Far Fillimore Care Home

I have been coming to see my Sister in the care home for a while now and i have seen some changes over the past few months and i have to say it is for the better . Staff morale has lifted the staff seem happier It is fun and laughter with the residents , staff levels have increased . The entertainment they have is brilliant they is always something to look forward to , the party in the garden was brilliant .They have a lot of new faces and i have to say they are all very welcoming always smiling and happy to help . They is no doubt in my mind that my friend and all the residents at Far Fillimore are going to be looked after in a respectful and dignified way .

Would not recommend in its current state, CQC need to visit urgently.

The staff at far fillimore have been very helpful and kind to both me and my mum its a very distressing time placing a relative into a care home for both the resident and the family but with help from the staff mum has settled in quite well she enjoys all activities offered and seems to be happy their

I find the activities to keep the residents motivated and enjoyable to be an asset. Every resident takes part whether its a visit by a dog or a pony. Games, singing, exercises to keep fit using scarfs, squeeze balls etc. Seasonal activities like Halloween, bonfire night, poppy making and of course Christmas, to name a few. Its a pleasure to visit and talk to all residents and staff.

Friendly cozy care home with friendly staff mum bin there 3-4 years she very happy and Michelle the activities co ordinator keeps the residents occupied and happy and the carers office staff always there if needed

My wife has been a resident for just over a year. After an initial difficult start, she settled in and is more content now. She takes part in the various activities and enjoys the visits of Max the dog and the small horse. I am kept fully informed about any decisions regarding her health (eg visit of physiotherapist, doctor, etc.). The care home itself is well laid out and convenient for meals, activities and visits. Overall, it is going well.

The staff at Far Fillimore Care have been very approachable and pleasant to deal with. They were really good with the transition of my father from hospital. They have been very attentive to his needs both medical and personal.

Dad has settled into life at the care home. He takes part in all the activities and enjoys everything. Well done to the tea, at Far Fillimore.

The welcome, friendship, kindness and care and relaxed atmosphere were perfect for my friend. Like coming home. All this is only achieved by those within and sheer hard work. A credit to all.

Managers and staff are very approachable.

Our mother is 98 years old and reasonably fit, but she has dementia. She moved into Far Fillimore in mid July and we are delighted at how quickly she settled in. Before then she would display symptoms of stress when she was unhappy, and it's clear that she is now contented, occupied and well cared for. She looks interested in life again and is able to move freely and safely with her new walking frame. She loves the social side of this friendly home. the staff are brilliant at dealing with dementia, kindly and patiently. Family are welcome to visit any time and we always find her nicely dressed and her hair in order. This is a very well run home and we are hugely impressed and grateful for their care.

From the first meeting and initial viewing to the present day we have no complaints. Facilities and cleanliness is excellent and all the staff members are pleasant and very helpful. All my father's needs are met and there is a very happy feel to the home.

Mum first went in for respite care, she had been living with my husband and me for two years. After a period of time trying to shower her became almost impossible. Her mobility was getting worse, and after a long chat, she said she wanted to go into permanent care, so, Far Fillimore Care Home was chosen because she got on well with the staff, it was clean and very homely.

Lovely caring staff, a real home from home and a safe environment. Good communication and go the extra mile to ensure my father gets the best care. The rooms are clean and there is no smell as I have found in other homes. Dad is always happy and although he can't remember what he has had to eat he always says it was "lovely".

The home provides a very pleasant and safe environment for it's residents in a quiet setting in the countryside. The level of cleanliness is particularly high, the meals are varied and well presented and the overall atmosphere welcoming and caring. The on-site management is worthy of particular note for both efficiency and exceeding one's expectations.

My mother has been a resident in Far Fillimore for several years and has received excellent care. They have continued to give her full attention, ongoing with her decline of health. During covid the home gave every attention to detail, keeping all the residents safe and well. The home is clean and comfy and the staff are wonderful.

My mother has been cared for by the Far Fillimore staff for just over two years. They understand the care she needs, and they provide a safe, caring and friendly place for her to live. Her room is clean and tidy, and the house and gardens are kept beautiful. They have regular functions and activities, including regular music events. Since being in Far Fillimore, her general health has improved, even though she is suffering from the early stages of dementia.

My mother is a resident here. We are extremely happy with the care and service to cater to all of her needs. Family members are continuously involved and supported in all that happens in the home.

My aunt has been a resident at Far Fillmore for five years now, and I can honestly say that I could not have wished for a better home for her. The managers and staff have done their very best to ensure her safety and continued health. In addition, they organised various activities and parties throughout the year to provide interest for residents and their families. Far Fillmore is an excellent home in all meanings of the more.

My own concerns (if any) are answered quickly and everything is explained clearly to me.
