they also cared for her dignity as well as her other needs.
They gave her comfort as though she were their own, so precious.
I cannot commend them highly enough for the standard of care given, her every need was tended to.
This is the best level of service that could possibly be offered, without flaw.
